I too was one of the lucky receivers of something Phil and Caroline found! They had found a piece of bottle that had the letters LARK on it and since that's my name, I asked to purchase it, but of course they wouldn't sell it, they gave it to me😊 I was beyond thrilled!!!! We never say never, but have to be careful these days, so long walks up rivers in remote places isn't on the agenda and finding safe sites that we can visit isn't easy. That jug was so worthy of fixing, since you had all the pieces, but I had also visualised a little scene being created within the main part. You made a really good job of the restoration though. It was so generous of you to have donated that cod bottle to Oliver and you're right... people should come first and without people there would be no cod bottles anyway. And who could or would argue with saving Manky? He's a major star of your channel and loved by us all!
That's a great suggestion, and one I may use, as I'm sure I have a few items beyond repair. Seeing Oliver's face was truly priceless and hopefully it will encourage and inspire him in his collecting. And yes, Manky is definitely the star ⭐🐼⭐ Thanks for watching, and Happy New Year 💥🤠🙂🐼💥

That little fella Manky is lucky, looks like he has been either to Spain or Mexico on holiday.
That find of the Esso bottle was quite a find, its almost as if you were destined to find it, the chances of that bottle being in a dump and emerging intact.
The Stoneware flagon was my favourite, there is something about the bottles and jars they made years ago, the effort of design and manufacture just to hold a product.
Are you planning any expeditions looking for items in the future?
I started bottle hunting when COVID started, but my experience is we dont seem to have the accessible dump sites in South Wales that they enjoy in other parts.

Yes Paul, Manky does like to travel and he loves dressing up too ⭐🐼⭐ That Esso bottle was an incredible and very lucky find, but you're right, we have made our best finds in Yorkshire not Wales. The Flagon is gorgeous. Ive seen guys in the states dig whiskey flagons from tips but that one is certainly amongst the best. So sad it was damaged but great you fixed it. 😊

Hi mate do you still think it's worth mudlarking the river at the old Roman bridge in Swansea?
We've not been back ourselves, and there weren't many finds where we were, but there must be a site up stream somewhere to have found what we did. Hope you have better luck than us if you do check it out. Happy New Year 💥🤠🙂🐼💥
