This keeps up and by 2050 we'll be putting together our gaming rigs with a jeweler's eye and tweezers.
Funny comment, but it's called a jewelers loupe
I expect to at least improvement of metals/heat removal so it can be 1/5 the size
no it will be in the cloud in 2050
@@7xyn and after that we just use spice
This is exactly the review that I was looking for, thank you, great work!
This thing looks sick. I wanna build something "console-sized" one day.
A few years ago I repented to God then begged for help, "I was until then an Atheist."
I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed.", and what I felt from Jesus when I held him was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of Love every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life, forever.
I've had Many experiences since, "Several witnessed", one was seeing a bright orb of light pass across my face in the dark, hours before a major surgery the second I gave up in my heart.
Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they Love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you Love them.
Always have hope, I believe that prayer, following God's laws & Love is the answer, and through that, Truly becoming humble, merciful, welcoming, giving, gentle, respectful, compassionate, patient, kind and forgiving, To All.
Anyone really wants a console-thing these days than just common PC offerings...
i noticed that the case has perforations for air flow below the GPU. I would assume you would want to put some feet on that side to elevate the case slightly to allow that air flow unless you just lay the system on its back instead.
I have a different version, but it's basically like this case. And it's not meant to be sat like the way ETA has it.
@@murdock94 horizontally
@@murdock94 it's meant to be vertical like ETA has it. It comes with legs to provide airflow underneath the GPU
@@chasependergrass6362 I'm not seeing that listed on any of the listings on Aliexpress. Edit: Never mind. Found a listing with it.
You could but they make another version that's the same size except it has feet and a handle.
It's a great case if you want to go small without a riser cable. It eliminates one of the most common headache in sandwich style cases.
It is simply amazing that we're seeing builds like this now and companies targeting the SFF space like this. Sure we've had them before but nothing quite like this I mean this one went together like a lego set and so clean on the inside to boot! Personally I"m hoping for a setup like this but using the AMD 8000 G-series CPU's coming in Jan 2024 and see what they bring to the table.
Would be great to see this tiny powerhouse running a *nix variant for sure! And could I suggest maybe seeing how Mechwarrior 5 or Mechwarrior Online runs in this monster? With Mechwarrior Clans in the pipeline Mechwarrior looks to be coming back big and would be neat to see here :)
Great video!
This is a cool little build. I wish I had a use case for something like this because I would love to build one.
you could build to gift, to sell, or for me
wow...wow...so powerfull, great balance between price/performance/watts...amazing
Mister ETA I really loved this video, thanks for sharing!
Great content as always! Keep it coming!
about 150 watt, that's so insane, perfect for my boat, definitely buying this.
thankyou for all your videos you done a great job
To be clear, no graphics cards (at least other than in China) are PCIe Gen 5. Your description would suggest otherwise
All of these MinisForum mobos w/CPU have PCIE Gen 5 GPU slots and Gen 5 M.2 but the AR900i has 4xM.2 Gen 4 and the BD770i/ BD790i have two.
I got the MicroTitan PC on MicroPowerPC and I absolutely love it. Incredible build quality, and super powerful. Probably the best PC I've ever had.
I see lots of different devices on this channel I'd love to see a small form factor/ performance/price comparison between some of these things.
Same at the end of a year near the holidays he does a best of mini pc but that doesn't include the sff builds he does.
Cool! Super tiny but might!!
Hey, it's honestly the future of PCs. Keep promoting them.
this is so tempting to recreate
It's a really neat build❤
Waiting on the BD790i. 16c/32t at 55w. Use the x16 slot for 10g or 40g. Install in mITX rack mount. Perfect low power Proxmox server!
Pretty cool, we managed to put the 4060 into a 3.18 Litre case which we made, we have a few videos show casing it and a build time lapse!
Thanks for testing at 1440p. It's crazy how many 'serious' reviewers are still testing at 1080p in 2024.
Would like to see how Star Citizen runs on this, of course I know it's in Alpha and buggy as hell, but it would be good to see if it will at least run.
Uhhh... ping me in January when the case arrives. But it won't be ideal because my build will feature 3950X (I have 7700X also waitng for transplant since I've upgraded my workstation to 7950X3D but I don't have AM5 ITX motherboard to go along with it...) - I don't think results will be representative, 3950X gaming performance is... it leaves much to be desired.
