- Michelle and her brother added plenty of sweat equity while renovating this surprisingly spacious and light-filled garage apartment in Bryan, TX, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. With a budget of less than $5,000, this sibling reno team totally transformed the space using salvaged pieces, DIYs, and curated furnishings. The most recent addition includes a gorgeous 200 sq ft patio space, making Michelle's home perfect for entertaining guests as well as quiet nights at home.

I love this!! It may be one of my favorite small spaces!! The natural light and big windows really open up the space. I have an armoire too that I will never get rid of. It's like an extra closet and holds seasonal decor as well as serving pieces for the holidays.
Love the space....although small, it doesn't feel that way. When you live in a small home, having an outdoor space is EVERYTHING. We do most of our entertaining outside. I love the bathroom that you did. The sleeping space is a little bit too "cozy" for me as I love to sleep with my windows open and fresh air, but aside from that, I could definitely move in and feel right at home.Also, the quote by Mary Oliver that you have framed is one of my favorites and the only quote I also have displayed in my home.
Everything kinda fell into place in this home. It's inviting and cozy. An extension of who she is. Beautiful.
I love the sleeping nook! When we all shifted to work from home, I switched my tiny home office (where I used to work from home once a month or so) to my bedroom and moved my bedroom into the home office space, which basically only is large enough for my bed and one table. Works very well, and it's so cozy.
I absolutely love this place. The floor plan is perfect. I love the sleeping nook. Def adding this to favorites. I love the armoire as a pantry.
I love this, as someone who's just moved and downsized with my family to find peace and quiet to heal after nearly 8 years of illness I can completely understand the philosophy behind this way of living. This home is beautiful, we are also building ours inside and out from facebook marketplace etc finds, what a wonderful age we live in where we can furnish a home for nothing/next to nothing and it can look lovely and bring joy and peace ...

This is a really cute space! I find it a little funny though, that the kitchen which is "used to make cocktails and coffee" is so large and the bedroom is just a tiny little nook.😄

Very attractive apartment! Too many windows for my taste (unusual, I know - most people like a lot of windows) but the way she has organised the space, all the care that has gone into selecting the right materials, etc, is impressive. And I love the sleeping nook!

I love what you did with your space. Gave yourself more “living” room and a cozy sleeping nook. We’re only in our beds for 8 hours a night or day according to your shift. I love the fact that your bed is put away behind your kitchen. You could even put a room divider up for company. Not that that matters. I saw one at Hobby Lobby that I was thinking about getting. I’m hopefully moving into a 700 square foot apartment by December first and have been arranging my furniture in my sleep lol! Ty for sharing your home. Truly unique and beautiful. 💫

I love this, it's so neat! I love the sleeping nook also but I would have to have my mattress up off the floor..even if I had to build my own platform. I would love some type of wall shelf in there also but I guess you could always use a tray. Just lovely 💗💗💗

@@TheCiamarie I lived in Tacoma for 16 years, never drank wine that was made in Washington, and never drank a hot Starbucks coffee beverage either. I like their fraps though.

I live in 400 sq.ft, so this is actually huge to me. Looks like a fabulous place for a party, as well as very stunning. Didn't see a closet, mine at 400, has a"closet room" besides.They never count closets, in sq. footage. So, perfect, except...Frankly, storage, especially clothes, is CLOSE to everything...¹
