- We search and we find. Here is an amazing match between a kungfu practitioner (Long Hu Men Lao Si) and a mma practitioner (Gui Lin Ci Ke). Let's watch and see how much kungfu he incorporates into his kickboxing (probably a sanda base?). For those of you watching, let us know what kungfu techniques you see and how much kungfu training you think our Long Hu Men Lao Si has had.

You need to take a break 😥
Jerry... San Da IS Wu-shu/Kung-Fu..... San Shou/San Da was always, albeit not common now the last stage of bar hand training.
Was it an exceptional upload because you thought you found gold ?
"MMA dialed it UP on Kung Fu guy!!"
"Kung Fu Guy" proceeds to block every strike thrown.
Este Si Es Un Verdadero Luchador De Kung Fú
Finally! A good kung fu execution vs MMA fighter
Sanda is just kickboxing. Which is what the "kung fu" guy is using.
That scisor takedown was glorious
It is from Sanda, they were teaching it to me. Not my favourite technique though.
Also is one of the most well used moves in Silat Olahraga
Also scorpion in mk2
Looks cool but kind lf reckless for the other guy, you could easily snap his knee ligament. Happened to me, it sucks.
@@Thesavagesouls yea tru, thats why judo fkin banned kani basami from being used in their competitions, on the other hand I do find it odd that silat competitions encourage in using them.
As someone who has been training KF myself from a school that does full contact sparring, I can attest all those moves are things I've seen my instructors performing on each other. I think you generally find so few efficient KF artists in these competitions is because KF requires a lot more training to be effective with it, whereas with modern combat sports, everything you learn is directly involved with real application and more simple to grasp.
Fascinating
I wouldn't say that either one is more simple to master but I do agree that a beginner mma fighter vs a beginner kung fu fighter will usually result in the mma fighter winning. But man those kung fu kicks are awesome.
Welcome to lumpinee stadium🎉
Try explaining to some of these millennials that watch too many UFCs and never either did full contact or seen any real KF full contact fighters. This KF fighter held back his kicks. How do I know? I’m a KF as well but can do all these kicks. A jumping hook kick can literally break your spine or put you in a coma. Seen a real KF tournament where two paramedics kept rolling out stretchers from people getting TKO from hook kicks and sidekicks. Look carefully how he retract his hook kick. If he followed through, that MMA guy just blocking will end up in a hospital. Getting hit with a jumping hook kick at full force can seriously cause brain hemorrhage.

It's because people love to follow what everybody else does, like sheep instead of coming up with their own conclusions,
Yea I was told northern/southern Shaolin and wing Chun as a sub-style, including hung gar animal styles were all a load of bolony,
But instead I took the time to learn those martial arts and found out they're very practical, and the movies are a poor representation of these arts,
Even the way modern kung fu is practiced is wrong, you can't just do the movements and that's it, you have to learn to apply them on a person, and with pressure testing, most kung gu is grappling within the context of kicks and punches,
Sounds alot like MMA if you ask me but because our modern generation is apparently too high and mighty to consider that certain concepts they once believed to be inneffective are actually very effective if you put in the time and work
so freaking cool! that drunken kungfu bit was dope
This is probably the most competitive I have ever seen kung fu look against MMA. Major respect for that guy for clearly training his style the right way against live resistance and different styles.
Where is MMA here? More like Kung Fu vs Kick Boxing.
there was not even ground movements this is not mma
Sanda with some movie-like KF moves. This guy totally understands distance control, head movement, levels, etc... something that actual KF probably has, but is lost with those self-proclaimed KF experts that just stand there thinking their static defense stance in impenetrable.
On the contrary, it's not lost, just difficult to find- this guy is living proof
When kung fu is done correctly, it tends to just look like kickboxing (or sanda) with various "bag of tricks" elements, which is precisely what we see here- can't wait to see more, this fighter is an exciting find!
Sanda is came from kungfu
@medx1553 eh, not the way it's practiced today
Sanda is a ruleset, and applying a ruleset always forces a diversion from the original martial art. It was karate that created the kickboxing ruleset, but if you look at a traditional karate fighter vs a kickboxer, there's a very clear difference in style.
@medx1553 this isn't to say that there's not kung fu in sanda anymore, but the longer sanda is its own thing, the more sport specific the fighters become, and therefore the more the original martial art will be lost
I gotta say this is the most "pure" kung fu guy I've seen yet on FCB (who doesn't seem sloppy in specific areas). Bravo! Jerry I think he has sparred and mixed up his training regiment to be more Modern, but I don't think he took the path of KF➡️Sanda/MT➡️mix em up.