A low profile RTX 4070 would be dope and I reckon it can be done, it still only requires 1 8 pin power connector, it's power efficient maxing out at 200W with RTX 3080 levels of performance, and don't forget undervolting, I hope gigabyte make one, temps should be perfectly manageable.
I don't think you realise how big of a cooler you would need for that 200W and precisely why it will not happen. For reference, people tried transplanting cooler from 1 fan 4060 to 4060Ti and it just wasn't enough without severe TDP limit which made performance drop off to the point of it not being worth the hassle. Low profile? Forget about that.
Good luck with that. I'm sure you could with the 4060 TI and some power limiting/undervolting. But the 4070 gets too hot for a cooler that small. The 4070 runs often about 5 degrees hotter and sometimes even hotter compared to the 3060 TI, both which are rated at 200W TDP, although 4070 more commonly uses slightly below 200W than the 3060 TI does. The MSI Aero ITX of the 3060 TI is really small, but it's a pain and loud to use if it's not inside a big system with lots of airflow, and that's with about 5 degrees or more cooler than the 4070. (not accounting for the G6X vram heat). While these cards are very power efficient and powerful, they generate a lot more heat in exchange which needs to be cooled. Good example of TDP being a bad metric for both power draw and heat exchange.
Velka 5 V3 is right up your ally. 4070 full size fits just fine.
Power mod a4000 ada sff😅😅
@@Micromation I mean, a power limited 4060 ti or 4070 are still better than a 4060 😉
Thank you for the video. I'll be buying a few of these boards for myself and family, thanks again.
\
I love to see horizonally mounted GPU in SFF pcs that will just give us more space for beefier CPU coolers and therefore more powerful CPUs
best thing about that minisforum bd770, not only is it a deal as far as price to performance, but it really holds up against it's desktop big brother option. My GF got the BD770i and I have a mini itx rig with a Ryzen 7 7700x. we ran benchmarks beside each other back to back both cpuz and geekbench 6. The minisforum loses in performance by about 80 points on geekbench 6, which is literally nothing. It's a killer deal.
Someone who's open to Linux gaming is an instant sub from me
I am kind of planning to do a company that is based of these PCs with the console looks
bro I built this pc and it is AMAZING it runs all my games smoothly I was surprised 😊
Amazing. So impressive.
Would love to see a video about you comparing device from around $50 used items are allowed and seeing which device will give you the ultimate emulation performance, all i want is for you to test a phone , laptop, media box, mini pc , office pc and those usb devices and seeing which will give you the best emulation for your budget all items must be $50 or below
I really wish this case had some workable front I/O. I will try to modify one once I complete my build and see where I can actually squeeze it in but I want at least 2x USB-A and 1x USB-C.
Love this case
I was looking for but you got there first, I haven't been started yet. Small but not smaller than mine though, lol. I like your idea. I have to start to clear my house, I got 40 computers here, some old, 2003 ish and looking at updating it. I have an idea, you can fit that in a well known case in those time, 2000 ish? Gotta have some fun though.
Man, I hope the 790i can fit into that also
Cool vid jaymin
This would be an amazing steam machine.❤❤❤
That stock cpu cooler looks better quality than the one built into my old RTX 2060.
very nice build!Do you know if it's possible a build like this with steam os? I would like to build a pc like this like a console connected to my TV. Bye!
That ryzen 7 is more powerful than I thought. No wonder all the handhelds using it are pretty good.
Question for the slim 120mm noctua fan.
Did you have to use your own screws or did the motherboard come with them in order to get the fan screwed onto the cooler?
I'd love to see a comparison with the BD790i and the AR900i. I love the 4xM.2 on the AR900i and I've been looking at this case for a while now but it could use a few IO ports in the front because the board doesn't offer a lot.
4060 just doesn't have the memory bandwidth for 1080p due to that bus width. Even though it could theoretically run well at 1440p, it just chokes hard in some games at 1440p because of that artificial limitation. I bed you'd have a huge performance gain with 1080.
