[Monster Hunter World] ~ Blindfold Teostra Kill To Learn How Difficult Blind Runs Are

- As of making this video, blindfolded runs, especially in the Monster Hunter World community are currently a big buzz for one single reason; a suspicious (or rather) blind Alatreon runs have surfaced and the community is doing its very best to verify how legit the run actually is. A lot of different opinions have surfaced but big content creators have spoken out, saying that the run is still faked. Due to that, I wanted to have my own experience in doing a blindfolded run and I chose no other than Arch-Tempered Teostra with one of my favourite Weapons, The Charge Blade. it was a struggle but after 7 hours I had a magical lucky run and managed to kill Teostra completerly blindfolded.

This is what a blindfold run looks like
1. We don't run to the monster, they run to us
2. The lock on, determines how the fight goes
3. Cannot avoid destined death.
4. If you can't do it, that does not mean i can.
i actually did blind no lock-on alatreon with IG recently and my opinion is that im surprised that it took so much time for someone to actually attempt it xd
i was expecting TDS to post their own blind run like 5-10days after the drama but maybe they want all their runs look perfect without any hits taken so they either gave up or they are still grinding for that perfect run.
im glad that YT recommended me this vid. its bit late but its nice to see ppl trying it out.
overall going into blind run feels like playing game in similar genre... kinda like moving from monster hunter to wild hearts or vindictus. its very similar but u also need to learn new basics and it can kick you in the nuts multiple times
also i wonder if vaal hazak armor bonus would help with your playstyle :P. some passive regen could help a lot with all this block camping

Bravo.... love it when people actually put their money where their mouth is & _try_ these things for themselves, and you make some excellent observations. 👏 The critical point people overlook about blindfolded speedrunning is that _video games are entirely built around visuals..._ a deaf person can pick up & play just about _any_ game but a visually-impaired person can't do the same, no matter how good the sound design is. Why? Because video games are a _visual_ illusion... 2D media trying to trick your brain into perceiving it as a 3D environment. As you keenly observed, you have _no spacial cues_ to tell you how close/far away or far above/below you an object is (whether that's a monster you're fighting or an environmental aspect like a rock in your path or the edge of a cliff).
That's why camera locking, pathing, set-ups & back-up strats are core parts of blindfolded runs.... muscle memory & audio cues are _part_ of those actions & strategies, but they can't replace them. And it's the absence of these from both her runs that's the giveaway - _no_ blindfolded gamer plays the exact same way when blindfolded versus sighted. None.

Theres a guy named Teawrex that killed Nergigante blindfolded about five years ago. Theres a lot of luck and time involved you can get the kill.
Your blind AEDs are more accurate than me with 2 eyes open. Watching your blind run kinda reminds me of my CB gameplay. Sad, I know; but also very funny. LMAO

Just saying, you win after 7 hours training and 200 non blindfold kill.
may be she's saying the truth after all she have 4500+ kill that's about 50 day of gameplay (24/7) so she's used to fight him (and she said she's training with blinfold for months). Also you're playing quite passive that mean you die a lot where you could heal youself or attack to heal and you could have gain about 2-3 hours if you realised that sooner.
I think the biggest differnece is that it took me around 20 minutes to still do it (With a lot of luck) while the other run is very... well REALLY FAST lol
@@HiImFox if you didn't spam block and keep attacking relying on your heal when attack you could have halve the quest duration tbh.

much easier said than done lol. I still believe that you are underestimating how difficult this is, especially on a weapon that can't block
4500+ kill NOT blindfolded means absolutely nothing if you attempt this kinda run. Even with 1 mil+ kill you'll not be able to do it consistently, since you are not used to the new ways of fighting without visual cues. Any average MHW players could've killed it 9000 times if they dedicate their time, but it doesn't mean every single one of them could achieve a blindfolded kill against Alatreon, its just a completely different beast and requires a lot of practice. You should also be aware that Teostra has different mechanics than Alatreon, so comparing the practice/ clearing time between 2 runs is not feasible.

I am so happy that you remember me just by hearing my voice! that means so much to me to be honest 😊 I never quit, my old channel just got 0 dumpstered by youtube. Any video I uploaded would barely break 200-300 views since none of my subscribers (that came from Lost Ark) would watch them. So I decided to experiment with a new channel and so far it seems to be going better!
