Top 50 Songs Most Successful in Jury Vote in Grand Finals (2009-2021) / Eurovision

- It's a list made of 50 #Eurovision songs since 2009 according to a percentage of the maximum possible score in the jury vote.
The video includes songs which competed in the grand finals from 2009 to 2021 excluding 2013 (because of lack of needed data, split average rankings were published instead of split scores).
In case of a tie their relative placement is the tie-breaker.

Damn the juries really do love Sweden...
We're good
Head judge of the jury is swedish so...
@@nex3206 Jon Ola sand is norweigan
Sweden has like an 'ESC-formula'. All their songs follow kinda of a similar pattern every year, they never really send anything too out of the box. I feel that lately the televote has had enough with their cliche songs, they really need to revamp and try something different.
...and Italy
Wow in 2017 the 1st place was just so dominant and way above anyone else. And so was the 2nd place Bulgaria compared to the rest below him. It was a very unusual year.
Best performances by far in Ukraine. :) Italy did a great job too.
I still don't know why Portugal win so dominant, this song was so boring
@@jan5691 I feel like it’s because on the night he stood out. 2017 had a lot of pop songs and he was different.
@@jan5691 may be boring for you but his song shows what music is really about
@@jan5691 It's not for you to understand then.
Imagine u get over 600p like no one ever did before you and u still didn't win.
would that even be possible?🤔
@@itsbigbunny892 they are talking about the Kristian Kostov's case
@@itsbigbunny892 I'm pretty sure that's an exaggeration to prove a point as max possible points are usually below 500 pts, I agree he deserved better
Even up to now, I believe he's still in top 5 highest points
@@sm79165 there's no exaggeration in that number? The voting system in place since 2016 adds 2 sets of votes - jury & public - together instead of what used to be an average between the 2. Bulgaria got 615 in 2017 while Portugal won the same year with 758 points.
glad to see you posting again!!! can you make videos about success percentages in the semi finals! thx

