It should work in both modes. If you are playing games like Fortnite there is aim assist. Depends on the game

I haven't test the Razer one. However this G8 model definitely feels very good in the hands. If you have an Xbox Series S/X controller, it feels almost identical

I have used the Direwolf 2 and Cyclone Pro, both are really really good. You won't go wrong with either one, as for the 8bitdo- i haven't tested it
