I used to watch this with my grandparents and they’d show me all the music they’d listen to and how they would cruise through the east side as teens. Miss those times w them
MyChemAddict100 same here I used watch it every night when the infomercial came on, my mom used to have 8 tracks and I think still has cassette tapes with these songs on them. I knew how to work an 8 track player at the age of 6 in the 80's, I used to listen to the 8 tracks until they got so worn out they sounded distorted and one song that used I used to be my favourite on the 8 track that was a song called my boyfriends back.
I love this man music like this will never be made anymore but since I watch this I get to hear what real music is i'm planning on becoming a music producer and i'll make sure I bring back this style of music back it needs to come back
@@dantehodges1035 That's good, I remember hearing this music in the 80's growing up. The host Bowser is pretty cool too along with the co host too. They used to have it on the radio this type of music, my Mom used to listen to a station called 1050 chum and they played these songs and many others from the 50's and 60's songs.
@@Eurodance90schick we need that kinda music back because the music their making and releasing now a days is just straight trash and the classics have staying power and not to mention that the music isn't about anything to do with drugs or demeaning women
I'm 40. My parents are gone. I listened to these songs with them. I watched this infomercial so many times growing up and always wanted my parents to buy it for me. "We can listen to it together." But they never would. Thank goodness for streaming music so we can all listen to these songs and spend time with our parents again. ❤️ ❤❤
I've been lucky enough to see Chuck Berry at Blueberry Hill in St Louis and Jerry Lee Lewis in Memphis. I called my parents both times so they could hear them live too.
I remember first seeing this commercial about 2010 on cable and wanted it but I didn't get it but during the summer I showed my Grandpa the commercial and he ordered it for himself and he still has it till this day. Can't beat those Oldies But Goodies
This is a infomercial for the Ultimate Oldies But Goodies Collection from Time Life Music; it's hosted by actor/singer Jon "Bowzer" Bauman (from Sha Na Na) & Julie Lancaster.
I literally watched this every day after middle school. It expanded my love for oldies. There's nothing more nostalgic to me than this commercial. My first crush, Paul Anka, thanks to this commercial 😁
Just want to say thanks for uploading this video. I remember watching it and quickly writing down the songs as They scrolled by. This commercial opened up my musical taste as a young teen. And i credit this commercial to my musical taste today
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you uploading this. I even emailed time life and offered to purchase a copy of this infomercial and they said they didn't have the rights to it anymore. I've been waiting forever to finally watch it again. Truly, thank you.
I’m 23 now but I remember always watching this commercial on cable. Man I wish I could’ve been a teen in the early 60’s. Then again it’s not always all fun as it seems. There was Vietnam. I’ve already been to the Middle East but nothing compared to Vietnam.
I could’ve sworn that Tommy Edwards’ song “It’s All In the Game” was in this video. Can anyone please tell me in the comments where that song is located at?
Ricky Nelson died in a plane crash on 12/31/1985. He did most of his work in the early 1960’s but he had a couple of songs in the late 50’s so I’ll count him. Tab Hunter of “Young Love” fame died in 2018.
