That was a great straight to the point video thank u for not adding a bunch of fluff
Moissanite typically has more rainbow, I tried to not look at the words on screen and make my own opinion. For recently purchasing real diamonds I realized that diamonds reflect a lot of white light, and this video I found that the Moissanite reflected a lot of white light while these super polish diamond reflects a lot of colorful light, this tells me that high-end Moissanite is now a suitable competition to diamonds
I can't believe this fire polishing gave a diamond more of a rainbow effect than a moissanite! It looks opposite, like the diamond is on the left and the moissanite is on the right! What kind of moissanite is it? C&C is the common one, but usually it has more of a rainbow effect, so that's why I'm asking... 🤷♀️
Sorry for the late reply (just saw this for some reason). I can't recall 100% which moissanite brand we used in the video. But if it were a C&C moissanite, although the rainbow effect might be slightly increased, the visual difference would still indeed be pretty noticeable.
hi, what would it look like after a solasfera diamond is fire polished??? :)
Hi Changchang Liu, That's a great question.. I've never seen one, but if they fire polished a Solasfera, I'd expect the diamond to look like an intense, colorful, brilliant, super ball of fire!
Can you fire polish moissanite?
Hey Lyrah, that's a good question. I believe that it can be done (my assumption), but my understanding is that the company is not currently fire polishing moissanite's because the expenses involved on fire polishing them outweigh the slimmer moissanite profits.
Yes your correct.. They exhibit that unique rainbow effect
WHICH Moissanite brand is this pictured??? Some are better than others.
That's a good question.. I honestly can't recall which brand we used in the example. I'll take note of it in future video's however..
If a diamond has excellent polish can it lose it’s excellent polish over time?
That's a good question. It can, however it won't happen naturally. Usually something hard would have to scratch the surface of the diamond for it's polish level to be downgraded. For instance if I scraped the diamond back and fourth against concrete, it's polish grade should decrease if we sent that diamond back to the lab to get recertified.
That's a major difference. If the one of the right was moissanite, that'd make me consider.
BreanneGates moissanite have more fire than diamond. i see clearly the difference in this vid. Moissanite is to perfect with its color reflections thus fake
@@jdm724 Moissanites aren't fake they're diamond alternatives. Cubic Zirconias were created to resemble diamonds, which makes them replicas.
BreanneGates so you would rather have a moissanite over a diamond? The one on the right is the fire polished diamond and the one on the left is the moissanite.
If the one on the right is fire polish diamond then no thanks. It looks like a disco ball on steroids. Usually people would know a moissanite by its disco ball characteristic that makes it stands out from a diamond. I wouldn’t buy a diamond so it can look like a moissanite. If the one on the left is a moissanite...wow! Gotta know which brand it is. It looks like a typical triple x diamond out there.
Yes, Moissanites often pass as diamonds "to the human eye test". It's not uncommon for someone to propose with a Moissanite while portraying it to be a diamond : / Unfortunately I can't recall which moissanite brand we used for this video. It might have been Charles and Colvard or something like that..
