In this episode we went to authentic Saldanha Bakery in Kolkata.
It is a very old bakery near Esplanade area since 1930. It is probably th best bakery in Kolkata. The savouries which we had include, Walnut Cake, Lemon Drop, Coconut Macaroons, Cream Roll, lemon Tart, Apple Tart, Chicken Patties, Chicken Envelope, Cheese Puff etc
It is the best place in Kolkata and definitely among the things to do in Kolkata. This is a 91 years old bakery.

I have never heard of this Saldana bakery before. Thanks for sharing 😊👍. When I lived in Kolkata and grew up there, as a little girl would go and buy baked items from Nahun only. Next time I visit Kolkata I will definitely try this place.

Even in every occasion of our diocese (St. John's Church, Kolkata) we do take their foods ...you can try rich fruit cake which is much better than any bakery.

If you tuck into the rich fruit cake of Saldanha...then you never ever want to stand in a queue for your favourite Christmas cakes in Yuletide at any cake shop...that I can rest assure you...

Pricing of the items is really reasonable. The price of Coconut Macaroons is much higher in Glenarys. I would really hope to try Saldanhas.

My all time favourite bakery, rather my familes, (both sides). Ey bakery ta amar baper bari aar in laws er barir parar bakery. Amader shob family members der birthday cakes as well as any other savouries akhan theke order kori.
Must try their truffle cake, apple pie, chicken quiche rather all the items.
During Easter try out their buns and marzipan Easter eggs, assorted chocolates. Guys its amazing
