I think the swords on this Deadpool figure are more realistic then the full length katanas. Simple fact is if you're going to try to dual wield swords, you're going to want the blade length only has long as your arm and a hand and a half long at the most in handle. That way you don't accidentally clash your swords together in mid combat or get tripped up on your handles.

Yes but they're not katanas. They are called ninjato swords that are made for more tactical use. Search it up. Its pretty cool.😊👍
Considering how hard it is to find any Deadpool figures, I guess my favorite will be the one I actually have in hand.

Lol yup this is the 1st Deadpool figure I've found out in the wild.
Not the biggest Deadpool fan though, so I didn't mind missing out on the other ones, but I do prefer the way this 1 looks to the previous "modern" look.
The wrist, ankle and band around his neck look seamless and it all comes together much better on this sculpt IMO.
I like the X-Force Deadpool's sculpt more because the chest and shoulders are more broad, especially with the straps and neck collar, it adds an extra "thickness" to the torso of the figure. You don't really get the same appeal from the Juggernaut wave Deadpool because he has wrist gauntlets and leg greaves, so the entire sculpt is more uniform, instead of having the bulk centered at the neck and torso like the X-Force one. Idk, I guess I'm more familiar with the some of the old art styles of Deadpool where there were exaggerated muscles and every part of his body.
I like the stocky Ed McGinnis style deadpool. So I like the Bucky cap body, but I don't like the modern "baseball pads on his shins and forearms" costume. So I guess I'll try to paint a xforce deadpool. I do wish that one had a butterfly joint.
This Deadpool is really doing it for me and I vastly prefer it over the Juggernaut wave Deadpool. I just think it looks great and I guess I got one that doesn't appear to have any QC issues (such as the warped sheath opening). The only thing I didn't like about this figure is the fact that Hasbro wouldn't include even one extra pair of hands/fists given that it doesn't have any other accessories. However, someone tipped me off that the Scarlet Spider hands (he came with 3 pairs) works on this Deadpool, and after trying it, I found it to work well enough. He certainly looks a lot better wearing fists when the swords are stowed.
I don't know if this is the best Deadpool figure ever, but subjectively, I certainly like it a lot and it is probably at the top of the list for me.

I just got him at my local comic con and the one thing that I am disappointed with is that he doesn’t come with interchangeable hands

What grinds my gears is that Hasbro can’t figure it out ball peg hips, other companies figured it out like Mattel or Bandai America to make ball peg hips go out to the side all the way, but Hasbro can’t and thats a big problem to me.
Kevin Varela Honestly, I think we should have the hinged ball peg hips like the ones that import figures like sh figuarts so we can drop the hip down and it would get rid of that cut joint for the thigh swivel. But that would cost way to much for Hasbro to implement so this is the best we have right now technically.

I just want a classic Deadpool on Bucky Cap. Pretty much just the Xforce Deadpool but red. I like the smoothness the Marvel Now Deadpool is a bit too dark with the black legs and dark reds. It looks too chunky with the boots and gauntlets. This one is just kind of weird to look at. Great colors but not the right body.
I agree. I just want an Ed McGinnis style super chunky deadpool like from his first solo series.

I like this mold for Deadpool, but I'm the kind of crazy weirdo that wants a deadpool made on the Pizza Spidey mold. It's a modern figure with his classic costume, I feel like anyone who buys this Deadpool also bought the Juggernaut wave deadpool, (which I'm betting was marvel's logic too) so you can just use the cool accessories from that release.

I like the articulation and slimer stature of this figure but i also like the accessories holster and harness, arm and shin guards of the juggernaut wave one

Very tempting, haven't bought a deadpool since the toybiz which seemed like a great figure at the time.
This guy looks pretty damn awesome with the submachine guns from the ToyBiz Deadpool (that I no longer have). I'm happy with the figure, but it's probably because I have so many spare weapons from other cannibalized figures that I can make up for the low accessory count.

i think its pretty good in terms of articulation and i like the paint scheme alot more, the only thing i dont like is the head but it is faithful to rob liefeld
Those are Wakizashi I'm fairly sure, which is basically a short sword katana.
Wakizashi have a curved blade, so these are ninjato. No curve.