Totally agree but I saw many comments, probably bots or people paid to comment, on previous videos requesting it.
its the best of what sff has to offer
So the PCI4 bus I 8 lanes instead of 16 lanes .. also 128bit wide memory bandwith instead of 192bit
He use this same card on the AR900i which is the Intel one and ran thses games in 1440P ultra
DLSS upscaling helps out greatly here and makes 1440p viable. I have a 4060 laptop (Legion 14” slim) with a 2880x1800 screen and the 4060 has no problem pumping out 60+ FPS in every game I throw at it, including heavy titles such as Cyberpunk, and remains relatively cool, so that the laptop runs quietly.
DLSS 3.0 has been refined over time to the point where I don’t notice any artefacts during gameplay.
So the built in cooler looks the same as the ar900i minusforum has, would you be able to tell me the height of the heatsink with the fan on it ? Always a great video
this beats Devyn's build since it's smaller and uses a more standard Flex PSU
Very nice system.
I might have missed it, but the video description says it can support a 4080 or better, is the case modular? Doesn't seem to be much space. The Velka 5 seems to be the best ~5L itx case out there.
Hey ETA are you able to take off the cooler and repaste it? I'm curious to see if they did a good job on it. The high temps on this with a bigger heat sink and fan than laptop with the same CPU and the same temps.
What was the total price? Did you say in the video?
Great video and build - QUESTION - What app do you use to show the FPS and temps overlay?
MSI Afterburner but technically RivaTuner (which is in the Afterburner setup) Great software for monitoring!
hope to see a comparison vid vs I guess a 7700x or 7600x with the same specs altogether and compare how much would it cost to do it compared to the b770i
He doesn't do comparison vids🙃.
He doesn't direct compare vids. Even if he did, it wouldn't be comparable anyways. Those cpu's are desktop variants and the one he is using here is a mobile variant. Mobile variants have many restrictions placed on them to be able to run off of a battery and a very low wattage psu. Its like comparing Apples to Milk.
@@Summit900 I understand but the product is being sold as a motherboard + cpu thus making a desktop machine is the main reason for it's existence. Also some games don't rely too much on cpu power so I'm curious on what degree it's different from 7600/7700 that could warrant it's existence and price point. I haven't found anyone from Reddit yet on comparing this to any other and ETA seems to be the only one covering this at the moment.
@@hackerooagreed. Other guy is bonkers saying that a comparison wouldn’t make sense. It would actually be an amazing comparison to see how laptop CPUs in a desktop form factor compete with their desktop counterparts.
Whats the equivalent Desktop competitor of this CPU? I see that the performance is solid and combined with a mini ITX board it makes this a very appealing option. If I was to opt for a R5 7600 with a mini itx board I would be looking for sure around 350£. I've seen that the cinebench scores are around the same performance as the 7800X3d even beating this actually on single core performance score.
Would love to know how the onboard iGPU is at gaming.
What's the total heatsink with fan height on this board? Trying to find out dimensions as want to use it in a densium v4 if it fits 😊
motherboard is nice, but the price is making me more into getting an ERYING one with 12th or 13th gen intel soldered onto it :/
even with mITX format, you get full DIMM and not SODIMM slots and more IO ports
I'd like so see how this would go with the A750 Sparkle. If you can find a case that's just right that is
pretty cool and interesting build, however it hurts to see that gpu get basically 0 room for cooling
hi eta, if youe interested in super small itx cases, you shoud check out the velka 3. its 3.9L and really great quality and i think you couldve fit this same exact build in that case.
Velka 3 has 30mm less CPU cooler clearance.
@@breadkrum6860 that’s a great point. after writing this comment, i realised that the fin stack and the 25mm thick fan probably wouldn’t fit in it.
On going small: you were so focused on if you could, that you didn't stop and think if you should. Lol!
Looks like Mrs. ETA PRIME has made an appearance.
I love this so much, but with blackfriday laptop deals I am officially off the market for mobile/miniPCs for a couple years, building up these is just not worth it to me atm.
Curious. If you ran a igpu and didn't install the discreet GPU do you think you could squeeze 2 3.5" HDS. in that space?
Hope they're still planning on releasing the bd790i with the 7945hx. The internet says they're reconsidering demand. 😕
I think they start shipping 1/25/24 and we should shee some specs and builds very soon.
How is the reliability and noise of that PSU? Thinking about getting it for a similar build (except the mobo)
Will love to see Bazzite GNOME in this thing
How much did it all cost to build..
