I think that you should be able to get random customization parts in packs, maybe they could put it at the end of the battle-pass to actually make it worth grinding, I mean that actually might be where it's at.

Yeah. In the past when people would say that to things like recolor events, I would just ignore it, but this time I really do think its going to kill the game.

Same thing can be said with these unique death boxes that u get for buying the entire universal heirloom store, theres a lot of people who got it .. Respawn/EA making a lot of money and dont care as long as the papers keep coming in

Fortnite has custom items for then less then $10 bucks. this is way to expensive for a lack of character animations nothing about these are unique when it comes to the animations. I preferred when the different legends and their qualities are displayed in their animations and heirloom.

i remember when heirlooms were first introduced with collection events, everyone thought it was a scam, it was and still is.
they waited for us to get used the insane price for 1 dumb in game melee weapon that only looks cool, and now they're doing the same shit again but they basically get to recycle the same shit forever.
i never ever liked the concept of heirlooms, its stupid how much they expect people to pay for it when you really think about it.
at least u are guaranteed an heirloom at 500 packs if not before then for free i got shards at level 400 still haven't used them at 475

This would be a REALLY cool idea that we would all enjoy if they took a couple of zeros off of the price.
I just personally find it unfair that us lower income class gamers can no longer get the stuff that looks nice do to just how much in real bills we have to grind for. Like i dont make enough to spend the same price on one of my bills to spend on 1 "customizable" item that really doesnt have that much customization to it. Doing legend specific heirlooms were fine. But now apex is introducing a very addictive problem that alot of people struggle with not to mention children play this game. I for one can say with confidence that no parent would like that little jimmy is participating in gambling activities such as events.
Dont feel bad I'm not low income I own a company and I would never buy this crap I do have 7 heirlooms from earlier seasons but never again tbh, the same people buying this dont own a house, still pay car payments, or dont buy gym memberships its really just bad choices like people at Casinos.

@@saularmendariz1341 EA really forgets that a good portion of Apex playerbase are kids without income and people that play without spending anything because is a free to play game and majority of us with disposable income would much rather drop 700+ on multiple other things rather than gambling for ugly skins and a heirloom with boring customisation.

Listen gold player you need to just get a Nintendo Switch because just like my 2 year old you can’t handle games like this or even get good to justify why you need to complain in the first place. I have all heirlooms and artifacts I’m also 20x pred and when the game is dead oh well. Brother you are too invested in something you’re not good at like others.

So its not an heirloom but neither are Mythic skins which you can buy with Shards. Would this still give the possibility for Artifacts (which are also Mythic rarity) to be purchasable with shards?
Legit to make this stop, just don’t buy anything from this event and that will hurt EA and let them know that this gambling thing is not it.
Apex content creators are assholes who help drive this problem by hyping up every shitty event and a large portion of the players are brainless fucking microtransaction slaves. This will never be fixed until the next time apex threatens to die out and Respawn is forced to bring back normalcy (as if 130+ for a single melee was ever normal) to fix it.

I hope only a few people get this heirloom if not none, the final fantasy one kinda made sense but heirlooms done like this outside of collabs don’t seem worth it at all I’d rather have character specific heirlooms and events.
Imagine opening 500 packs on your free account eventually and what you get are Artifact shards instead of Heirloom shards, man... the pain

I bought a few packs to try my luck,got stickers and im done with this event.And with this,my spendings on this game are finished.
The reason I like heirlooms is because of the personailty to them, and how they're unique to each legend. Artifacts are cool, but it makes it kinda boring since they're just a meele weapon.

The customizable weapon concept should be cool and fun. But if the only way to get new parts is to shell out $300 for each, that's pretty awful. Plus, if it really only has like 3 customizable parts or whatever, then it's not really worthwhile.

