Okay, but I kinda used to have a crush on Asami... but, more seriously, I agree with what you said about the whole queen's death thing. I think that they should have made the aftermath of the queen's death more about different factions competing for the throne instead of just complete anarchy.
My personal childhood crush was always Jet but hey Asami is a very respectable choice as well! And I really like your idea! That would be a really intersting season. I think they tried to deal with the whole power vacuum idea in s4 with Kuvira but it wasn't handled very well imo.
@@Skyush I also didn't like how the villain of this series was treated. I'm not advocating for total anarchy, but the earth queen was a BAD PERSON. She imprisoned her own people, and would have forced them to fight for her. The newer, less cool, team avatar clearly didn't like her, and did nothing about it. I think that in that whole episode, they tried to replicate lake laogai, but failed. Sorry for this being so long, I don't even hate The Legend of Korra, but it's just the ba sing se stuff that really annoyed me. Sorry for typing a paragraph, I have really strong opinions on a kids' show that came out more than a decade ago.
I agree that Korra is not nearly as good as Avatar (borders on bad imo but that's me), and I also disliked the Equalists arc and thought the team had a really weird reaction to it. But I'm ngl, it was not because it "forced the audience to take a conservative position" lmao. Media is so much more enjoyable when we don't feel compelled to view it entirely through a political lens. It's still a relevant factor, don't get me wrong, but I think there are so many other, better reasons why an arc/show can be bad. (Personally, I felt like the show often treated Korra like a better person than she acted - but I was turned off early when she tried to steal someone's boyfriend with ZERO hesitation or remorse, so bias lol). The number of times a piece of media has supported my own view and still been completely unenjoyable is disappointingly high.
Korra wasn't bad, not by a lonng shot, but it never spoke to me like avatar did, it never digged deep into my soul. I don't think it shouldn't exist, but i wish it was more.
Avatar is a story about history, the fire nation isn't one oppressive regime but all of them and their ideals. Korra is just a story, the equailists are just the equalists.
Korra isn't bad but it's no masterpiece. Maybe that's okay, but one can't be blamed for expecting more from what promised to be the sequel of something more
I totally agree. Avatar just has infinitely more depth because it dodent cofine itself to being about 1 thing every season. Korra would probably just be a show some people like and some not but nobody felt about so strongly about if it wasn't in the world of Avatar. Thank you for your comment! :)

I agree its the best season, Zaheer is an awesome villan and the Red Lotus are all terrifying, but stay tuned cause I do have a bunch of critiques of that season too!!

It's amazing how I watched the last airbender from start to finish, well 6 times now and I still want to watch it more when someone talks about it. To be fully honest season 1 was the saddest for me and really put me to tears most of the time, so I mostly like the final season where everyone has hope and will not go silently into the history books of the fire nation, like they would rather die in prison than not fight a losing battle of invading a super power even for just an 8min window of ending the war.
Am not jewish but I feel the hopelessness sometimes. and I wish I had kettara to give one of those sappy speeches' about hope to go on.
Beautifully said. I think stories are so helpful in keeping us hopeful and Avatar has definitely done that for me too. My wish is that one day we wont need to look to stories for hope, we will be able to provide it for ourselves. Take care of yourself in these hard times💞
