Penn State loves their football! The crowds for Penn State games is always insane!
So happy CFB is back! WE ARE!!! And I was honestly quite impressed by WVU btw, I think they played good against a crowd like this
Penn St did a great job of getting Aller on the move and not making him sit back and scan the field the whole game. If you notice almost every big play he had came when the field was cut in half and he had a 1-2 reads or take off. That's a nice way to let your young QB gain confidence for the season.

As a Penn State fan, I give WVU a ton of credit. They played hard and tough and dirty (nothing wrong with that, at all!)
If they're coached properly they'll be an issue for Big 12 opponents. Glad to have a game against them in over 2 decades again.

As a Penn State football fan I don't really expect Penn State to do that much this year. They will once again probably the 3rd-best team behind Michigan and Ohio State and won't be in the college football playoffs yet again and go to some meaningless bowl game.
Until the college football playoff get expanded Penn State won't be one of the top four teams in the country.
As for my fellow WVU fans complaining about the last TD....
- They had their backups in.
- We had them stopped at the 4.
- PSU is ranked. Style points matter to the pollsters, unfortunately.

I would laugh at this comment, but McCord and the entire offense looked bad this week. It might be a first week thing, but McCord has done absolutely nothing to warrant optimism for future weeks, at least not yet
Tackling is still a major concern on defense. Can’t have guys consistently breaking the first two guys to the ball.
Outside some weakness against the run game which is partly due to our top 2 d-line being out but should be back soon, the field goal kicking is the only real concern.
Every week this win looks better and better. WVU keeps winning.

Pros: Allar looks like he’s the real deal, the backfield is elite, there are some DAWGS on defense.
Cons: Special teams are not just average but poor, Oline didn’t look elite today, lacking a bit of depth at WR.
Hopeful for 11-1, but we need to be better in all 3 phases or else we’re 10-2/9-3
Offensive line didn't look as bad as you are saying!!! First game of the year and W. Virginia was stacking the line first of all!!! WE averaged 5 yards a carry and by them stacking the line, young Drew Allar showed out, and threw for over 300 yards, 72 percent completion percent and 3 touchdowns and no turnovers!!!! WE ARE 🏈
@@kevinchandler179I love my team but we can’t lie, we averaged 4.2 yards a carry, I also said they did not look elite….they’re still solid. We need to be better up front if we want beat the bucks and Blue. We have time, good start!

The pass blocking wasn't very good, but it wasn't great against Purdue last year. Trying to open up Week 1 against a decent power 5 team is a tough challenge for any o line, except for Michigan

People talking about West Virginia secondary? West Virginia put as much pressure on the rookie quarterback as possible. It's why they got through the line a number of times. They loaded eight in the Box. Too many to block. However, they got burned badly because of it.

PSU has their 2nd string offense in the last few drives of the game. Nothing wrong with getting the 2nd stringers meaningful snaps.
Well, no. Penn State had third-stringers in and their second string quarterback. They ran the ball, they did not pass it. And number three, if there's a real logjam at the top at the end of the season, it goes by points and point differential. In this day and age you have no choice. They ran it and let the onus of stopping them fall on the shoulders of West Virginia.
So the office of player is allowed to face mask but the defensive player is not
