This song hits me deep, two of my brothers became Marines. Thankfully they are safe and home after that but for me, I'm an over the road truck driver. Im away for months at a time driving across the country. I may not be military, but I understand the feeling of leaving and never knowing whether Id be coming back home or not. Respect to our men n women both in the military and truck driving keeping this country moving

Even a year later it's emotional. My dad went to Iraq and Afghanistan and I didn't know if I was going to see him again or not. Multiple times. Luckily I did but it changed him as a person. He can't even watch fireworks or anything without being medicated. War sucks both sides lose. No one wins. Even today Russia and Ukraine and for what? It's just not right. But don't be so quick to hate the other side. They're being forced just like you are. They have families. We're all human. No one wants war. Except certain individuals but I mean they're not the ones on the front line. So it's easy for them to say go attack so and so. Our world and life is so scary.

And it's bound to upset the Right - which is fine by me! 😁 Somehow, I think the 5FDP version would be somewhat more sympathetic to the military. Am I right? For all the good they do in highlighting veterans' problems, I sense they're less sympathetic to the "other side". Our blood's the same colour, even if our skin isn't. ✌️☮️🕊
Yes! Page thats what really got me choked up. We are all human and at the end of the day thats what you have to remember. No matter what all humans deserve the chance to live and thrive. Its the harsh reminder that even if there are two sides both sides are still people and want to make it home to their families.

Our countries were enemies 250+ years ago, but I have more in common with an African American family living in public housing projects than people living over the other side of my own town. 🤔 It's always come down to whoever has money and status gets to order around those of us who have neither. Rinse, repeat - ad infinitum. 💪 You have to wonder at people fighting over control of a liquid directly responsible for making our planet increasingly less habitable. 🤦🙈
