Official Seaside Heights Boardwalk Construction Time-Lapse

This was my hometown ... its bittersweet . I'LL ALWAYS remember it pre-Sandy/ fire. But I'm glad its making a comeback. So many Awesome memories......

I'm so so Thankful that I live in Pennsylvania, We don't have to worry about major storms, especially Hurricanes. We do get Tornadoes but they aren't all that severe, If Pennsylvania does get a storm, We always bounce back. I'm so Happy to live in Pennsylvania.

Only about one third of the boardwalk and buildings on it were burned downed, and the boardwalk part was replaced by the next year, anyway. Some of the buildings on that one third survived because they had sprinklers, notably the Beachcomber and Saw Mill bars, and the rest of the buildings on that third are being rebuilt. Most of what was replaced after Sandy was not damaged by the fire, and Sandy damaged about half of the total boardwalk, which was replaced in the video above, half of the Casino Pier, which was reopened smaller the following year, and the rides in Seaside Park, which may be replaced. Most of the buildings on the entire boardwalk, including the arcades, bars, concessions and shops, were not damaged, and made it through.

And now after it's all finally finished, it burns down :(
So sad! So many childhood memories and such a great source of revenue for the area. Tourists, jobs, money, attractions and enjoyment all lost. It's been there for soo long with no problems, then goes down twice within a year. I'm ure they will fix it yet again. Hopefully one day they'll have the funds to rebuild that iconic roller coaster.
