I used to love when I got to the arcade early and they were servicing the machines... There used to be these Megalo sit down fighting game ones and that was always a highlight when I got to see them service those ones!
That’s cool! Getting to see that was so interesting back then. I had kids coming up to me when I’d open machines when I worked at an arcade. I remember one was insisting he see inside lol
I am sure MK4 must have a kind of EJB Menu that we still dont know yet !!!

@@KillerArcadeGames Sounds good. I'm doing a 1up mod for Hydro Thunder right now. Randomly found a seat for the original arcade machine on marketplace, thought it would be cool to use that as a little nod to the OG machine. It won't be as good as the original like you have but its all I have room for lol.
Awesome video. It really was very interesting brother. I didn't realize there were so many things you could do in service menus. Also I'll be interested to see HYDRO and RUSH since I've never seen those before. This is the stuff that I've always loved and The Arcade1up's should really have had built in because this is part of what owning an ARCADE is all about.

It’s definitely one of those exciting things young people probably wouldn’t understand. We never knew what was in those menus so getting to see them now is still cool lol

Hey Chris, I should be receiving new happ sticks and buttons from Tornado for the KI cab and will be following your guide.
Gonna start with player 2 since that is the worse side and after that is100% perfect i will start player 1.

As for ATTRACT SOUND, I loved how MK and KI would always play Attract Sound then after a while would go quiet. What I hated was the STREET FIGHTER ALPHA that was right beside KI at a K-Mart (remember K-Mart). Dude, over and over every 60 seconds "SSTRREEEET FIGHTA.....ALPHA". It was fine the first few times, but after a half hour ... ahhhh! I had to mute TMNT and VF for the same reason. If you leave them on, they NEVER shut up. "ALWAYS ON", "ALWAYS OFF", "Mute After X Amount of Time" would have been great standards. I like that Attract Mode Volume option, that would be cool.
I absolutely agree about the attract sound! You’ll probably find Rush’s options very interesting then. It has quite a few choices for the attract audio.
Govee has the outlet plugs that has 2 outlets every one block on Amazon. I have my Aracade on those and use Alexa to turn them on.

Ah, sorry to hear that. CZcams can be a tough place to get a following. I always believe I got lucky and had good timing. I didn’t stream this weekend, I had to go to the urgent care today and have been pretty miserable lately. I’m hoping I’ll be better soon.

Yes it was interesting man. Didn't realize there were so many things you could do in the service menus. lol I'm going to be running an OG early 80's arcade game in my T2 Arcade1up! I'm turning it into a flight cabinet (running flying type games) and I'm getting the OG hardware for the game the cabinet is going to be based off of! Only thing I didn't think about. How would I turn the game on/off?
It’s the little things we overlook haha. My initial plan for turning the games off and on was to just flip the breakers. But I knew that would wear on the breakers over time and I wanted to be able to turn individual games on quickly and easily. For your cabinet, you could just use a power strip and flip that switch. These smart plugs are cheap now days so maybe that’s the most convenient option.
@@KillerArcadeGames Yeah I figured there wasn't really an on/off switch for OG arcade games. lol Yeah I was already planning on using a power strip to plug everything into. I've been doing that with all the Arcade1up cabinets I PC mod.
I have an MK4 PCB, but strangely I cant access the test menu. The dipswitches dont work either. Does it have to have the coin door wired up?
You’d need to have a button wired to the test wire. It doesn’t have to be the coin door button, any arcade button should work. You could temporarily wire one of the game buttons to it so you can access the menu.
Why you dont do capture screen of the pcb at 60fps? Would be look better than camera recording at 30fps..
I’d have to hack up my cabinet’s wiring and add one of those converter boards to do so. I’d rather keep them as close to stock as possible.
Hey kage so on my mk4 cab something up with the screen left and right, it dont feel the whole screen ive tried to adjust the the control nobs for the crt when u lift the control panel out.. ill make a video and show you so you can tell me how to fix it..awesome vid how ur turn your machines on bro.
Without seeing it, I wonder if it needs a cap kit. I’m pretty sure aging capacitors can change the geometry of the image.
