- As a ranger for TheDyrt I have the opportunity to test products and provide reviews. This review is my honest opinion and I have not been compensated anything beyond the product sample. My husband and I are full time travelers and spend much of our time outdoors, we primarily use walkie talkies for short range transmissions when operating our motorhome. This includes site setup and RV maintenance. Ever since we were growing up our families have always packed a set of walkie talkies for family adventures.

Great review! We love our Midland Radios! We are new friends here (found you on IG). We look forward to following your journey! Happy Trails! -Jody & Chris
Awesome to hear! Love having new friends!
Love the videos. A lot good information. Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching Lorie!
Great job on the review!
Thank you! Cheers!
one mile in town or line of site only
Glad to see you do a real range test. Just curious if you use any other two way radio communications during your travels?
Hello, thank you for watching. We have used Midland in the past, these were considered an upgrade to the older models we were using.
Awesome review and demonstration of the T51VP4! Have you also tried the T61VP3? We are trying to decide between the two.
Thank you for watching, we have not tried the T61VP3 yet - we are Dyrt members that received our talkies for testing/review.
They should have included 2 charging cords for each radio. When out and about you can only charge 1 radio if the base is not an option. For instance when you are walking and need to charge via portable charging bank
We have found the single adequate, but two ports on one cord would definitely be an improvement.
28 miles is G M R S with license only
Privacy codes are not private. All they do is prevent you from hearing others on the same channel but they can hear you just fine. It kind of gives you a false sense of security. If the others on the same channel choose to figure it out, they can input the same privacy codes you are using and then you will hear them. So don’t think a radio transmission on these are really private.
Thanks for clarifying that for us. Good info!
no thay are
Get Licensed 🔥🔥 Amateur Radio
Good idea, we just don't use them often enough. Primarily for communication when we're setting up camp.
Why there's no requirement to be licensed?
you need a license for that
when you get a G M R S license there is NO teat to take you pay 35.00 dollars
the hole family is covered for 10 years
there is a test with ham radio G M R S NO test and 35.00 dollars
U get wat u pay for.. 🤷
We like these, they've been good radios for us :)
@@Findingourspot cool I have the same ones..
that is I went with rugged radio the water dust pruff and there used in all you
off road toys and there no stuped buttons on my radio
Avoid Midland like plague.
I am so incredibly sick and tired of corporations either being stupid and simply not caring about customers or deliberately ripping customers off in the hope that they keep something instead of taking it back.
I purchased this set this evening and get extra batteries for times we wouldn’t be able to recharge the battery pack.
The package clearly has FRS AND GMRS and AA Batteries. I open the package and it’s just FRS and uses it’s little rechargeable battery pack and AAA Batteries.
How did they get BOTH pieces of information incorrect? This is ridiculous.
Lesson learned about Midland! When I purchase GMRS it will be Kenwood or Motorola. If Midland can’t get this right, why trust them?
or you can go with rugged radio thay are made for the outdoor group
thay don't give false info and thay have real tec seport on a phone call
