Anyone else disturbed by the lack of depth on the base? It's not uncommon for modern skyscrapers to have support beams 100 feet deep. This looks like a 3 story foundation to me and not a very wide base. Super scary in high winds.

I didn't even know this until recently, but I'd always assumed that the edges of the reflecting pools were the same size as the base of the towers and they aren't; they're 31% smaller. I honestly wish they would have been the same measurements, so people like myself who'd never seen the towers could better understand their true scale, but the two pools are still incredible nonetheless. And I'm sure tons of people knew that, maybe even most, just not myself. I've still not had the chance to visit the site and see the new tower, but it's way up there on the list of places I'd love to see and experience.