On top of these events we get a battlepass that is mostly trash stuff nobody ever uses.
Really cant complain about the battlepass, i spent 10€ once and have had the battlepass for 3 years because you can always rebuy it with the coins you get from it

I’m genuinely considering quitting. Respawn isn’t Respawn, anymore. This is so greedy and amidst the hacker controversy… I’ve been playing since the game released but I’m so sad to see how greedy Respawn has gotten. Idk maybe I’m just getting to old for gaming or something…😢
I just quit around a month or so before this stuff even was shown. I saw this, and I was fighting against preds in gold. And I finally stepped away. Honestly, I enjoyed the time I had in the game, and i made a few friends. But EAs greed is and will completely kill this game. The cheating deal for the Pro League event was also quite embarrassing

To be fair a heirloom use to be rare. Unique to a legend and nice to see. These universal heirlooms are a way to make things less unique. Once all legends have their own, yes add whatever but why lose focus on currents legends.
If they had just released legend specific heirlooms then started doing this maybe id be invested

These artifact daggers to me are stupid they have no ties to any legends personality or to any lore and to me that’s why ppl want heirlooms because they pertain to a specific legend they main or they have some connection to, EA could have added more heirlooms for each legend or to make it easier added a new shop for heirlooms and prestige skins where you can add finishers, customize current heirlooms/ prestige skins and make them uniquely your own and charge for heirloom / prestige skin cosmetics instead they shot themselves in the foot by creating dumb Recolors and now these weird gun blade whatever this is EA really has no business sense they are so blinded by their own bs they can’t seem to make financial moves that make sense and keep their customers engaged and wanting to spend more I really hope this event makes them no money so they can finally get their heads out of their ass and listen to what the customers actually want
the ONLY way i see this being """good"" is if these "artifact shards" (if they were to go with a system like that) allow you to craft the base ones and have a guaranteed frop every 150 packs or so (independent of heirloom shards)

To be honest they should add the ability to refund heirlooms once per account, I mean, imagine they release a new heirloom which is, design wise, made to be used with prestige skins (Like rev's new scythe and prestige skin) or maybe the legend got reworked and is no longer your favourite, is it your fault that the character got reworked?, what about the original heirlooms? it doesn't fit with any skin NOT EVEN the original skin anymore, it's just obsolete pretty much and atm the only way to get what you want is to buy 1000 apex packs to get a matching kit which... VERY FEW will do, so it feels useless even trying to reach them anymore, especially when they are going to be obsolete and non-fitting in a few months... Not even considering how some people may have bought the wrong one by accident. Why bother trying to reach something, grind it for 2000 hours, only for it to be trashed by EA in 2 months??? I refuse to be a part of that.
A FUCKING GREED! I have mirage's Heirloom. I bought it as a way to "force myself to play mirage more" never worked. Same with revenant. I don't enjoy new revenant and I want to refund his heirloom too, because I think that new revenant is an unskilled "filler movement character" now, and honestly makes me sad. He was my first character to get over 1k kills on and 20 kills 4k damage badges on, and to think that I don't event want to touch him with a 10ft pole right now is just sad to me.
they are not heirlooms, they are artifacts and the problem with them is the price, its not that its a 700 dollars to fully customize, characters have legendary skins and if you want to have access to any of it you need to do what spend money, and to collect them cost far more than 700, everything in our lives that we pay for is a higher price than the value of the product.

The fact that they can change the inspect animations on Heirlooms after you spent TONS of money on them is ridiculous. Adding more animations is not the issue, but changing Wraith's kunai spin animation without the option to use the old animation is unfair. #bringbacktheoldkunaispin

This is a l on EA they loved shooting themselves in the foot. I wish I can spend my legend tokens to get the artifact. I have almost 300k and no where to spend them. I think they need to get rid of them.

This just makes me angry, as someone who has come to apex late. Only playing since season 12. This is very frustrating. Even I know that this is just EA having so greedy. I truly believe this will kill apex if they don’t change the way they’re doing this or make it MUCH cheaper.

I swear I was watching a video of his talking about the new legend and new season, and the thumbnail of the video showed a pic of the legend and had a red background with a title in the thumbnail labeled "Multiverse" ... I swear on my life I seen this video on my feed for days and I finally was watching a part of the video and had to stop before half way thru to do something and then came back ALOT later, after several videos and tried to finish it, and couldnt find it ANYWHERE.. Not on this channel, in my watch history or even when searched for.. But someone has had to seen it too.. I cant be imagining this 😵💫😵🧐🤯 . I can only come to the conclusion that it got deleted or something..

It's sad because I really think Artifacts are not a bad idea at all, they are kinda cool to be fair. But when you see the economic aspect of them, and how they plan to "replace" heirlooms, it's clearly a horrible decission.

Nothing in this game is worth more than the standard heirlooms. Even those are hit and miss. But the money needed for an artifact is absurd and egregious.
at least make a system where there is some sort of heirloom shard converter that converts it to artifact shards. I believe that is more fair for those who have heirloom shards
