  • A royal procession carrying the body of Thailand's late King Bhumibol Adulyadej travelled on Friday from the Bangkok hospital he died in to the Grand Palace.
The king will lie there for a year as his country mourns the loss of the world’s longest reigning monarch.

In my whole lifetime, never had I seen so much loyalty and love to a king. This is a symbol of a highly respected and successful king.

the fact is you can not tell people to love you ...... and another fact is Thai King does not tell us to love him ....... Many men can make a grandeur but very few can build a family. King is our family King is our father

Please stop by and read my comment for the reason why we,Thai people love him so much
kings are suppose to be in the castle living happily but our king does not. We see our king on the ground working for Thai people. Before king Bhumipol Thailand was a Non-develop country. King Bhumipol develop our country from 0-100 he came up with every project from making rain to sufficiently economy he has done over 4600 project for us. He was blind on his left eye when he was 20 because his car accident. But he never stop working for US. He had done so much for us.
We do not considered him as our father because he is the king but because he does so much thing for us he is like our father. He is the king who served us.
I cannot stand u guys that say bad and rude things anymore.
    (sorry for bad English)

As Thai I love him because I watched him on tv since I was young. Everyday there were the news the king went to see his people in places that hardly reached or had problems. I thought it was his job and every king in this world did the same job. One day I was watching tv my mom said only our king do this I was like really?! (Then when I grew up I went to a mountain. It was university project. We helped people there and walked at mountain I swear I won't go there again. It was unnecessary to go climbing and carrying stuffs but our king did it for his whole life.)

Okay the king that I saw in tv he walked in a mountain taking a map and camera worked around people talking way to solve many problems actually were a blue screen, 3D graphics or editing. You're brilliant! How did u know?

Elyas Sharmarke And if I ask u who is god or how god look like? And if I don't believe in god (Jesus christ) cause he was also an ordinary man too. Hav some respects!!! We wouldn't hav loved him that much if he was just a normal king that sit on a throne so nothing for his country and lived a luxurious life like other kings. But as long as I can remember since I was young, everyday there will be a royal news on tv. And i've always seen that one guy traveled to rural areas around Thailand. places that doesnt even yet exist on a map. He would carry his pencil and maps everywhere in his hands, creating thousands of his Royal projects to help his people with water project, agricultural, healthcare and so many other things more than I could ever remember.

When he assumed the throne as king at the age of 18, absolute monarchy no longer existed and what he did was use his family's wealth to help improve the agricultural sector of Thailand. As for the rest, you can watch it on the feature done by History Channel a few years ago. I would say he was the king who served his people.

But, irregardless of how useless the Thai King was when he was alive, he was still more useful to his ppl than the Queen of England.
