- I have always been a fan (and now defender) of the first Nick All Star Brawl. However, we could all agreed that there was potential left on the table. The sequel manages to bring the series to unimaginable heights. Voice acting, a new story, a fresh arcade mode, diverse kits, a fresh slime mechanic, and so much more makes for one of my favorite "pick up and play" games of the year.

I animated for NASB2! I'm so glad it's getting a good recognition as it's the first big game I've animated for! I did the animations for both Lucy Loud and Grandma Gertie. It feels surreal to see my own animations in a big game and then see youtubbers talking about it! I was a little worried as most of the reviews out there are sponsored by gamemill, but I see your review is not sponsored so that makes it more genuine, I want to see users not holding back on what they think.
And boy did I have to wait such a long time to talk about this!

one of the first things that stuck out to me about the animations on lucy was that "she doesn't do almost any of this in the show, but it's perfectly in character."
That stuck with me even after i wasnt playing. Well done.

The first game feels like a tech demo next to this one, like the level of improvement is kind of incredible all around.
Oh boy I sure hope all my favourite characters have come back for round 2!! I can't wait to play as Sandy Cheeks, Hugh Neutron, Oblina and Powdered Toast Man!!!

Dude, seriously? Those are trash characters, unlike my mains Catdog, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Shredder who will still be playable in the sequel as well!

I was all over the marketing of the first game. I had absolutely no idea that this game was even in development, much less that it had already come out.
It’s a shame they cut characters, I hope some get to come back as free dlc or part of a pack with new dlc characters. Justice for Hugh neutron.

This channel is so good! Having a hub of not only callbacks to my childhood, but updates on new developments in those franchises is just so awesome. If you ever wanted make the channel bigger, i could totally see another person joining on and making their own vids. Think fudgemuppet or gameranx, channels with 2 or so people who make their own videos. We do hear a lot from you between mrmatty, duke, and this, so dont feel like you need to do it ALL. Id love to hear stories about other people's favorite childhood gaming memories, so it could be something to think about in terms of growing your channels... on top of that i know itd be a lot of work to start a movie channel, maybe another person making RR vids would free up some time for that!

My biggest problem with the first one was the avatar characters, they barely used bending. As soon as i saw videos of their gameplay i was just like na, im out. Lol every single one of their attacks should have been their bending elements

The roster is solid but not having Timmy Turner is a little weird. Apprently is because theres some copyright issues with him or something with Butch Hartman? I'm not fully sure. I like that this game has found it's footing. Like you said maybe there will be an All-Stars 3 that can be like the Smash Ultimate of All-Stars or something, lol. Maybe this is the game that is a turning point for Game Mill that turns them from a meh developer to a more competent developer that people eventually trust with these games.
Just wish the Switch version worked. Really holding out for the patch

I pre-ordered the first one and only played it for like an hour. It just felt off to me. Maybe I'll give it another chance with all the patches and stuff

I hope these games end up progressing like: The first one was testing the concept, “hey you like smash bros? What if we did that with nicktoons?” Ok dope, how does it play? Ehhh pretty good overall but with smash ultimate the same year it’ll emphasize the differences. So they got the base down. Second game got all the little things missing from the first game like story mode, voice acting, but most importantly, smoothed out the fighting mechanics. Looks solid but could still be better. The third could include every character already in the first 2, refine the combat even further, maybe add a larger story mode and an absolute ton of characters and costumes to round ilit all out with the best aspects from 1 & 2. Best case scenario IMO

It's due to lowering the ISO so the CRT is visible. It darkens the room more than it actually is. I am still figuring it out.

First impressions are important.
They already screwed it up by launching before they were ready.
The animation quality (while not Smash level) is already starkly different from game 1 to game 2.
Same with the gamespeed (game one attacks were super fast).
