It looks much better for us to call these people out but still stay on our own moral ground which gives more weight to our calling out/what we're saying than if we'd rash out and go low ourselves.

This is why real victims are afraid to step forward, the people who lie about these things makes everyone look like a liar. you're right, such actions are flagged and are not allowed, but there are some ways to jailbreak / bypass it, and some people unfortunately use it to generate dumb shit like that.

It wasn't that hard. It took me two attempts. Chatgpt definitely has to put a better "alarm" system of some kind when something seems off.
It's people like this who have created suspicion towards the people who actually come out and have the courage to say the truth.
These people have made the actual victims lose their credibility. Shelby for example, is now constantly getting accusations of lies and online threats by others.
Literally this. What infuriates me the most is that untrustworthy allegations immediately get people flagged as liars (even though it may not actually be wrong), but even when an accusiation is credible most people go "well it seems credible but they are probably just a very good liar".

People who lie like that deserve jail time. They make people who were actually abused look like a joke and it ruins innocent peoples lives. I’m glad they actually came out with it being fake before it could cause actual damage
I was watching the stream when Tubbo first looked at the accusations and you can tell that he handled it fairly maturely.
Instead of brushing them off (even though he knew they were fake), he took the topic seriously (as it should be) and went through them the second he found out about them.
His mods immediately put a trigger warning in chat to keep the chatters safe.
Tubbo then disarmed the allegations with logic despite visibly being in emotional distress and really, anyone who was watching should have been able to tell nothing about the story makes any sense.
And then, instead of stopping the stream, he took a little time for himself (which he deserved after that shock, it hurts to be accused of something vile even if you didn't do it) and continued the Tubbathon like a trooper.
That behavior, in my eyes, was very admirable and showed that Tubbo, as a streamer is more mature than people might think - and that he genuinely cares about the subject in question.
There are so many content creators that try to laugh allegations off as if they were some kind of joke... but Tubbo didn't, he immediately confronted them head-on.
To now hear that the person who fabricated these allegations admitted that they were completely fake doesn't come as a surprise.
What does surprise me is the fact that they have the guts to try to justify potentially ruining someone's life by saying it was a "social experiment".
It's a positive terminology that is supposed to mask malicious intentions and a need for attention.
All of that being said, I want to remind you to not go after this person - they maybe be a... not good human being to put it mildly, but they're still a human being.
So be better than them and don't spread hate against them, but rather spread the word that Tubbo is innocent and support real victims that actually need it.

Having been falsely accused of sexual h*rassment on social media myself this really angers me. It’s a terrible feeling and it really fucks you up. I hope this won’t escalate for Tubbo
People should be locked up for false allegations. Faced some myself two years back, and it destroyed my reputation amongst my peers and even teachers (I was eighteen and finishing high school) I was proven innocent , and the person who made the allegations was soon arrested separately all together for her own sexual assault. But my life took a long time to return to normal. The lasting trauma and fear still exists with me. Men are no longer safe in society, and the phrase “victims should be believed always” is no longer a safe way of thinking, as fake clout chasers and attention seekers continue to diminish and undermine REAL victims that deserve support.

There's a quote that goes something along the lines of 'they write the scandal on the front page and the correction in the author's notes.' There's always going to be people who believe the allegation despite the fact the accuser came out and called it a 'social experiment' because some people just aren't going to see that explanation. Also, you don't need to prove to anyone that it's easy to make up a fake story, half the internet already believes these stories are fake anyway.

First of all, Lawsuit needs to be filed. Second of all, essay time. After watching this I've got the confidence to say something, *Real quickly, this is my opinion and if you do not agree with it that is fine, frankly I dont care in the long run nor do I condone what this person did to tubbo.* Messing with someone's life like this is fucking vial and completely messed up. But I agree with their message, and I dont mean what they wrote. *I agree with solely and specifically the intent behind it.* They were showing how things like this can go viral too easily, including when it may not even be true, which can ruin someones life with false statements. *And I'm by no means saying abuse isn't bad, It's a horrible thing.* But in certain cases there are way way worse instances of it. Such as: regular beating, intense psychological abuse, physical abuse, regular sexual assault, intentional groping, nonconsensual sexual relations, and various other things. These fake allegations also being a more serious instance if they were factual, which thankfully they're not. *The fact some forms of this are worse than others doesn't mean I condone any kind of it.* Regardless, what this person did which could've ruined tubbo's career is disgusting and honestly I think tubbo should sue this person. However *I do agree with this person saying that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. (One of the lower down messages from this person in the update part)* Which was barely touched on in this stream. I'm not saying anything negative about tubbo, he's a great guy. I do disagree with how exactly the person put their intended message out. However unfortunately, sometimes the best way to get a message out is the worst way morally, that does not mean I agree with doing it. Agreed here! Even before reading this comment I was like 'I get the intent, but the execution of action was fucking vile and repulsive.' Still, showing the world how easily lies are spread could've been done in so many other ways, ways which are VALID and hold no consequences. But to accuse a young, innocent streamer of abuse and letting these allegations just lie there with no further explanation is absolutely horrible.

Regardless I can see why you may have thought I meant that in a trauma comparing way. To be honest I never really finished my thoughts on that since I got carried away by something else, So I'll add what I forgot to mention. *Most people have problems of some kind, some have trauma. Just because it may not be as dangerous or depressing or a situation as someone else's doesn't mean it effects you any less. Some forms of it just have a worse physical outcome, and sure the mental damage may not always be as bad, but most of the times it's bad. So I apologize I came off that way.* Anyways, the main point of what I wrote wasn't actually about that. It was about my thoughts on what this person did, and the intent behind it. That was the main point of this comment, and I know I myself haven't truly had any experiences like that despite having issues myself, but I've heard friends that have and I've seen what it's done to them. I feel anybody who’s watched his content for a least a few months would know he doesn’t have an “official” drivers license.