Now this kung fu guy is fun to watch! If that flying side kick landed that would of been a spill the popcorn moment.
best kungfu fighter I've seen yet!
he was swift and accurate!
those fancy spin kicks looked like they were well practiced!
Yes and he held back. I was a KF Kicker and saw he retracted his jumping hook kick. If he followed through even if the MMA blocks, the MMA guy would be sent to the hospital and it’s TKO. There is a possibility he could suffer brain damage. So yes, the KF guy is not going full force with his kicks. I know from sparring experience and seen full contact fights.
thank you for showing this fight, it's the greatest demonstration of kung fu I've seen.
Kung Fu guy was very skilled and confident. That back fist he threw was wicked fast and caught MMA off guard, as well as those awesome takedowns. Well done!
We need to see more of this guy
Best Kung Fu fighter I've seen on your channel so far! This guy is fighting smart and doing movie choreography all at the same time.
He may have done a lot of Northern styles, seeing him use a bladed stance and jumping into his kicks, but I might be wrong.
Drunken Kung fu was primo
Agreed!
great find. this kung-fu guy was the first impressive use of kung-fu in MMA i've seen (not that i've seen a lot to compare). He was confident, handled the MMA aggression and still had the space to give some kung-fu. i loved the drunken switch. that was difficult to read, first time i think i'm understanding it's practical use.
That's some beautiful Kung-Fu - I would love to see more Kung-Fu in combat sports.
Most of the time when you see someone try the fancy stuff in a fight it fails miserably. The fact he waseven halfway successful makes the kung fu guy probably the best we have ever seen in MMA.
That is because MOST of the time the blue fighter is not paid to lose like he was here.
Just look how many muppets in the comments saying "the kungfu guy was so good"...
In just about every fancy kungfu move red made, blue could have hurt him bad or took him down.
This fight was a "demonstration" (ahem) like those silly monks do
Show evidence of a bribe, know-it-all
@@bertt1055 ... there is a ton of evidence in the video, of the blue fighter moving slowly, not attacking, not taking advantage of obvious openings of fancy kungfu dancer.
I thought at first he was just letting red fighter tire himself out then would pound him to the mat, but as the fight went on it became really obvious that blue was there for ONE reason; to let red look good using fancy moves on him.
Blue was obviously capable of putting that skinny guy down whenever he wanted.
@@wizrom3046 lol. That’s not evidence. Ah well. To each his/her own.
@@bertt1055 ... video evidence of blue not trying to win even though he is a real fighter with good style and strength?
Red deliberately showing off fancy, stupidly risky moves without a care in the world, knowing that blue won't pound him because it's all pre-arranged?
Do you even watch fights? How much evidence do you need?
The 360 and low sweep 掃堂腿, and scissors takedown are in 7 star mantis, a school I practiced as a teenager; but common in many northern style. His long range fighting distance is also typical northern style.
Do you remember what form the scissor features in? I was HK 7Star for quite a few years, but never got taught that one!
actually on a re-watch, I think I get it. This is Lei Wulong’s style from Tekken. The high hook to low sweep combo is classic Lei Wulong for instance. And Lei Wulong was a video-game-ification of Jackie Chan.
Life imitates art
Lol
"That's probably a sanda throw" well, sanda is Kung-Fu.
Kind of... it's a sports expression for all styles of Kung fu to have a common ground to compete.
Considering there are literally HUNDREDS of styles, I'd say that making the distinction is actually pretty much justified.
Sanda has it's "allowed movesets", that's why you talk about sanda as a separate thing.
@@nicolasandresmartinez-cond126true! And there's also the fact that just like Muay Thai gyms are teaching some boxing, Sanda schools have been teaching stuff from other arts for years
@@jestfullgremblim8002 Exactly. It's been optimized for a while now to fit their moveset to the rules more efficiently.
Every chinese developed martial art is "kung fu" if you want to get technical but that term encapsulates a wide variety of styles.
@@KeyserSoze23 true
One of the best Kung fu fighter!
The three kicks and three blocks at 3:21 - Very telling. Kung Fu is real.
Now, this is what I'm talking about!
Well done to the Kung Fu guy he really stepped it up.
Lol this dude was awesome, stupidly fluid movement and superb sense of distance, he dashed in and out of range with ease, especially at the beggining of the first round. He also had those crazy takedowns down. Would love to see more of his fights.
In regards to his training imho he's a combat sports athlete, probably sanda, who integrated TCMA techniques and tactics to his game.
That was some amazing kung fu !