I got £500 to bulid or buy a mini pc to play aaa games and for emulation as well. Can u pls help me whats best way to get one pls?
can you make a video showing this and similar builds running productivity tasks + cpu load + cpu temps...several chrome windows+ youtrube vids+ excel+....etc
it is not all gaming !
Would the smallest itx build just be a laptop docked to a monitor 🤔 ?
It makes me wonder if its possible to use a PlayStation 2 fat shell as a custom case with this setup 🤔
Love this chassis. I may eventually spring for one to hang onto. This build looks nice and clean. I am curious how this CPU compares to it's other 6 and 8 core desktop variants like the 7600.
I think mitx AM5 board with 7800x3d CPU is more powerful if we are about gaming.
@@axescar Well naturally, but I probably would not try to cool a 7800X3D in this size chassis... MAYBE a downclocked 7700 or a stock 7600. ETA provided the alternative of a regular desktop CPU and I was wondering how big the performance gap is.
@@greenprotag I knew that someone will mention cooling :) But 7800x3d is very efficient and with the same wattage that have this mobile CPU, x3d will beat it. Caption of this video is something about "one of the most powerful..". And with am5 socket you will receive full size DDR5 dimms with slightly good timings and freq. So I think mitx am5 replacement is very good for such builds
@@axescar Listed wattage is kinda BS from AMD and Intel. Usually the listed wattage is not "max" but rather with a "nominal load" I suspect the X3D part will be hotter than the 7745HX
That and you have to take into account that this 7745XH has a custom cooling solution with a very dense low profile heatsink that might be hard to match. It even had exhaust out the rear IO.
What’s the average power and FPS when both CPU and GPU are undervolted?
How well do you think this would survive if shipped in a box?
i want to build mini pc with the same spec only the 7745HX on a 4x4 motherbord to build smaler case becose i want to give myself chalenge to build the smalest case posible with thos spec iside
I would be interested to see what the system with an RTX 4080 or 4090 does in terms of FPS in 1440p or 4k
I guess for something where all the work is already done for you, the mobo setup is nice.
For the money, I think people can do better for themselves. Just a matter of finding a low profile cooler for the CPU and knowing what dimensions you need to stay within.
You can get an AM4 itx board for $100-$150 new. A good processor for $150. $300 + a cooler gets you better hardware for less money.
also can you show if this this think will daisy chain multiple monitors without a gpu?
can you explain how the psu mount works? I just received this case and am really scratching my head lol
I'm happy you got a hand model because you got some gorilla mitts 😆
If onyl i coudl do this myself but but smart enough for this, I need a new computer but yeah will never happen to build one.
Forza has know memory leaks effecting frame rates. Running at 1440p I'm surprised you haven't seen any memory issues do the 4060s 12GB memory buffer.
I am looking for a cpu replacement along with MB, I was going to get the 7900x3d and a mb that has usb 4 for thunderbolt and 10gb, but seeing this and a newer announcement premade boards from minisforum, i will wait for a 12 core one
Awesome 😎😊
Tbh that's an impressive pc however i would change the fan cuz it doesn't suits it maybe swap it with AsiaHorse
whats the point of this motherboard if its the same size of an itx board?
Is there another version that we could buy that is kinda like the BD770i from Minisforum
Could you please try it with water cooling
@ 9:47 the text is wrong for the test game lol
Which APU has the best integrated graphics?
Can you try the higole mini pc!?
Can u make a video playing assetto corsa no hesi mod on rog ally?
How about increasing the TDP of the 7745hx?
Great build but not cheap. Perfect for that ultimate emulation build/arcade.
Indeed, getting the best performance in an ITX form factor has never been cheap. There’s always a price premium for high-end mini components.
bro what softwar did u use for monitor fps?
Your starfield benchmark is listed as forza on screen.
What is that spider microphone stand called at 0:11 min it looks so cool, also what microphone would it be compatible with
Gravastar supernova. It's just a plastic overpriced shitty bluetooth speaker. You see it a lot rn because youtubers get paid to shill their products
How much does this build cost?
Case doesn't make much sense to me when the Velia 5 V2 or V3 exist, in terms of maximizing space & power.
Build cost ?
