I don't know here on this one... i mean bad luck is bad luck but there's going to be alot of money given to a player for the 5th year here. Tough call. Unfortunately we don't have alot of options in the line department

Why couldn’t the Jets just tear up his contract and give him a new long term deal at less than the 15mil per because of his injury history.
Why would he take a contract less than market value. He would just play out 24 and than a fair contract someplace else
@@TonydaGM Quite simply for the guaranteed money. If AVT was to get injured again in 2024 his chances of a long term deal is all but gone. If the Jets were to take his expected 5year guaranteed contract add a few more mil as a signing bonus in a new contract that guaranteed money for next season would now be his before he even entered the season. Along with that he would have his deal even if it’s for 3 years and now contracts are no longer guaranteed based on injury. We save some cap space and throw AVT a bone .
@Tin-star What? His 5th year is 100% guaranteed , that includes injury. You are looking at it as a fans perspective . Absolutely no reason for AVT to take less money. He would need sn incentive based contract at market value, with much hire guarantees. Nfl guaranteed money gets paid if a Player is injured playing football
Yes. Because at some point he would stay healthy and when he is healthy is top Guard.
