    jesus fucking christ batman begins had horrible camera work for the fight scenes... A combination of shaky cam and super fast cutting? that might have worked for the first scene but it was shit for everything else. Gladly the dark knight learned from its mistake and made its fight scenes in much longer takes and the choreography was pretty solid. Then the Dark Knight Rises fucked it up again, not with bad camera work, just flat out BAD choreography. Several instances of bad guys just waiting to get hit in the face instead of just SHOOTING batman when there's a clear opening. The first bane fight was passable, batman's movements still looked hella awkward. The last bane fight was just all around bad and not fluid at all

      Spencer Malley yeah as i just said, that is complete bullshit. Lol i just rewatched it, and within the first 3 seconds, the two guys in front of batman have all the time in the world to shoot him dead. They're both armed with automatic weapons, and if the one on the left couldn't get a good shot off (which is bullshit from the angle he's at, he has plenty of room), the guy on the right has an enormous opening. And that's not even including the several times afterwards in which batman could have been shot. They are literally WAITING to be get punched in the face. This is almost the defintion of terrible choreography.

    This Bruce was trained by the league of assassins yet fights like a random street brawler. Keaton and Kilmer’s Bruce’s fight with great skills all the time in those films and the fights looked fun. All I see in these films are slow punches, weird kicks, and extras falling over.

      Bale could easily fight various groups of fighters from 6 to 10 members.

      Keaton couldn't fight very well, in 89 all the enemies attack him from the front, batman doesn't do much, batman 89 and returns are very good movies but the fights aren't very good, keaton only throws punches at the joker In the final fight, no kicks or elbows or heads, just fists and little else.
      in 89 a thug jumps at him and keaton knocks him out by literally touching his foot and he dies, is this better for you? leave nostalgia aside.
      in returns in the scene of the fat man keaton faces a thug who jumps next to him and stands waiting for keaton to throw him without moving.
      and Kilmer only faced brute thugs who screamed when they went on the attack and little else, kilmer moves similar to bale in begins but not like bale in rises (where it is his best moment in hand-to-hand combat)

    I like the swat fight in the Dark knight waaaay more than the warehouse scene in bvs, because in the swat fight, batman uses tactis and skills to save countless slaves from being shot by the police, stops the joker and saves Two boats full of people WHILE causing zero deaths. The warehouse scene is all about batman snapping arms, cracking skulls, stabbing, shooting, exploding and murdering henchmen with a soundtrack going: "BWAAAM BWAAAAAM BWAAAAAAAAM"
    Now don't get me wrong, i love the Dark knight returns and i know ben Affleck's batman is kind of based on the batman in that comic, but the reason he was so violent in that story was because he was old and crazy, while batfleck is only 45.

    It’s as if the henchman don’t know how to fire their guns. They’ve had plenty of opportunities to shoot but all they did was hold them and wait for Batman to disarm them.

      +iRoCk97 Batman has never moved like Daredevil, doing crazy flips, jumps, high flying spinning kicks and dodging bullets, not in the comics, not in the animated series or any of the films. Batman is a large 200+ pound man, and wouldn't look convincing doing Daredevil's stunts. While the fight choreography in the Nolan trilogy are merely passable, it's still out of place to compare them with Daredevil when Batman has never fought like that in any medium.

      @windowsVD Před 8 lety +12

      Nono Pearson Which comics has Batman spinning up and down to dodge bullets?! In most of the comics, he's been described as a large 200+ pound man, most notably in Frank Miller's comics, he has never moved with the same agility as Daredevil, at least not without the help of gadgets.

    A lot of people are commenting on how he fights too slow but the dark knight trilogy is supposed to be a realistic adaptation of the character, batflecks fight scenes are so fucking badass but equally unrealistic, the dark knight uses real martial arts and fighting techniques so for the most part this is how a trained fighter would fight. Sure it’s not as badass as let’s say Batman v Superman or some fights in the MCU but it is more realistic

      What's realism got to do with the awful editing and shaky cam?

      None of these movies are realistic and the fighting style they use in the trilogy (kesi) is terribly ineffective in real life:

      I liked BvS and mos but Tdk trilogy is much better. Sure BvS and man of steel may have better fight scenes, but bale's batman was a more realistic batman and Ben affleck was batman straight from the comics. And I hate how everyone says that the batman vs babe fight is unrealistic. You want an unrealistic fight? Look at superman vs General Zod. Superman had NO fighting experience whatsoever and he somehow won against a man who was bred for the sole purpose of being a warrior. Take the batman and bane fight and replace batman with superman and bane with Zod, and that would be what happened to superman in that fight.

    • @thejoker3644
      @thejoker3644 Před 7 lety +2

      Canaan B Bale's batman fighting was not realistic. The reason why all of you say its realistic is because you don't see all those flips and whatnot. But to martial artists, the technique and effectiveness of it matters a lot too. And a lot of moves are ineffective, impractical and ugly in the fights. The speed, when batman attacks, a lot of you say its realistic too because its the same speed as UFC. In a street fight, the techniques will be the same, but the fight will be faster paced. Its not just the bane vs batman, its almost 90% of the fights. Batfleck was unrealistic, but the moves actually work like the judo throw and its actually effective and practical. I can give you some examples if you like

      like i said before, it's the Keysi method. i've heard some people say it works and some people say it doesn't. it all depends on the enemies you're fighting and the style they use.

    The director complitelly dont understand how to shoot the fights. Only in the third movie he understand that he need to use wide angle.
