I recently visited the biggest ERP server in FFXIV and some of the things I have seen cannot be unseen! Follow me: / eiyawow / eiya / eiyawow / eiyawow / eiyawow / discord
Watching this reaction was pretty funny, though I do offer a word of caution. Make sure to never mention the word mod in game. Mentioning said word in game is not only kinda like fight club, but talking about it too much has actually gotten people banned from the game. To be fair some people post screen shots on social media sites of cute redesigned outfits but other than that I don't see much.
As someone from Balmung, I hope you enjoyed the visit, we were THE RP server..then talks and travel happened and we became the erp server. In all honesty it's not too bad, some people just avoid Ul'dah unless it's story related or an event, and most of the population there are wanderers and travelers now, probably alts because Balmung is always full.
Exactly, I remember when I first started playing FFXIV, shortly before Stormblood, and hearing about 'The RP server' in FFXIV, and I knew I wanted to get on it. I bided my time, starting on a low pop server, then moving to Balmung's little sibling (Mateus) before the data centers split, before finally being able to transfer to Balmung around Shadowbringers when the server opened up briefly. Only for world visitation to become a thing and for Balmung to become the 'ERP server' from everyone visiting. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with ERP, in fact my FC is an ERP fc, just gets tiring sometimes, telling people which server I'm from and having some variation of "Oh the ERP server?" being the response.
@@Kerberlos This. I agree, nothing wrong with ERP, but for Balmung to fall from THE RP server to now being known for ERP is kinda embarrasing. I haven't seen a lot of it, but I have heard of others who do raids being talked down to because they were from Balmung. Only time it has happened to me was back when the void ark raid was new, I forgot what exactly happened really.
Probable obvious but when you are in first person your character literally faces their whole body where you are looking at all times so its not as subtle is it seems in 3rd person
Think I saw you walking around! Not on balmung myself, but hanging out in a packed out Quicksand is a vibe, so I world visit while I queue stuff a lot. Just straight vibin'.
@@EiyaTV Is it any more gatekeepy than all the people crapping on the server and telling others, including streamers, to stay away from not just the server but the people from it (who aren't even the majority of the ones hanging around Ul'dah naked)? You didn't because that's not your style, but plenty of people do.
@@EiyaTV The server is overpopulated, no one can make characters on or transfer to Balmung as is, then you add extra congestion from the hundreds of people visiting from other servers and data centers. I don't mind people visiting, But a vocal minority of people who visit are her to either sell gil or harass the players on Balmung who are just trying to enjoy the game and the community, specifically harassing lalafell players. So most of us don't mind people visiting, we don't all like the reputation and harassment that came along with it.
All the refrences to the moon or mare le-whatever its called in game that you see on peoples Adv plates are basically them saying they use a mod called mare that lets you see other peoples mods. Its nothing NSFW by itself most rp and club goers use it. It only shows you the mods of people you have paired with so people put it in their Adv plate so other people know to ask for the code used to pair.
I mean, I'll admit: I use mods! Yes. The devs cry about people like me, but I want to explain why... ... I WANT MY CHARACTER TO WALK BAREFOOTED THROUGH THE SANDS OF COSTA DEL SOL! Yes. Thats the reason why. And another run animation for many elezen. I have no regrets.
Funny how overwhelmed you are by everything, that you walk by multiple people with the FC tag and don't even acknowledge it... which is the FC I'm in. XD
Ooh boy, I had heard the rumors about Balmung, and I have world visited there, but I never went to Ul'dah, even tho I'm on the same DC (Goblin). I only go for hunt trains and the like.
I'd like to formally apologize to my editor Benny for making him edit this one.
The rite of passage of every FF14 player lmao.
You dont get the full critically acclaimed experience unless you run through the Quicksands at midnight. xD
Kudos to Benny on the editing! Great job!
The funny thing with ERP is they're usually the nicest people. Kinda like how alot of swinger couples are incredibly chill and progressive

And yes like how gm's in wow would take players to an isolated place, XIV actually used to (don't think they still do) teleport players to a Gaol 😅
They do.@@MrGanon360

Most of the ERPers on Balmung are visitors from other servers that natives would prefer to go away.
This sounds rather gatekeepy. The servers are full what are people supposed to do.

I didn't even see that 😂
@@EiyaTV 1:32 and 1:45 several people in the FC saw and posted about it in our discord.
this is a whole new side of the game i have never seen!
As a sprout you have to idea how hard I laughed watching this.
I need to learn how to visit other servers. 😂
Go to the main aetheryte in city and you can hop to any on your data center!
Balmung is the best for sitting back and reading chat. few of the regulars in uldah shout are pretty shyte though

What happens in Balmung ... xD
Accepts trade "Thank you!" trader: PET ME!! PET ME NAO!
I didn't want to lead anyone on 😂
Ah, Balmung. Home.
So, I presume you already created a Balmung alt, right ? :)
can't, server is full
@@EiyaTVit has been for a while, usually most balmung alts are made on like, goblin or some other crystal server
well I think she saw nothing yet...
Well, welcome to the true endgame xD
