Passo Tonale is the most famous place in Pontedilegno - Tonale ski area. Formerly known as the Adamello ski area, Pontedilegno-Tonale is Lombardy, Italy's largest continuous ski area. The ski resort has terrain ranging from deep in the valley forests at Temu to the tree-line area at Passo del Tonale and then another 1,120m vertical further up onto the Presena glacier at 3,000m elevation. Between the Trentino and Lombardy regions, 100km of connected slopes and 28 lifts connect the villages of Passo Tonale, Ponte di Legno and Temu. We believe that Passo Tonale is perfect for beginners. We discovered new attractions in Passo Tonale and brilliant developments in construction in Pontedilegno which we will share with you in this review.
This video will show you recommended ski runs and the essential things you need to know before booking a vacation at Passo Tonale.
In addition, we will share some great tips that will help you make better decisions, save time and money and have an all and all more enjoyable vacation.
The Pontedilegno-Tonale ski resort consists of three major village areas: Passo Tonale, aka Passo del Tonale, Ponte di Legno & Temù.
The highest village in the resort is Passo Tonale, at an elevation of 1,883m.
The statue in the middle of the village marks the Lombardy-Trentino border and the Italian-Austrian border before WW1.
Tonale mountain pass is between Val di sole and Val Camonica.
The ski resort started after a gas station owner opened a small t-bar lift.
Since then, the village of Passo Tonale has grown as a dedicated ski resort.
    Because of that,
A wide range of accommodation options is located close to the ski lifts, with several offering ski-in and ski-out convenience. Tonale village provides direct access to the best alpine terrain. It is, however, exposed to winds.
Next, down from Passo Tonale to the west, in the Val Camonica, lies the town of Ponte di Legno. Translated to "Wooden Bridge", Ponte di Legno is in the centre of the ski resort and has an elevation of 1,256m. It has a beautiful old city centre with an iconic wooden bridge (as the name implies)! The ski lifts are a short walk or bus ride from the heart of town, from where you can access the gondola to the Passo Tonale village level and the chairlift to the lake area of Ponte Di Legno.
    SKI AREA OVERVIEW
Pontedilegno-Tonale heights spread from 1121m to 3000m with 24km of blue slopes, 61km of red slopes and 15 kilometres of black slopes. The average annual snowfall in Passo Tonale is 208cm.
The resort has 4 interconnected sectors (Presena Glacier, Tonale Pass, Ponte di Legno & Temu), each with its own character, strengths & weaknesses. The ski resort extends from the deep valley to the Presena glacier.
In Tonale Pass, most runs and lifts are north of the village, facing south. The runs in the middle of the ski area are relatively short. You can find long runs and more options of lifts transporting you to higher altitudes on the south-facing side's peripheral. Most of the red runs in this area are very easy. On the west and south side of the village, you will find the Paradiso gondola that will transport you to the second area, the Presena Glacier. This area was used as a summer training camp for the Italian national ski team.
    Beginners and intermediates, listen up!
The only way to ski down from the glacier is by taking the Paradiso black run or off-piste. Still, you can ride down the Paradiso Gondola. The runs from the south face and the north face, west of Passo Tonale unite to a west face scenic red run that goes to either the mid-station of Pontedilegno-Tonale gondola or continues through the woods to the Sozine lift. The Sozine lift will take you to the Ponte di Legno area, characterized by red and black runs within the trees. All of them are north-facing. The Temu area is actually an addition of 4 ski lifts further west than Pontedilegno, similar in nature but less crowded.
Passo Tonale is a beginner's paradise with many wide, easy runs on high sunny slopes. Most lifts are 4-seaters with bubbles and coupling systems, enabling safe boarding and exiting at a plodding speed in the lift station and up to 5 m/s on the lift route. Perfect for beginners!
The high number of school groups on these beginner slopes highlights the excellent infrastructure, mogels-free terrain for newbies.

@@nelbr, don't give up yet. it was a trial in order to save time and money. I wonder, it is this particular voice or the idea that it is AI?

@@SkiResortsVideo It is not the voice. It is the AI. The tone and expression is boring and ennerving for me. It is cool technology, but I prefer a million times real voice (and particularly, the narration on previous videos were fantastic).

Still the best ski resort reviewer on youtube, but please use the other voice, it was so calm and soothing, this one hurts my brain.

These videos are just the best! It's really what I'm looking for in a ski resort video with very good explanations on ski runs, length, and lifts. Also, thanks for explaining resorts connections.

€258 is not an "extremely low" price for a adult 6 day ski pass, that's about the average you'd expect for most decent French/Italian resorts

Please re-upload this video with proper narration. The AI generated female voice may be a hit on tiktok for 10 seconds at a time but know your audience. We are not 15 year olds with 30 second attention spans, we're watching this video because we genuinely have an interest in what this resort has to offer. If you want female narration, I'm sure it's not to onerous to find someone with a nice Emily Blunt-esque RP accent that'll read off a sheet for you.
