- The 2000’s opened with a bevy of new Duke stars. Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Jay Williams and Mike Dunleavy Jr. who dominated the early part of the decade including winning Duke’s third national championship in 2001. The stream of stars continued with the likes of Dahntay Jones, Chris Duhon, Luol Deng, Shelden Williams and of course, J.J. Redick. Redick and Battier join Kenny Dennard to deliver personal tales of their relationships and friendships with Coach K and the decade of the 2000’s in Legacy: Coach K - The 2000’s.

Shane's story of the three phone calls was EPIC. What an amazing story.
Battier was and still is my all time favorite Dukie. He epitomizes the very essence of that thing that makes up the DNA of a Duke Team Leader!!! Redick had some of the same characteristics and those intangible things made them both special special players
That 03-04 team was probably my favorite Chris Duhon, JJ Reddick, Sean Dockery, Daniel Ewing, man they got sooo close... lost in the final four to UConn. Seems like we were up by 12 with 2 minutes left.... and lost by 1
Okafor had 4 fouls, all Duke’s big men fouled out. Deng was playing center at the end

WINS A WIN! Good thing is that It was a good teaching moment! When you focus on one person the whole time instead of the TEAM thats no good! Thats why coach Davis sent his players out after the game to speak to the media cuz it's not about him its about the kids. For a "senior night" I didn't see a damn thing about any senior! Just coach k . So sad !