Prince Darwin they're definitely too long to be tantos, I said Wakizashi because he's most often depicted with katana so it's the most likely conclusion. Hasbro likely didn't even put as much effort into this as compared to what we're even discussing now and just threw together blade without any research.
I'm almost positive those are definitely ninja-to swords. The blade and tsuba shape is right and if scaled to Deadpool's 6'2" size if he were real, the blade should measure between 19 and 22.5 inches like a true ninja-to.
He actually does have the deadpool logo on his belt not long after his first appearance. He uses it a bunch as a teleporter in his first ongoing solo series.

AnthonysCustoms true, but still it was part of his look in the 90s so I think it’s fair they decided to include it. Don’t think they had to be beholden to exactly how he’s drawn in New Mutants 98 to create his classic outfit.
I wonder if the holster, belt, and katana holders from Juggernaut Deadpool will work on this one.
I'm gonna grab a scaled down hot toys movie head off Ebay, paint it and put it on this, I'll also grab some hand guns and there, a good deadpool figure
The sword sheath on mine is fine.
I still think this Deadpool is like a middle between the revoltech DP and Marvel Now DP, with better articulation than the Juggernaut Deadpool and better looking than the revoltech one. Since I already got the old BAF Deadpool, so I don't have much of an issue with lack of accessories on this one.
It appears to me that it is a throwback to the original toybiz deadpool figure. All the way down to his webgear, swords(both style and size), and paintjob.
Which would also explain his lack of gun. The original didn't include one either...

I feel like this has a classic Deadpool design with modern Deadpool proportions. Newer Deadpool isn't built like a bodybuilder he has more of a lean fighters physique which suits his character better. But if they wanted to mimic the first appearance design then yeah he should be bigger. Overall I'm still happy to own the figure and don't mind a mix of the old and new!

I agree with everything you said. and having no guns on him is unforgivable but in a way it's better than Hasbro with their half ass, poorly painted and executed, it doesn't even exist in the real world guns. And those fists should've been clenched too if you're not gonna give us guns.

i just got this fig in yesterday and i am god awful scared to put any of the previous guns in his hands, due to the fact that the plastic isn't really that soft and even if it were id be worried about warping the hands to a point where he cannot grip his daggers tightly as they can out of package.. so yea disappointing on the gun front but still love posing him.

It's just like you said it's a subjective review I personally preferred the new mold on the new Deadpool due to the fact the buchycap mold was way too big it made him look like an Arnold Schwarzenegger Deadpool Deadpool was never was never huge like Captain America, in his first appearance he was never huge like that nor did he ever get super huge like that and that's my subjective opinion now don't get me wrong I do like the X-Force Deadpool body mold there's nothing wrong with it just I believe that this mold suits the realization better which really wasn't bodybuilder huge plus love the fact that they went with the classic look of Deadpool. I agree with you lack of accessories is frustrating. Great opinionative review though.

unless you heat it enough to "melt" the plastic or stretch it enough that it actually tears the material (at a molecular level) it wont make a different. it might sit different for a while but itll go back the way it was molded eventually.
I'm pretty sure when I did my storm shadow I heated the harness enough it was stretched forever.That was the 1st deadpool though.Might be a different density of material?

I have a bootleg mezco deadpool and the revoltech deadpool. Is this guy worth picking up then? I hate the revoltech one but the Mezco aint bad. Honestly, i wouldnt recommend bootleg Mezco figures unless the original is super expensive because his pegs on his hands broke so I had to super glue them back on.

Dude, your sheath is just defective, it wasn't purposely sculpted that way. I have two of this figure and both sides of both the sheaths are perfectly level and square.
