    This is actually very good. My friend had a seizure after I watched this days before. It was in the school field during Lunch. Everyone thought she was spazing out like a creepy robot. I was the only one who knew what to do. After she woke up, she saw me, I was a hero. Then everyone was nice to me. This IA a very good video. Thank you! 💙

  • @ursuss100
    @ursuss100 Před 4 lety +11

    During one of my middleschool years a classmate collapsed from seizures during lessons in two separate occurrences-can confirm it is scary as hell particularly the first time when you don't know what it is... We had to quickly slide our tables away from him so that he didn't hit them during the convulsions (you can easily fracture bones like that as the shaking is often violent).
    Few years later during the bus ride back to home, a girl at the back of the bus had one too. This was more complicated as a bus is a crammed area by nature and obviously the seats are not moveable-so we just laid her inside the best we could, used some of our vests/backpacks to block her from hitting something hard, then once the bus had parked and she stopped convulsing, the driver made the emergency call and we put her on the ground until the fire dept EMTs arrived...
    As with any emergency, it is crucial to react QUICKLY. And obviously to have the victim transported to a hospital ASAP.
    Because the most severe seizure cases can be life theatening. As spectacular as it looks though, if the correct action is taken as fast as possible, in most cases a seizure-affected person can recover without much complication...

      what about, like in my dads case, they wander around like they lost their mind and its extremely obvious they don't know whats going on around them and walk into walls, actually has fallen down stairs. Keeping him in a safe area is not an option because he will physically force himself anywhere where he wants and trust me, practically no one can stop him. When he was picked up by an ambulance in this state they couldn't restrain him, and needed the police to get involved. One time we were asked if he was on anything that caused super strength. I say this because thats not an option. All i could do was constantly talk to him and keep eye out for any awareness to start to occur from any acknowledgement. This state usually lasts about 30 minutes and is so terrifying. His neurologist is lost on what this is, never heard or seen anything like it. He had a abscess and had brain surgery, the surgery had a 30% chance of survival because it was deep in the brain and if he survived, was likely to be a vegetable. Neither occurred, but over time its apparent there is brain damage based on difficulties with basic tasks at times and other times himself.

    I don't think that what he doing is very much correct to the situation, first of all , there are so many type of seizure is this. In the shown video ,it seems to be basic stage. I would like to suggest some points such as if you see a person in this situation 1. Sit with him at the spot and keep his head in your thighs 2. Any harmful materials with him or aside keep it away or throw by yourself 3.If possible ,some of seizure cases the person will hardly bight their tongue with their full force, if you have lase or some thing you can keep in between his teeth, so that we can avoid tongue injury and this will take more days to recover its actual stage and he cant eat anything for more days. 4. you can make a round with your hand in his chest without disturbing him because ,in some cases ,patient will try to run away from the spot without target, it will make more problems. 5. Don't ask ,Don't talk anything to the patient for your understating or anything else, because it will be wrong answers and you will be misguided with him, let him relax. These are the main points I would like to suggest . After 10-15 minutes if there is no other injuries,fractures, pains he will be alright automatically. Other wise you can help him to reach the hospital. Before taking advice /tablets /treatment from a new doctor, please try to contact his family and check, what his current status. A doctor can suggest EEG , MRI and basic medicines. If he is already taking a medicine for this , it will be make some issues with the existing . Kindly note all the seizure activities are not one type. It will differ from person to person. And the suggested actions has to take in seconds , no time to think more. ..and one more thing I am not a Doctor...I am social activists only . Levetiracetam ( not Tablet brand name) with an additional combination seems to be the best medicine suggested for seizures up to my observation in different peoples. The patient can keep a Diary for Seizure chart for noting their seizure activities , it will helpful to the doctor for making a decision/Suggestion easy. Try to follow these things also if possible. 1. If you are a patient try to avoid single driving 2. Avoid solo tours , Staying , 3. Keep a basic distance from fire , water , dangerous places, heavy traffics, doors at vehicles etc... 4. If possible majority of the time you keep on sitting 5. Try to forget about your disease 6. run a happy life without stress and one more thing it is completely recoverable disease. You should take the medicines on correct timings without any delay and absence. Otherwise you have to restart the cycle again. If you take seizure medicines more years , you have to face side effects like partial memory loss, Parkinsonism, constipation , loss of concentration etc.......
    Any objections ,kindly replay !!!!
    Thanks for going through ....

    • @boldbraveandkind_
      @boldbraveandkind_ Před 5 lety +5

      Jack Jerenore you tilt the head back to keep the airway open. If you tilt the head forward it will close the airway and the patient will aspirate.

    • @asottilare4233
      @asottilare4233 Před 5 lety +4

      Don’t lean the head upwards (towards the sky). Since they have no control over their movements, that also means they have no control over swallowing. Always put the head on its side and let the drool or blood seep out of their mouth. Like gravity

    The way he tilted the head back would result in a fatality. The mouth has to face down, not directly down but at an angle 45° and in a way that the vomit does not get into the nose.
