  • Godafoss Waterfall in Iceland is simply breathtaking!
Landscape Photography - Photographing Iceland Ep #15. I journey to the north of Iceland around Lake Myvatn region. In the afternoon I decided to do a recy at Godafoss Waterfall in preparation for the northern lights. What I wasn't expecting was the amazing sunset!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. This was so lovely and outright astonishing. I really hope I can one day see the Northern Lights for myself. May you keep pursuing this joy and sharing it with others.

Thanks so much for watching. I realised that “one day” was basically the same term for “never”. I finally just did it, I made it happen and I’m so glad I did 🙏

Wow! What an amazing video!!! That northern light image over the waterfall was something else. Outstanding Adrian. This video deserves so much more attention

Thanks so much James. Really appreciate you watching. It's interesting you mentioned the attention. I guess I don't know the ins and out tricks yet of getting people to watch on CZcams. Perhaps CZcams moderators see I have only a handful of subscribers and automatically think it's not worth promoting on feeds etc? I think you too should be getting far more attention on your videos, you're extremely talented, I just don't get it? Yet a video on something like "man gets crushed by elephant" gets 6 million views, perhaps it's a snapshot of what society has become? Focusing on the negative and not the positives and beauty in life.

@@adrianalfordphotography yeah I dont really understand how it works really. There's a lot of very run of the mill photography content that seems to do very well indeed where as videos like this one which are 10x better and unique dont get the same respect. I've concluded its nothing to do with the actual video or quality of photography, its the quirks of the search algorithm. I wouldn't worry about it. This was an absolutely stellar video and I'm sure anyone who watches will fully agree 👍

Wow - what a fabulous experience with the northern lights. I keep hoping one day I might see the Australis ones. I always seem to miss them by a few minutes, or Tassie is clouded over, or I’m knackered. Thanks for sharing the sheer joy of such a moment!

Thanks for watching Micke - it truly was an epic night. What a great way to witness the northern lights for the first time. So freaky you were there at the same time.

Really freaky :) I saw one of your aurora pictures when I googled on "godafoss aurora" and found a picture I recognized. I first thought someone had stolen my picture. I googled a little more and found you. We must have stood next to eachother all afternoon and under the northern lights. Check my instagram: mh_photo.se and scroll down a bit. There you will find a picture during the sunset. It's almost exactly like yours. Same cloud formation and from almost the same location. I have seen a lot of northern lights before, but this was beyond the ordinary. Best regards from Micke in Sweden

Thumbs up ere' Adrian, amazing landscape and plenty of info! Something I always wanted to capture - Northern lights! Great set of photographs of this amazing landscape! It happens when you enjoying the moment and forget to press record!!!! Well worth the images! Many thanks for sharing them ( check your sound levels - some clips while talking were a little low - but still a great vid) :)
