She wasn’t good at piano, so Beethoven wrote her a simple song that even she could play (Für Elise,) but after Beethoven found out she was getting married, he was heartbroken, so he made the rest of the song so hard she’d never be able to play it in its entirety 💀
And he named it Für Elise so no English speaking person would ever pronounce it correctly 😂 Edit bc I keep getting answers to this that take this way too seriously: I am, in fact, not trying to make a statement of what I believe to be fact, bc it obviously isn't. It's just a stupid joke. That’s why it gets angsty at some point in the middle of Für Elise.
