  • Drew Allar had a fine season in State College as his first year as the starting Nittany Lion quarterback. Huge expectations were abound as he delivered a stellar performance to begin the season against West Virginia. As the season wore on fans saw that his canon hanging off of his right shoulder wasn't always complimented by his willingness to use it downfield. But when he did, it was a thing of beauty that rivals the best in the business. His touchdown to interception ratio (25-1) was phenomenal, tops in the country. And he gained a great deal of experience having played against some of the best teams in the nation.

This dude has TRAITS that you can’t teach. The intangibles are off the charts, he’s super smart, super strong arm, good arm talent, outstanding pocket presence, PROTOTYPICAL SIZE.
Whoever gets him next year might get flack for it because people care so much about stats and production. This kid is what the NFL SEARCHES FOR

Schoen already has seen Drew up close because they scouted and drafted his Tight End Theo Johnson. If Drew has a great year next year the Giants should draft him.

Kinda awkward in the pocket, but looks pretty good. Good pocket awareness, good ball, nice touch. Needs to work on his line of scrimmage awareness. When he steps up all he wants to do is run when he gets close to the line

The hate this kid gets is insane, 2024 (2025 if he decides to come back) will be his legacy defining year(s).
He isn’t Hack- he has a way better attitude/character. He isn’t Trace, he is way more of a true NFL build. He isn’t Sean Clifford, he’s more talented and will be gone after 3-4 years at Penn State.
Andy K’s scheme, Allar’s Confidence and the WRs will define his performance. The kid has the body, mindset and talent to be a stud…just needs to have faith in the scheme and WRs around him. If the scheme is well developed, Allar TRUSTS it (coaches also give him confidence to challenge the ball downfield more) and the WRs catch the balls that hit them in the damn hands this team can be 11-1 at least.

I really like your take on this. I think Allar is a really good quarterback overall so far and has all of the tools to lead Penn State to a championship. I don't understand where the hate comes from either, but sadly there are many people with unrealistically high expectations in sports these days.

Drew I think pretty good I am buy no means a nfl scout but I love lookin at college players and predicting the nfl career I what see is he is realy accurate and can read a defense pretty good but his check down and short throws are slow he will definitely get the ball the receiver. Now can he do it Fast idk

They're called highlights for a reason. Let's see all the really bad things he did, the ones I saw while watching Penn State during his career so far.

What “really bad things”? Aller threw only 2 interceptions and has a newroy 60% completion percentage with a subpar receiving crew.
