Also, much of the theories used by modern atheists to prove god doesn’t exist, like the Theory of the Big Bang, was first theorized by a Christian or Deist(in the case of the Big Bang theory, a Catholic). So is it factually disproven or assumed to be not true because we have no evidence for or against it?
Do you have proof? How did you arrive at this opinion? {Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.} Qur'an At-tur (The Mount) 35.
@@glorious8429 the religious people are claiming that god exists. atheists just refute that claim by saying there is no proof. if you are making a claim you need to provide proof.
@@idorus Atheists do not have proof that a Creator doesn't exist. They rely on science to try to prove everything regardless whether it's physical or metaphysical.
@@glorious8429 who's to say that the skies and earth were created? That's just another religious concept. Things more than likely formed because of the right conditions being present. Even the concept of something being "created from nothing" is nonsensical. There's a thing called energy, which is something. Thts all it takes for an event to take place. Religious people are also the only ones who say something can't come from nothing, yet they have a god(s) tht come from nothing. If something truly couldn't come from nothing, tht would mean something had to create your god(s)
Is this guy a professional comedian? If yes, then I believe in God.
He helped write and produce Chappelle’s show
@@mcmensah Amen then. I've seen worse making a comedy show so this shouldn´t surprise me.

I've met several who believe in bs Zodiac signs....

Faith is all about hope.
For most people, that means "I sure hope that there is a better place we go to after this one".
Atheists simply hope that there is an end to this shit at some point.
Not so. As an atheist, I see it more as having low expectations. Happy to be wrong sorta thing.
If anyone is hoping for death it's those who have high expectations for the next life.
No. faith is not hope. They don't oppose gay marriage and abortion only on the HOPE there is an afterlife. Muslims don't stone apostate only in the HOPE there is a god. They are dead sure there is.
Atheism is simply saying "I don't believe you". And even if is about hope is simply the realisation that that particular hope is ffucking childish
Wrong and wrong. Faith is not just about hope, it's also about lack of evidence or even evidence to the contrary, and it's not about abstract improvement, but an entite belief system. You can have a lot of hope without faith.
Also, being an atheist says nothing about whether you'd want an afterlife or not. It just indicates you don't believe gods are real.
no.
but remember its all nothing, started from nothing ends to nothing. so what is hope for, nothing. "the magical nothing"
If only religion offered an afterlife.
This makes a lot of sense 👀🤦🏾♂️😩
But, how???
I'm sure the Bible that makes zero makes even more sense to you then.
This guy doesn't remind me of Jeff Goldblum at all. Said no one.
Just you buddy
The "vision board" thing is weird. I guess I don't talk to the same atheists he does.
Being agnostic means you don't think there's a God.
Being an atheist means you don't believe there's a God.
You can be both.
Incorrect agnostic mean you admit to not know if there is a god. Atheist is the dismissal of the claim there is a god. Agnosticism is a tenet of Atheism
I try to believe only things I have evidence for.
Mixed anti-theist here. Religion and the belief in make-believe is for the intellectually weak among us.
We're just not ignorant enough to believe in stupid ass fairy tales. If I want entertainment I'll watch a marvel movie.
Why should you put faith into a man that fabricated his own proof of existence
I'm an atheist too, but I wouldn't go that far. Religion is annoying and you meet lot of dumb Christians especially in the US, but to say that being religious makes you an idiot is to write off Leo Tolstoy, Emily Bronte and Andrei Tarkovsky as morons and I just can't. Andrei Rublev is just too damn good a movie.
@@jackrussell1232 Thank you for this🙏
I grew up in the church and had to leave later on, largely due to the hypocrisy, but still have a very strong belief in God. I've met so many good people on both sides. We only have our own experience so there's not much use in judging anyone else for having different beliefs..
@@jackrussell1232 Believing in religion is dumb, but smart people do dumb things all the time. That is why we need to stop with the single-issue judging of people we disagree with.
I mean if you want to believe that the biblical narratives carry the same significance as a fairy tale, that's okay, but even someone who believes they're ahistorical should be able to recognize they're deeply profound when it comes to what they have to say about the human person. Fairy tales don't hold up to that. People aren't interested in them because they're entertaining.
Hardly a priviledge .
he is exactly right because we have a hope for better days in the afterlife. but also it would make no sense to us for the soul to completely cease to exist because we are a soulful people.
I’m an atheist but, I’d honestly prefer my soul just stops existing. Living forever, even if it’s in paradise, gets old. It’s like a never ending summer vacation.
@@tacoenjoyer8623 And what could be wrong with that?
@@travelingjohn69 When you think deeply about it, you realise. Spending infinity in a place, no matter how good, will get boring eventually. Eventually you’ll have done absolutely everything, and your mind will rot away. Or, at least, you’ll it would.

Its really the opposite. Most people that don't believe in religion are nice and down to earth

Atheist: Sure, can I get a preview?
Believer: No.
Atheist: Can you show me that it even exists?
Believer: Also no.

Neither know nor care what a vision board is, and his take on why atheists are atheists isn't even funny. It's just stupid. Maybe it's because I'm old. Maybe it's because his delivery is lame. I don't know. Whatever it is, I don't understand why anybody laughed.

An atheist is not somebody that believes in heaven and doesn't want to go an atheist is somebody that doesn't believe in heaven.
A lot of smug atheists in the comments 😂

What about communist China? Where they not atheists? This is just a dumb take, but that’s what makes it funny.

A vision board is a thing you mention when you don't have a rational argument against atheism.
The fact that you would need an argument against atheism is why I am not an atheist.
I don't believe in religion, and atheism is a religion. Greek Mythology was polytheism (multiple gods), Christianity is monotheism (one god), and Atheism is atheism (no god). All are faith based religions just with different number of gods and no actual evidence.
@@derekthehalfabee7942 atheism isn’t a religion whatsoever, it’s the opposite. It’s the lack of religion. It’s not faith-based, it rejects faith.
Religion: the belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God or gods.
Atheism: disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.
So obviously, according to their definitions, atheism isn’t a religion. It’s sad that I even had to explain something so basic.
