Unbelievable. That's my voice saying "Just find out where the drugs came from" and telling the story of Daryl Gates. I had no idea this existed. Here's my story. emulsionalproblems.blogspot.com/2009/01/life-and-death-of-captain-preemo.html
Hi Michael, I sent it to you on facebook and twitter this summer check your messages. I have a friend that new him who worked at the Roxy. Would love to hear your thoughts on the doc after you watch the whole thing.
@@GooseOD I was out of town the day he died. If I'd been in town and he called me first, he'd still be alive. Watching this is painful, so much footage I've never seen, and hearing my voice pop up at the end was mind boggling. Thanks for keeping the truth alive.
@@Disinfotainment Thank you for sharing your story, he is a great american folk hero.
@@Disinfotainment I just read your story. Good read man you should write a book about your time at Captain Preemos.
If you could peg when the death of the American spirit occurred, I would venture it would be when Belushi shuffled off this mortal coil.
This is almost worth watching just for the preservation of that Loews opening. Like sone sticky theatre floor flashback that feels authentic even if you weren't even born yet LOL
how do you just walk on stage doing what ever or imitating who ever - and cause of your body language and eye brows, the audience 1st try's to hold back laughter, then within seconds starts to piss them selfs laughing??? but this guy pulled it off without fail!! what a special talent. I was only about 7 to 9 years old when john was prime and doing his thing, and i remember missing him right away after he died. I can also recall the cafeteria scene in animal house when he gets on line with the food tray and the music in the back ground, as one of the hardest and longest times i ever laughed in my life - top 10 for sure, and i was only 8 when i seen that.
Great documentary. Thanks for sharing. ❤ R.IP John.
Watching this following the SCTV documentary. If you cobbled these together on your own, you are one creative maniacal genius! Love how the broadcast commercials are spliced in. Id love to see more like this, sir.
I did the comedy thing in Chicago (Second City class, improv performance) for years, to little notoriety at all, but what a time..
What are your thoughts on the counter-culture of those days now being overlooked or forgotten by current taste makers
Stumbled upon this while looking for Belushi footage that I may not have yet seen. Fantastic. Sharing this with friends. Thanks!
Yeah, there's not much out there, one of the reasons I put it in one place here. Thanks!
An amazing film. Thank you for sharing
Love how this goes all Alex Jones at the end. I remember, sometime back in the 1990's, Aykroyd said he was going to write a book and expose all the scumbags in the business and then retire. I guess he decided to make vodka instead.
Would like to read that book. Maybe it will be released some day?
I love this, thank you so much. I love John Belushi, and I miss him very much, he was so funny. R.I. P JOHN
19:41 just marking my favourite bit 😂❤😂❤
this is incredible, validating and reassuring as hell to be reminded of the history that the U.S. forgot
That man was so ahead of his time. No wonder farely thought he was so cool...he is.
"...Sit back and relaxxx...
Enjoy the SHOW ..."
I couldn't honestly tell you how many times I sat in one of the cozy, intimate theaters in Copley Place, Boston, listening to that welcoming introduction with the anticipation of the upcoming movie (before the theater was downgraded and made ordinary, as far as I'm concerned, to a Macy's lol😂).
Awesome work!
wow...this is incredible. thank you so much
In a perfect world...
Jim Belushi & J. Depp

Great documentary--thanks Brad!
Interesting film. Good job.
Amazing work.
This is brilliant!!!
Wow, wow, wow!! I was a little kid when a lot of this stuff happened but remember some of it. Wow, wow, holy shit
Excellent Documentary.... I love the tv host that gave Bob Woodward a stab at his shit book.
"We`ve got one that can see!"
31:23 big snort!
this isn't so much about belushi as it is about the time period within which he lived.
25:27 was that a "happy ending"?
Where did the drugs come from is always the main question, that's ridiculous, it's kinda ironic that the people least truthful can be cops, supposedly there to protect and serve.
awesome:
deep; is America ready for this? they are trying to metaphorically burn books today, so, probably not. i love the film though. you did an amazing job. thank you for letting the world see the history of it all my friend. imo
Is this the documentary showtime was supposed to be releasing?
Nope.
How do you have the Loews thing at the beginning?
For fun.
I'm going to be John Belushi
What role in Ghostbusters was Belushi supposed to play?
Bill Murray's
@@GooseOD Ok. Thanks!
I would not matter he would be wonderful in innie thing !
prob bill murray.
1:17:02 Bob Wormwood
LOL
Brilliant. Great footage. A life wasted. Very sad.
You didn't watch all of it, he was set up and od by the police.
Funny how Reagan turned out to be Jello's Shadow! Sell-out pos!
🤘🌎❤️
Belushi didn't make overtly political statements and if he did they aren't in this steaming pile of shit. You really shoe horned his connection to politics into this. I was a fan of his, but taking drugs isn't rebellious.
lol, it's called "art of rebellion" for a reason, both animal house and blues brothers are political. Sorry you're having a bad day.
I thought this was supposed to be about him and not those specific movies. Also, is Blues Brothers really political? Another thing, if the police wanted to bust him and Robin Williams, why didn't they just do the night he died?
Taken dope is only for pain and escapeing pressure of life’s shitey things or moments it is the easy and fast way