The Kung fu here was the most practical use I have seen on Yt!!❤
Cool moves! Watching this is pure joy
Yo,I truly enjoy your honest take on commentary .Makes me more invested in martial arts as a whole.
Thank you so much!
wow this was a really cool fight. First time I've seen a kung fu guy dominate an mma guy.
And no excuse for people to say "where was the kung fu - didn't see any". The drunken fist, leg sweep and kicks were all really fun to see.
From what I am seeing, the bullshido era is passing along with the overzealous claims by mma guys against traditional styles.
Finally, a kung fu guy who actually fights. Yes, this is kung fu. Not sure what variety, but you can tell by the loose limbs, and the highly specific techniques
this guys actually good. never seen a kung ffu guy fight like that before.
That was great. More of this, please.
it’s definitely sanda, but it’s also definitely more than sanda. It reminds me a lot of Cung Le’s glory days where he had a ton of flashy throws and kicks, and in his day he was very dominant in sanda/sanshou. It also reminds me a lot of Saenchai (forgive the heresy) insofar as he’s technically gifted enough to know he can generally get away with throwing crazy, showoffy things. There was also a wonderful Middle Eastern kung fu fighter who could pull off this amazing flashy stuff who died of cancer maybe 10-15 years ago, I think you covered one of his videos.
Yep Eishan Shafiq
@@FightCommentarythat’s his name. I loved that guy. A shame he died so young.
@@elenchusLotta really great ones died back in the day. Remember Andy Hug.
This was so much fun! Props to the kung fu guy 👏👏👏
Finally someone good at Kung Fu representing. Awesome stuff. Would like to see more.
👍. This kung fu guy has trained to fight.
I would say definitely kung fu with the big looping swings and back fists. I think he likely does Ditang based on the jump kicks and scissor sweeps. It borrows a lot from monkey and drunken aerial techniques.
Thanks a lot for your good job, especially about this Kung Fu guy....very very good 👍 not only muay thay or MMA or boxe or..... finally real Kung Fu guy
Amazing!!!
That was actually awesome!
An ACTUAL Kungfu guy! That was impressive!
This is one of the best king fu fighters I’ve seen
He does Saenchai hip dancing in the beginning, then a lot of movie kung fu styles, he's been studying but his emulation makes him pretty great actually.
This is the mortal kombat, hongkong level fighting i was sold when i was a child first studying Kenpo
Kung Fu is making a come back!
That was actually beautiful to watch, battle tested kung-fu is legit.
That little guy in the red is amazing!
Sanda is modernized kungfu. It takes what works in multiple styles and weeded out the useless stuff. There’s a documentary on the guy who created Sanda, he talked about how he developed the style.
He did boyka's double kick thing
Buena pelea gracias por compartir saludos desde México
This is unbelievable . Damn.
Great explanation
In Sanda/Shuai Jiao, I believe takedowns don't score if you also go to the ground, so it might just be a traditional kung fu flying scissor, which is awesome! Hope we get to see heaps more of this guy
In sanshou rules, a throw where the thrower remains standing is worth 2 points, while a throw where the thrower lands on top with control is worth 1 point. If you land too separate or otherwise don't demonstrate enough contro, it's 0 points.
@@mengmao5033 thanks for the clarification! Would that type of takedown score in sanshou?
@@Autonamatonamaton it depends on how well you execute it and how strict the ref is (the referee dictates to the judges the scoring value for each takedown). If you don't have full control of the opponent's legs, the ref might call it a no score. Worse, if you land with your hand first, and the opponent only falls to his knees but lands on top of you a bit, the ref might score the attempt against you. But yes, in theory, it could score 2 under sanshou rules.
Kung fu guy was the real deal, he could take and give out punishment without losing his technique!
Very interesting fight, alot of good kung fu shown. thx for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Fun fight!
Good take down!
nice fight.
This guy is like ehsan shafiq brought back to life!
Comparing Kung Fu and Sanda is like comparing Karate and Kyokushin, which makes no sense. Sanda is just modernized version of some traditional styles of Wushu/KungFu, which also uses one of the oldest martial art styles in China - Shaui Jiao. Earlier names for Shuai Jiao were Jiao Ti and Jiao Li, it is believed that it is older than 4000 years old. I see Sanda more as a set of rules than just a single martial art style, so many schools will have many different techniques, but the basic ones are all the same.
that was a pretty amazing fight
Awesome
About time ive seen some better execution of a variety of moves. White shorts guy definately well trained and good structure. So important to know how to ready stance yourself after some of this more flamboyant strikes. I enjoyed this.
