  • (December 2023) I stumbled across this rather interesting Inclinator residential style elevator in St. Louis. This is the first time I've seen an Inclinator like this, and I thought it was really cool. It was installed in 1998 and has those cheap common style buttons like you'd find on those grocery store coffee machines. It also has an old preheat fluorescent light that Andrew would absolutely love.

Thanks for posting the ride. Use caution with these older units. They must have a State of Missouri Variance to remain in operation in Commercial applications. They have resolved the Door Gap, But there are a few other issues that need attention. If you know the owner, let them know it needs some safety work to meet Code. These were never designed for Public use. This must be in a Church?

That's because they are typically installed in... well.. homes. Occasionally you see them outside of homes.

Inclinator elevator scissor gate no floor indicator

  • @bobbyshanddryersliftsandes9731

This is one of the cheapest lifts/elevators I have ever seen. They haven’t even put a full height gate on it. It’s also slow but it is a platform lift but it is also bouncy. And grocery store coffee machine buttons plus no proper call buttons? CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. But still, a lot of platform lifts in the US have no proper call buttons just up and down on the outside, but still, it’s cheap.

This is meant to be a residential style lift, so the fixtures don't have to be super durable. I don't think this thing gets used all that much.

@@stlelevators I know, it is dangerous with the gate though