Austria twice first in jury votes this last century 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹
🇵🇹🇵🇹❤
Salvador♥
Portugal 🇵🇹 Salvador Sobral ♥️
Ronaaaa❤🇦🇱🇽🇰
Italy 2015's entry was R O B B E D!! only sixth??! :c
Haha, what a joke,Italy's 2015 song was the most overrated ever!
@@a.c.6567 Agree!
It's very cheesy, a song mostly for housewives, not for music professsionals.
ITALY 2011 SHOULD HAVE WON
Austria 2018. *blows a kiss to the juries for elevating that gem*
Despite the usual political votes, juries tend to reward strong vocal performances, while televoters don't care about that. Cesar's vocals were one of the best in 2018 for sure. Portugal's song this year is an example too, they placed 7th in jury vote because of vocals, but then televote completely buried them. Switzerland (Gjon) won the jury this year too because his vocals were absolutely stunning.
2017 was the only time with the new format when juries and televoters agreed.
I can't believe juries were more into Robin Bengtsson than Patricia Kaas...
Two totally different years you can’t compare them. 2009 all points went to Alexander rybak so other songs didn’t get as much
Imagine getting over 750p in 2016-21 system
And 50p in 1957-74 system
And 130p in 1971-73 system
Évidemment
I even prefer the jury picks to the televote ones. I thnik that jury should definitely stay. They balance each other out nicely
Hahahahahahah do you believe in witches?
Was Zero Gravity somehow inspired by the musical Wicked?🧐
no
DAMI IM was the best that year, unfortunately the fact that she represents Australia prevented her from winning.
100%
the one thing that impresses me about the jury is their ability to hear the same cliche milquetoast songs year after year and still think they're just as phenomenal as the first time
in my opinion, Latvia should have won in 2015
WHY IS 2013 ALWAYS EXCLUDED? someone answer me please I am going crazy 😥😥😥❤
as I know EBU didn't reveal the split vote
What about, the worst in televote in the Grand Final so I can see queen Senhit
I could do one since 1998 but she won't be there🙄
What about without 0-5 points?
@@AlexESC Then maybe one of the closest countries to almost not qualify
Ahah, I think 4 of this year's final would feature :D
Sorry if I sound stupid but I don't understand the percentages. How can something come 7th and get 44% of possible score?
for one country the highest possible score is always getting 12 points, but the whole Total of points is much more of that
I am sorry but where is Serbia 2007 here?
this list is from 2009-2021
still pissed about 2017
2015 is the only Swedish entry that deserves to be on this list
Omg I meant 2014
Absolutely NOT 2015
@@emmacarter2920 You could have edited the comment and what about 2012 + 2015 is amazing
I am PROUD of the jury vote from 2019 😅
Jamala - the example of how one could not win any of voting but could win the EV... wtf?!
Duncan Lawrance too
обидно что сережа никак выиграть не может? :(
Maybe because Jamala had amazing song, vocal and performance...
It's not about winning any of the voting, it's about the combo of both basically. Jamala's song was great, worthy winner!
She finished in 2nd in both jury and televotes while Australia and Russian who won the jury and televotes respectively scored lower on the voting category.
Jamala had a higher and more consistent ranking.
what a travesty it is to see israel 2018 here
How about Finland and Lordi?
it's only from 2009 to 2021 :)
Oh, my mistake 😁
18. Duncan 3rd place by jury in 2019. then no 1st and no 2nd from 2019. how did it count???
After the show the results from Belarus were recounted and North Macedonia ended up winning the jury vote.
@@AlexESC and what about 2nd place?
Sweden became 2nd instead
@@AlexESC ok thanks mate. But i still didn't understand why at least Sweden hasn't appeared in this top. Cuz of recounting of Belarus' results?
It's in here at the 14th place
Juries never liked Turkey, juries have always gave much less than what televoting system gave to Turkey.
Yeah, but to be fair Turkey was overrated by the televoting system because of basically guaranteed 12s from e.g. France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
@@eurovision50 it is not possible just with Turkish citiziens in that countries to take 12 points, I mean that countries also likes Turkish entries. On the other almost every countries gave point to their neighbours but our neighbours do not give us even if when we deserve.
@@mehmetkandamar1431 Well I mean, given that between 2003 and 2010, France gave Turkey 12 points every year, except for 2008, where Turkey was awarded 10, I'd say there's a pretty clear correlation.
Juries are like old people but they actually have taste
So basically the jury votes either in Australia or good voices, not caring about the music style or effects...
or charisma, which is something the televote cares a lot
Not necessary i don't think no Barbara Pravi it or gjon was less charismatic than maneskin band just people more loved now cause pandemic sucha noices good score for Italy finalmd and Ukraine wanted something like scream or shout. Jury looked maybe more for something artistic
Or race
Often times, so does the audience.
Azerbaycan 2009 islandadan daha iyi bence
not everything in this video is correct, as example North-Macedonia was 2nd in jury vote in 2019 and sweden first, but you turned that around
That's not true. After the contest EBU ruled out that the Belarusian aggregated jury vote was counted incorrectly, and North Macedonia turned out to be the winner of the jury vote.
@AlexESC ah oké thank you for your reponse, I did not know that. I’m sorry. Go one, cause I love your Eurovision content!
Sweden is best!!!!
People can't complain about neighbour voting while not addressing jury bias in favour of Sweden.
Look at this years results, then delete this comment.
@@gatukatt Sweden came in second? Again! Juries do always overrate them.
@@nialldean9791 Lmao the fact that u responded to a year old comment. It was a good song and deserved high jury points, just because it maybe didn't appeal to everyone doesn't mean it isn't a more proffesional song which the juries will appreciate.
In 2019 sweden was first after the jury with 249 points
They recounted, I think Belarus jury votes and that made North Macedonia win the jury vote.
Political jury voting Austria Ukraine Sweden France etc
Barbara PrAvi was robed by rusisn jury ( 12 point to mlodova kirkorov) polish jury 12 points to San Marino in semi final San Marino gaved Poland 12 ( for some wired friendship. Belgium jury danish and Georgian
Russia wouldn't have given 12 points to France even without Kirkorov, who produced Moldova
@@bincred4359 maybe not 12 but 0?
Azerbaijan in 2011 is the 1 st place, but in this video show Azerbaijan 2nd place, this is your big mistake.
Nope, it's not a mistake. Here he is talking about jury vote only, and Italy won jury vote that year.
where is Sam, Chanel, Cornelia, etc, your top is 👎🤢
you commented under last year's video...
in my opinion bulgaria shoud won in 2017
what a jury thinks who cares nowadays? most of the singers above just tonedeaf and it's a professional jury chooses...
Heroes 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Why does Portugal 2017 got so many points? The song was just boring
There's energetic songs and calm songs, can't judge a song with that argument, deal with it. 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
wtf it’s one of the best winner songs ever
@@mariafrancesc0 for me its one of the worst
It is typically the type of song where either you 100% into it or not at all. I'm not a big fan of it but he has talent for sure. I kind of feel the same for Ukraine this year, I was definitely not into it
It's not because it's calm that the song is boring.
Juries must leave, ever since they came the contest has been going downhil
not at all
No! I think they are more fair than televotes.
It's precisely the opposite. The contest has been getting better and better since now we have a balance between televotes and juries. The 2000's were dominated by the televote and some of the results were a disaster.
Bulgaria in top 10 yasssd
