- Full live stream of the Bag Over Bar at the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus, Ohio. With a 60 second time limit, athletes will pick and throw five different sandbags over a 15-foot bar in ascending weight.
Rogue’s complete coverage of the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic will be live on CZcams and the Rogue Index from March 6-7. 10 strongmen will compete in 6 events over 2 days for the title of Arnold Strongman Classic Champion. Rogue’s coverage will also include daily episodes of the Rogue Iron Game show featuring guests from the worlds of Strongman, Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, and CrossFit. We will also be streaming the full 2020 Rogue Record Breakers competition and the IWF Rogue World Challenge.

@@YannMetalhead Yeah he had a pretty bad ankle injury that completely threw off his performance. It's absolutely incredible that he did as well as he did all things considered. He must really have incredible determination and pain tolerance.

The soft under belt is like padding, the top belt helps keep lower back and guts tight.
Good for Licis for drawing a line on the ground as a reference point. I was just thinking that the organizers should have done that to help the athletes orient themselves, and then he went and did it himself. Fair play.
Few things I noticed.. i have my favorite athletes but I'm cheering for everyone lols!

Highest point of the throw is right in the middle of the distance. If a throw has total distance of 12 feet, then the thrower should be slightly less than 6 feet away from the center highest point. I think many stood too lose to get over the bar. The bag didn't reach its peak height yet.

Its amazing to see that martins uses the same technique as hafthor becaurse they are buddys and did prep together. Thats something you dont see in any other sport.

Watching this back, you really are reminded just how much of a shame it is Thor has stepped away from strongman. Absolute peak strength and the chance to cement his status over the next couple of years as one of the greats. Also feels like the end of an era. Big Z, Eddie and Thor all gone now, and with it a great rivalry. Understandable why but still a shame.

This event is catered to leverage(height) rather than strength, id like to see it go...
With respect, strongman is catered for the tall and short, the ripped and fat, the young and old, the intelligent and clueless.
The bag over bar is just one event that favours taller more explosive athletes. Where multiple other events favour the shorter and again other events favour static strength.
The whole point of being the strongest man is to be able to do it in all circumstances, not just the ones you like.
My favorite strongman Matteuz has sucked at Deadlift for many years. Yet he simply has to work harder at it as Thor did.
It's a mix a the strongman have to adapt to each event.
Yeah, that's why Shivlyakov, one of the shortest, performed better than all the others except for Hafthor of course.
