"But I'm in the trees, I'm in the breeze" part is so haunting it gives me shivers. Such a talented songwriter, especially since this song had a target and is not just another page of her diary like the others.
Being able to write about yourself is an incredible talent, but to be able to do this so amazingly about a character and a story is actually insane?

This song literally describes Lucy Gray after she found out who Snow really was. I wish this song wasn’t just in the credits. Olivia’s voice with this song is incredible.

she totally embodied the effect Lucy gray has on snow.
My favorite part is 3:00 when she sings her last “you can’t” and the harmonies intensify, the music reaches a crescendo, then quickly fades away. I just think it’s so beautiful, and harmonies are stunning.

This is one of those songs where just the sound of it makes you emotional. Especially after seeing the movie, this song perfectly describes Lucy Gray and the emotion you feel for her character when you realize Lucy deserved better and she realized that too at the same time. I think this song perfectly conveys Lucy Gray's pov.
I'm late to the whole Olivia thing, because I thought she was gonna be like every other female popstar lately, but I've realized she writes music that I would've listened to in high school, lol, mid to late 90s, I was hugely into grunge and teen angst stuff with a bunch of trip hop thrown in at the time.
You’ll love her Guts album. Has all sorts of 90s-2000s grunge/punk rock. Sour has more ballads.

I absolutely love how this song is just saying “now you’ll never get rid of me”, my favorite version on how i see the backstory of this song, hunger games or not, is like her former lover murdered her because they couldn’t get over eachother and kept seeing eachother and this in his mind was the only way to get rid of her, so he killed her. But she’s like nope. You will see me everywhere, in the trees, in the breeze, and you cannot escape the guilt of what you’ve done. You can’t catch me now.

yeah those are the same people who hate on her and cant accept the fact that she is successful. But those haters are necessary for her to stay relevant and become even more famous. No matter what she does, they will hate on her no matter what which is fine. Olivia is really destined to be great. Just ignore the haters, some of them are paid by music companies bec their talent is not as succesful or fandoms that are threatened by her popularity.
