    When we understand why certain style be in that way, no one dares to mock or degrading other system, some practitioner still do like breaking boards, kicking block of cement not because just to show-off or how powerful the moves are but simply understanding the limitation is being define differently by each person, none can
    be perfect in everything coz of the limitation, but if we accept it and seek how to manipulate it, we will discover higher knowledge and that is perfection..

    Smashing bricks obviously isn't used as a form of self defence, it's meant to demonstrate the power that is produced in these moves and is also used to harden up your skin so you don't feel pain when you strike someone. To be honest i wouldn't have thought people would genuinely think that this is what martial art practitioners actually do in real life situations.

    It's not about strength and weakness. It's about proper technique and of course mass/body-weight. Those who couldn't break the whole stack either didn't place their bodies properly or didn't follow through the whole stack. They are leaning off to one side. that only puts the power of their arms into the equation and the acceleration by the jump. Their body-weight is not coming into the equation which is the key to breaking stuff.

    This is what you call American martial art propaganda sure some nice breakers but most lack pure mind concentration, a good break goes right down center that's how u know a good break from a bad break, and also you can see which way their energy is actually flowing by following the crack, a lot harder than it looks, they rely too much on their body weight

  • @anonchuckles9525
    @anonchuckles9525 Před 10 lety +5

    Let me explain why this doesn't hurt if you do it right, and hurts ALOT if you do it wrong. First, let me point out there are spacers between the blocks. This is so you can break one board/cement block at a time during your strike, instead of all of them at once. Second, they have probably spent hours toughening their skin and deadening the acute pain receptors in their body (making minor potentially damaging stimuli to their nociceptors less noticable) while learning techniques that can be applied to an activity such as breaking multiple cinderblocks, and then honing them to be extremely strong.
