Just bought the belltower key to access the roof. Gave the crows a vertebrae shackle, lo and behold, lucatiel's mask. In case you didn't know yet (I doubt). Amazing walkthrough you got here bro! Very thorough. Keep it up.
Still works in 2023 and you also get an estus shard right next to the crow nest, 100% worth doing as soon as you get to firelink, only took 4 or 5 try ! Quick tip : aim a little bit more towards the tree so that you reach max height and the tree should deveate youre trajectory towards the roof.
@@addisonhargis4023 Nah, From Software just knows that this an absoutly adored part of the game, there plenty of glitches from DS1 remasted that they could have patached out but they instead made it part of the game for people to have fun.

hey just been looking through these again they r awesome! there is also an other goodie u can get when making the trickjump A crystal lizard. run along the roof towards where u fought katanaman and u can slip behind the firelink shrine to find yourself the lizard.
If you keep to the outside after getting on the roof and go all the way around to the back base of the building and follow the small narrow dirt path there will be a crystal lizard that drops twinkling titanite around the back case of the building
I do this on every new character. Still works. Also, I find it easier to start closer to the building to run up the tree and jump sideways into the roof.
Very nice I can confirm the jump is still working and I just bought the digital copy on the new Xbox 👍 I almost gave up because I’ve heard of them fixing certain things in elden ring

There is a crystal lizard that I think you have miss during you walktrough, as you do the trickie jump if you round the building without entering the place where the bird is, there is a crystal lizard behind the building
I drop the coin and the voice told "this is no picke pe... This is no pum run" some like that ..... the drop continues be a rusted coin .... i drop the coin again and i felt and die =/ ... backing tho the nest, my coin is missed and there is no armor. Sry for my english
...have you found the solution yet? its not the coin that you're meant to be dropping, its the seigbrau, which u get from onion man. he does say that in the video :)
So yeah you probably already know but here we go, basically if you've given the crow another item (like the firebomb for a large titanite shard like my case), he will not accept another item in that playthrough, you will only be able to give him another thing in a NG+
Something that helps with the jump massively is by using your controller accessibility options. Start off by making sure jump is set to L3. Next goto your Playstation settings, controller, accessibility, then button mapping. Then I swapped L3 with L1. This will then allow you to use L1 to jump. Don't forget to change it back after 🙂
If you keep going left along the ledge instead of turning right and going into the crow's nest area, you reach a point where you can safely cheese the samurai with a ranged attack

I found that running directly at the trunk of the tree made it a bit easier. When you jump, it flings you to the right toward the roof.

You are the first I have seen take that approach and angle.. You sir are the only one whose angle actually cuts the time in half.

I'm a bit behind everyone else, but I just tried this today and it worked (took maybe 10-15 attempts)!
Surprisingly enough it still works. It's very difficult to do your first time but it still works
You could also use the thing you use to upgrade your estus flask not the shards but the thing that makes it +1
