HGTV needs to listen to the audience, watching The El Moussa’s is not a favorable show to watch. HGTV is beating a dead horse. Everybody loves watching Tarek and Christina and now it’s over. Don’t try convincing US that the El Moussa’s would be as good as Flip or Flop with Tarek and Christina.
I love these two together❤❤❤ So down-to-earth and just humble.
What I see it’s how good, relax and happy is Tarek. Actually his eyes reflect a real happiness. A big respect for Heather to accept and recognize her limits about designing and taken a good designer. She has a good tast and for what I see she’s teachable. About expressing her emotions maybe is a little to “Barbie” but it’s the tv show trend. In fact they are a good team and it’s not easy for Heather to build her own stile in this program when we are so familiar with Christina. I wish her succes.
I remember her how stupid she behave in Selling Sunset when Amanda was giving her advice....you will Never be as good asCristina not even close...I bet Tarek knows that

Well, she was responsible for it and made the final decision. And let's be honest, Christina was a great designer (in terms of their TV show together), but Heather is not a designer. So I think to hire a designer is actually a good decision to continue this format like HGTV wants to.

I'd love to see Christina come to where I live and do justice by an antebellum mansion. That's out of her capability.
Exactly… But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have veto power. I think she has good taste. She’s in real estate and has seen a lot of high-end homes. I think her ideas are good, like the bonus room into a master suite. I think Tarik is a lot happier. Give her a shot. She seems like a nice person.

I miss seeing the actual design of the houses now that they've hired a designer to do what was once Christina's role and contribution. I'd give cold hard cash to see Heather, and Tarek, flip a hoarder house with tons of issues like the ones on Flip or Flop. I'd like to see how it goes.

Just because she didn’t pick the tiny details doesn’t mean she didn’t design it on the grand scale. Who thought of the master bedroom idea from the bonus room? This is one of the few episodes where they actually pay and bring in a designer too

It’s funny how Tarek acts like a teenager and not a grown man flipper. Plus the budget he gives Heather is a lot more than what Christina was given. Plus Christina did her design from her head and experience, instead of Tarek has to pay a designer that picks everything out. So Heather really doesn’t do anything cause I’m sure Tarek gave her advice before the show. Not happy with Heather doing this.

No dinning room? Living areas are limited. And once again, grey, grey, white. Bathrooms and bedrooms are nice enough.
There was a dining room but it wasn’t separate. If that’s what you mean.
Why are there never televisions in the staging? Show me a family home with no tv sets. And the other non-negotiable... the toilet! I had the rare experience of getting to use a warm toilet and floor during the winter at a motel I stayed at. Was awesome! I like the partial wall by the toilet... Gives a bit of extra privacy for when you're sharing the space. Aren't there luxury johns? I'd like to see designers do something with the garages too. If I ever have big money, I'd want an intercom and music system in the house.

Nice job! Just one idea...how about a sculptural, black mantel above the fireplace? It would play off of the stair railings and the light fixture, but be plain enough not to interfere with any art above it. Do wish we could have seen the pool area. Thanks!

Tarek always fought Christina in her design and always wanted her to stay in a small budget but gives Heather a $200k budget!! Really. Such crap. Heather doesn’t even design anything just stands there with her annoying laugh. She acts too much like a teenager when she’s a grown woman with a baby.
Agree. I found Christina's voice irritating but Heather's voice is beyond irritating. Such a dumbed-down influencer style show.
Why does her first flip look better than her own home
Heather is not a designer, she is a real estate broker and she can sell houses that’s what she brings to the table. She’s not pretending to know it all .

this shade of gray is depressing, especially the fireplace... everything is too dull, without a twist. Even the kitchen backsplash is just white subway tile... And those Wows of them look fake... what's there to admire? And about the layout: the parents' bedroom was on the first floor, and she took it and moved it upstairs ... I don't think it's convenient. Could just add another toilet downstairs for guests.
She may make Tarek happy. She should enjoy her life without trying to be Christina. Big mistake trying to replicate Flip or Flop. I wish them the best, but she is out of her league .

I absolutely HATE this trend of replacing older vertical spindles on staircases with horizontal bars. They are a MAJOR hazard for small children because it encourages them to climb up and potentially have a fall.
Well to me that’s a parents job to teach their kids not to climb them. Also I’ve constantly seen kids try to push their heads through the vertical bars all the time so either way it would be a “hazard” for kids.

Love it, ❤ a dream house, and yes it's better to have a primary bedroom with that beautiful bathroom. I don't think Heather stand out in terms of taste or design but she knows what the buyers likes and it is safe and better than the last black cabin of her parents. I still find it weird tarek compliment and agreeing on everything but also why would he dislike the end result?!! He doesn't flip cheap houses anymore.
She doesn't have any interior design ideas at the top of her head unlike Christina, who really has a good sense when it comes to design and knows her stuff. I don't understand why they need output from other designers. Isn't that suppose to be her job? Guess that's how hey get along, she's not a professional competition to him.

This show is just about Tarek and Heather complimenting Heather. Then there's some reality TV bits about how great their life is.
Also, style is pretty repititive: grey, white, black, and gold. And staging is empty so ends up looking cold and not hitting the mark.
