Jersey boy here! We do have incredible tomatoes in NJ. So tasty! Never heard of TX tomatoes being as good but I trust you gents! Awesome video. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Christopher!
Have to find me some heirloom tomatoes. Go raid a friend's garden . This is an easy dish, but looks delicious. Thanks guys.
Look how beautiful those heirloom tomatoes are. You almost just want to look at them and not eat them.
You know before COVID I hated Vegetables. During COVID we subscribed to Hello Fresh and started cooking our own food. I know love so many different Vegetables it is crazy. For over 35 years I was a burger and fries guy. Now I eat almost anything I can get my hands on. I never thought I would like raw tomatoes until recently and this looks Devine.
That is awesome! Well, there is a silver lining in that terrible Covid!!
I'm going to the Farmers Market here in KC, MO this weekend, and this starts my shopping list!!
Enjoy, Gavin!!!! Happy Summer!!!
Nothing like a home grown tomato! NJ has great tommies. Delish!
They absolutely do!! Some of the best in the world!
Looks amazing 😍
you guys are fabbbbb
Thank you so so so much!!! Kris & Wesley
Looks so delicious guys! Tomatoes are my favorite food in the world. All my friends know I order all sammies with extra tomatoes. As a child we had tomato salad with every meal in the summer, but it was just S & P vinegar and oil. And it was delicious! Can't wait to try your version!!! We live in Pa and I've been having "hot house" local tomato and mayo sammies with 2 thin slices of Pa dutch lebanon bologna for lunch every day. You have to try it if you can get a hold of some. The lebanon bologna flavor goes so well with the tomatoes! I CAN'T WAIT for local home grown tomatoes to come in. Thanks for another wonderful video!
I live in Pa too. Love Lebanon Bologna , have it on a sandwich with Heinz ketchup, but will try it with tomatoes. Can't wait for tomatoes to come in here. Tomatoes sandwich on toast with mayo .
@@conniemccollam2605 Nominally vegan over here in Toronto grow arugula sprouts and make ...... vr occasionally chicken liver pate I am a barbarian layer it with really thinly sliced red onion on sourdough ..... reminds me of my Dad. RIP amazing guy.
Oh my Grannies !!! I have FRESH TOMATOES from my daughters garden. I will be slicing some up tomorrow. I LOVE FRESH TOMATOES 🍅 😋 I'm doing the Basalmic chicken recipe and I think the tomatoes will be very good with it. THANKS GUYS. 💕 😊
Absolutely beautiful tomato 🍅! Gonna try this. Love ya
Thank you so much!!! Sending lots of love back at ya!!
A beautiful summer salad...Love it!
Thanks, Dede!
Awesome!!! love you guys .... I made Irish soda bread .... because I could but sourdough ok too had so many from my garden ... did a pasta and shrimp threw some in just experimenting someone had a barbecue I am ALSO a huge fan of really good balsamic vinegar because it enhances natural sweetness; used scallions wasn't complicated kudos! (a good olive oil not too much or gave some to a friend who went greek and mixed it up with feta cheese and greens this stuff from the garden ... brilliant!!!!
Looks delicious!!!!
Thank you so much, Judy!
Absolutely beautiful guys!! Now that is spectacular. Could just taste the balsamic vinegar with the toms. Stay strong Loons!
Thank you so much as always! You are so wonderful, Rob! You stay strong, too!
I grew up half the year on a large farm in southwestern Pennsylvania, quarter of the year in England with my mum, and the rest of the year with relatives who lived not far outside Oslo, Norway. In each place we grew amazing tomatoes especially in the rich soil of Appalachian Pennsylvania where my grandpap’s farm was located. In Norway the tomatoes were not as large sometimes as our Pennsylvania grown but they were deeply sweet and rich due to the short but intense growing season. Of course in England everybody has flower and vegetable gardens. If you’ve only got two square inches of earth you grow nine types of flowers and enough vegetables to feed the population of New York City. 🤣 I live in North Texas now probably not far from where you guys live by the description of your weather so I have not the energy or ambition to try growing anything much except Basil, Mint, Sage, Oregano. Herbs grow well in this heat and blasting western sun. I most miss……well, no, I most miss all three of the places I lived and grew up in. Miss them equally. I am a genetically tending northern human. The deep cold of Norway, the deep snow Winters of Pennsylvania suit me, as well as those screwy British winters. I wilt in the heat even though I use not to bothered by it at all. I am a combat veteran of eight years with the Royal Marines and a wounded combat veteran of twelve years with Norway’s Jaegerkommandoen (Norway’s version of the Navy Seals). Now at 68 I am much diminished from my physical prime but hearty enough. Like you guys I am obsessed with great tomatoes. Hard for me to find here in McKinney, Texas. Even the farmer’s market here usually only have nubbins size heat tolerant varieties on sale that have little taste. I am contemplating moving back to Oslo where I still have a small home I don’t go to very often. If I move it will be to escape insane Texas politics (sorry for bringing up politics) but mainly for the people and the tomatoes and strawberries that taste like sweet drops of Angel tears. 😆 I am subscribed to your channel and tell my friends to tune in as well. By the way, Dean Martin (real name was Dino Crocetti) was my cousin and I have his great grandma’s recipe for 11 hour simmered Bolognese sauce with homemade pasta that I make and eat once a month or more. If you guys would ever like this recipe I am happy to get it to you somehow. That sauce with homemade noodles will make you weep with comestible joy. Great channel. Love and happiness to you you both. Sorry for typos or auto corrects. I type fast and inaccurately. I will keep tuning in for your recipes and your joy filled personalities: Something sorely lacking in an America turning increasingly toward intolerance and meanness. Your recipes have all been reliably excellent.
That all is so wonderful and thank you SO MUCH for sharing. You have had quite the incredible life and that is really something amazing. We hear you about Texas. We would LOVE to see Dean's (Dino's) great grandma's recipes! We sometimes so guest recipes so who knows! We'll certainly contact you before we do anything like that. If you like, you can email it to: info@howtofeedaloon.com. Thanks again so much for your support and kind words. That truly means the world to us! Stay safe and cool and stay in touch! All the best, Kris & Wesley
