    I am from chennai. And I do remember in my childhood while on my way to school i used to watch many ladies in my neighbourhood drawing kolam. Some used a big white chalk and some used A cup full of white powder. I had to carefully walk in jumping here and there just to avoid stepping on their drawn Kolams. And me and my sister would take a special walk in the neighbourhood during pongal and new year days just to see the special coloured Rangoli with messages wishing Happy Pongal.
    Truely great.😊

      @@TimelessWisdomwithAparna yea sure why dont you make a video on significance of Namaste namaskar, Namadkaram, or Vanakkam(in Tamil). The only Non Touching greeting Gesture practised from Ancient India. During This time of Pandemic where people are avoiding handshakes and practising social distancing i think this topic will draw many users attention.

    thank you for informing us about the history. I've been drawn to the artistic design and I have always loved mandalas. I didnt know that they were similar or tied to religious beliefs.

      Hi, I'm a Filipino. Is it ok to make rangoli even if I'm not Indian? When I watch videos about rangoli it makes me calm and it relaxes me. So I really want to try to make one. Is it ok?

    Nicely explained ...In telugu it is called Rangavalli... when women doing this she need to use both thumb and point finger .kind of a gyana mudra like how a Mala rotate witj two fingers....and an accupressure it helps.greatly to do House chores.in an effortless way and healthy ..and best excercise the morning squat position will prevent the back pain for entire day...and in the ancient times people used cow dung as platform to draw this rangoli and we know how cow dung helps us to prevent any disease..No cracking foot if the person stays longer time on it ..and many more ..yet we need to de code..All the best for the journey

      Wow, nice explaintation~ but I am wondering how people walk through the entrance where the Rangoli is drawn on the floor...no cracking foot

    • @TimelessWisdomwithAparna
      @TimelessWisdomwithAparna  Před 3 lety

      There is a way/floor space separately maintained without the rangoli which is meant to pass by and walk.

    very interesting. Do different colours have different meaning? I struggle to research this information.

    • @TimelessWisdomwithAparna
      @TimelessWisdomwithAparna  Před 3 lety

      Thank you!🙂 Yes, different colours do give out different vibrations. Hot colours like red & orange instantly give a strong and powerful vibe whereas cool colours like blue and shades of green give subtle and peaceful vibes. A well balanced combinations of colours will naturally look appealing and give out great combination of energies.👍🙂
