Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that our of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...

Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

1. Fladry -basically putting red flags up around an area to deter wolves and coyotes. They are wary of the flapping movements the flags make, and tend not to come close
2. Loud Noises/Noisemakers
Shooting a gun at the ground or banging pans/anything else that makes a loud noise terrifies a wolf or a coyote
3. Flashing Lights. Putting bright motion sensing lights around livestock will scare wolves and coyotes away, as they prefer darkness and it makes them feel exposed
I know a lot more about wolves than coyotes, but these methods work for both animals, and none of them result in the animal dying.

I understand that you don't like to see predator animals handled in such a way but have you ever see a coyote kill a baby calf right after birth. Your ideas seem like something that a college professor who owns 0 land and 0 cattle would come up with...
1) Fladry - awesome idea if you own 1 acre of land and 3 cows. What about ranchers that own hundreds and thousands of acres. 1000 flags only equals 1 per acre if you own a thousand acres. It would also have to be a very large flag to make noise that loud. Who's going to and who would install 1000 huge flags on their land. Cute idea but laughable...
2) Loud noises- not only will constant loud bangs keep away predators but it will keep your cattle on their feet and anxious/nervous 100 percent of the time. They will eventually get sick and die from exhaustion. Laughable idea...
3) See number 2 - except Coyote aren't afraid of lights. Hunters call in coyotes with bright LED lights all the time. Laughable idea...
Again, I know you like predator animals but people have the right to protect their cattle... Do you have a idea more ideas to share?

Can someone explain why they are killing those animals?
They are very invasive creatures and kill cattle with packs, also very overpopulated.
Some people kill for sport. Some people need to protect their live stock or themselves.
For me I just laugh when they come through our camp searching for food while we sleep 😂