You mentioned it in the end, the MMA guy has a pretty big weight advantage. Long Hu Men Lao Shi was really impressive here!
Both fighters are legit. This fight is better than the fake TKD blackbelt video.
He actually held back that jumping hook kick. If he followed through lights out even if he blocked it. I saw how he retracted that jumping hook kick. He has good control in his kicks. Granted, he’s not trying to kill the guy. People need to understand. He’s not going full force and this looks more of a sparring match. I’m pretty sure if he wanted to knock the MMA guy he would’ve easily with his kicks.
Definitely a sanda fighter. He is obviously adding more flashy wushu moves in sort of like how saenchai is able to pull of Muay boran techniques in his Muay Thai.
He is not pure kunfu. He looks like he definitely has done Sanda training extensively
That was fking dope
Nice skills
Refreshing.
He did jeet kwon do a.k.a all of them, kung fu this time it didn't let us down
this is legit kung fu master..
3:23 he checked his leg kicks perfectly with destruction technique. That's why he fell and the fight stopped. Kungfu guy destroyed that guy's leg with his blocking.
He looks like he studied kickboxing but is mixing in some old wushu (i.e. northern styles) stuff here and there.
Awesome fight, I've been feeling a little sad about kungfu and I've been doubting whether any of it is useful or practical after watching Eyepatch Wolf's video on it but this fight cheered me up!
KungFu guy kick some ass.😁
1:23 I have seen that move in a Jackie Chan movie called "Police Story " (1985)
He seems to have lots of sanda experience mixed with traditional Kung Fu
A potential squandered by a sea of fakes.
Instead of an mma guy exposing fake kung fu gurus, it could have been an actual, seemingly effective kung fu user showing what is really possible. Might even be hit less harshly by the gov.
yeah that would be more intersting. like mining for diamonds lol
Sanda... The BEst martial art
I think u missed the most important part. At 3:20 kung fu dude triple checked mma guys left kick and broke mma guys ankle/foot 😮 that's why it ended.😮
I don’t think any of these gyms train just Kungfu without Sanda anymore. I look at Sanda to KungFu as like what ADCC is to grappling. But lol 😂 I like this guy, he reminds me of Saenchai with his playfulness and genuinely enjoying himself
This was crazy
The kung fu fighter is very entertaining.
The dropping circular spinning sweeps you are referring to are generally referred to as sickle sweeps and can be found in many northern and southern kung fu, karate, and - of course - in wushu and seen in the standard chang chuan (North style) form. They can be done sweeping forwards or backwards or combination front sweep with the right leg, followed by a back sweep with the trailing left leg.
That scissor takedown was awesome and I think I may try it in BJJ roll at some point. Lol. Only problem with using such a takedown in BJJ is that you lose connection with the opponent which fundamentally breaks one of the principles of BJJ of staying connected, and you have to scramble to your feet quicker than the opponent. Also, like the banned judo takedown, kani basami, it could pose a danger in injuring the opponent's knee.
But, yes, kung fu or wushu is not the only thing this guy has studied. It looks like he has trained sport wushu because he has "hop" and does fancy moves including drunken style. But he definitely has practical striking knowledge. With the way he does lean backs, and pops his hip with his teeps, his style looks like muay Thai. He has a very aggressive pressure, stay-in-the pocket, style of muay Thai. It could be sanda but sanda fighters typically have a slightly wider and more solid stance because they grapple and want to avoid getting taken down.
If you want your flashy kung fu worked.. Learn Sanda!
He is a true kung fu master
🔥
This a real Shaolin master.. 😊
I think is Kung Fu with Sanda wish is not bad at least he making it real.
Both have fight experience. The kungfu guy is definitely a veteran in the ring.
First time I see 2 asians speak italian
Wich martial arts best for street
Definitely a tool box of styles there. Long Hu Men isn't that a comic book character?
This is very good. Hope to see more kungfu in the ring. For more kungfu in combat sports see " Yi quan in training and at competition". Its kungfu in the cage. But this is nothing compared to " Yi quan vs kyokushin" and " kyokushin vs. teikiken( the japanese name for yi quan). Their fighting no gloves, punches to the face and kicks to the groin allowed.
The Kung Fu guy was actually pretty good. I liked him
For me he has a classical Wushu training, that included of all the Hollywood classics like drunken boxing, flying roundhouse kicks, and he trained Sanda on top of this.
Hopefully we see more of this with money in Sanda and MMA.
Who is the kf guy? Awesome
pure kung fu guy with experience in contact style....it must be monkey style and sanda, and little muay thai
