Maharaja Ranjit issued two coin coins. One was inscripted as Akal sahay Guru nanak ji and 2nd one was Akal devki nandan ji. He used sahay with guru nanak means blessings of akal. But in 2nd coin he says Devkinandan is Akal. Both coins r in british museum.

Sikkhism or sikkhi as they say is truly a exceptional dharma full of inter personality, knowledge, oneness, indifference and attachment. Sikkhi is not a branch of Hinduism but you can say very closely related to Hinduism in many aspects. Both modern day Hindus and Sikhs failed to understand this, modern day Sikhs wants to erase everything which is related to Hinduism within sikkhi from Hari, Vishu, Ram, Devi (very similar how Muslims do with Jesus by retrospectively convert Jesus into a prophet of Allah) and modern Hindus wants to consume everything of sikkhi through larger umbrella of sanatan dharma or Hinduism. Both are so wrong fundamentally that everything comes from it has reduced to towadi Maa di pen di and oye khalistaani binary.

There are commonalities and differences in Hinduism and Sikhism - " The Sikh scriptures use Hindu terminology, with references to the Vedas, and the names of gods and goddesses in Hindu bhakti movement traditions, such as Vishnu, Shiva, Brahma, Parvati, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Rama, Krishna, but not to worship. It also refers to the spiritual concepts in Hinduism (Ishvara, Bhagavan, Brahman) and the concept of God in Islam (Allah) to assert that these are just "alternate names for the Almighty One"."

lol...actually you just trying to say sikhs are hindus ....ANSWER IS NO WE ARE TATTLY DIFFRENT ... listen this vedio , evry second and every minute .... BTW Gurbani begins with the word Allah (Awl Allah Noor Upaya) and now MUSLIM will say SIKHS ARE Muslim because the first word of Gurbani is Allah, and it is written in Gurbani (Allah ki kar bandhi) But here it means come and worship God,
In Gurubani, the Gurus clearly said that (I am neither a Hindu nor a Muslim, the village will be completed by Allah Ram) here the Gurus clearly said that neither such a Hindu nor a Muslim , THEY WORSHIP God whom the Muslims call Allah, and the Hindu Ram. Ek Onkar means (God is one).

Brother first of all whole community should come to accept your proposal this can be done by awareness by explaining Geeta shaloks like Swami Vivekananda Did once we need to make aware our people we need more scholars in every religion our dharms are very unique in itselfs its a famous quote jo grantha nu parde ne oh kde larde nhi…. Means who reed holy books never fight against each other by doing so awareness will increase and people will think to release temples and todays Gurudwaras from politics too then this will happen!!!! Brother gurudwaras are also today under politicians not under normal sikhs this all will take a real awareness of our dharmas in which Hindu and Sikhs are beautiful in their own way and this will happen some day for sure!!!

The Golden Temple is an architecture wonder. Like many of the architecture wonders in India how many Indians have the skills today? throughout Asia once the center of "wonders" Why has Central Asia not concentrated on global knowledge, skills, sciences instead of radical faith e.g. Islam(putting sheets on women, this evil was not the case at the beginning). Sikhs can learn what not to do from Central Asia. The original believe system of India was scientific based on knowledge. All the successful civilizations today are the ones with "educated" freedom for women and based on global knowledge. All beautiful structures today and across the world where women do not have "educated" freedom are in the hands of corrupt uneducated men. India needs the Indian billionaires to have the same higher mindset to built "wonders" inspiration for next generations like M. Ambani who built the cultural center in Mumbai. Go around the world, bring simple things to beautify India e.g. different flowers, the city streets in India should have flowers, palm trees. Clean up India, make it beautiful again.

He said the word Har/Hari means expansive. Yes and the personification of that is Vishnu which is why Vishnu is always depicted as Blue, the Expansive blue sky. Which is why Vishnu is symbolic of Brahman, the all encompassing, expansive, everythingness. In Scripture Hari always refers to Vishnu. Now it depends on what our understanding of what Vishnu is/means. As all encompassing Brahman it is an experiential truth. For those not into yoga meditation it’s good to have a symbolic form as Vishnu/MahaVishnu etc. Vishnu is therefore Paramatman. Now some people understand that as ‘God’. Etymologically Param means foremost and Atman means self. Or ‘Overself’. Therefore when people say they experienced god, it implies they experienced something other than ‘self’ which misses the point entirely. The aim is always to know the self never to know ‘God’ that is an abrahamic notion which people get confused with. The method is always ‘Enquiry’ an investigation into. Which is why it truly pays to read up on Hinduism to appreciate the depth of Sikh teachings. Brahma Sutra Sutra 1 as we all know so clearly well, states Athaha Brahma Jignyasaha. And So! An Enquiry into Brahman!
I think our speaker has collated many bits of a jigsaw 🧩 puzzle and now needs to put these together to form a coherent picture. The very fact that the temple is afterall known as Hari Mandir and not Hari Gurdwara should be telling us something. For those really interested I’d strongly recommend going to google images and browsing for:
    1. Baba Shrichand, (son of Nanak)
    2. Guru Hargovind sword
    3. Guru Nanak shailigram/seli topi
    3. Listen to Ugradanti chant by Guru Govind on CZcams
And you might even learn something
My background is from a Sikh family BTW. We are Sikh Hindu which means that our primary identification is as Sikhs but our family surname as it were is Hindu. This means I belong as a brother to the various Schools of Hindu thought, the various Sampradayas etc But our ancestry is exactly the same. In other words whether we appreciate it or not the fact remains we are all Hindus.

And I agree that he and his followers were removed from their prominent position in 'Mainstream Sikhi' by the British who established the so called 'Mainstream Sikh' we think of today.

    ਮੈ ਨ ਗਨੇਸਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਮਨਾਊ ॥
Mai Na Ganesahi Prithama Manaaoo ॥
    ਕਿਸਨ ਬਿਸਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਧਿਆਊ ॥
Kisan Bisan Kabahooaan Na Dhiaaaoo ॥
Means : I do not adore Ganesha in the beginning and also do not mediatate on Krishna and Vishnu.
You must Read First words of Gurbani thats Mool Mantr. It is definition of What is God? It says God is Ajooni means outside circle of life and death.Krishna which you call Hari was born again and again. He cant be Akaal ( God).Harimandr means Door & place of Akaal.
