Ironically, Sylvester Stallone was never a boxer in real life, but Burt Young/Paulie who played a drunken bum, was a successful boxer at both amateur and professional levels. He was unbeaten in 17 professional fights. He's an accomplished artist too who has exhibited his painting all over the world.
Nah, he was in porn first.
I worked with Burt Young on a TV episode of Walker Texas Ranger and he was like his character in Rocky.
@@thedragonlee76 Burt is still alive!
@@rjwilley9164 Yep,had to re-edit my post. But I did work with him back in the 90s.
Tony (Apollo trainer) was a real boxer
Matt, your deadpan look into the camera when Emily says "Is he making an omelette?" was priceless.
I was laughing so hard at that. 😆
The great thing about the Rocky franchise is that there is so much development from every core character. Rocky, Adrian, Apollo, Mick, even Paulie (eventually).
Speaking of Adrian, the scene when she gets in Paulie's face and yells "I'm NOT a LOSER!" is one of my favorite moments in film.
The actor playing Paulie is the only REAL Boxer in the cast......Look it up,
@@garychambers6848 And the boxing match in Rocky is based on Sugar Ray Robinson vs Jake "Raging Bull" LaMotta fight .
Stallone did Roger Corman movies with big star David Carradine , Death Race 2000 , Machine gun Joe and Cannonball , uncredited gangster , he has few lines .
Bet Roger Corman told Stallone how to cut cost , when making movies .
@@pete_lind the money it made actuàlly funded raging bull.
Its also a MAsterclass in movie making, wich shows that Stalone talent ain't a fluck.
There is so MUCH you can analyse from the way the shots are framed, the soundtrack, the significance of objects in the frame and even the lightening of the scenes.
You can spend hours breaking down each scenss of each movies, and you get a LOT of clues through the worldbuyilding and storytelling, there is a LOT of "show don't tell" that you can catch.
I cry at that scene, along with the one the night before the fight where Rocky gives the "If I can only go the distance..." speech.
The thing to keep in mind with the meat is it gives a way to show the audience the unexpected power behind Rocky's punches.
Paulie said he was breaking the ribs in a side of beef. If the large ribs in a cold side of beef were snapping under the force of his blows then Apollo's would never stand a chance.
It also helps explain why the rookie and trained boxer both look equally destroyed by the end of the fight. Rocky never blocked Apollo's never ending punches worth a damn, and Apollo wasted his time trying to block because Rocky hit him like a sledge hammer with each rare connecting punch.
Rocky breaking the ribs in the meat locker was laying the groundwork and foreshadowing Rocky breaking Creed's ribs in the fight. It's a nice touch of storytelling. When Creed admits to his trainer, "he broke my ribs", it is believable because the audience saw him break the ribs in the meat locker earlier.
Rocky blocked Apollo's punches really well. He just blocked them with his face.
@@MGower4465 🤣
@@MGower4465 I think that still counts, doesn't it ?
"He doesn't know it's a damn show. He thinks it's a damn fight."
_Rocky_ is a Love Story in which a fight occurs. Adrian is our window into Rocky's soul and Talia Shire is brilliant! Many forget she was in _The Godfather._ And like her character in _The Godfather Trilogy_ who goes from battered wife to power behind the throne, here Adrian goes from a woman who you doubt can even speak to an incredibly powerful and articulate woman from whom Rocky draws all of his strength. I hope you watch at least up though _Rocky IV_ and appreciate just what an incredible acting talent Talia Shire really is.
First of all, I loved Emily’s shadow boxing at the end of the movie. Stallone wrote a great character in Apollo. He was the antagonist only because he was Rocky’s opponent but he wasn’t a “bad guy”. You’re not rooting against Apollo necessarily, just rooting for Rocky to win. I’m beyond happy that Emily actually said she’s looking forward to the rest of the franchise because it’s awesome.
To be fair, Apollo is kind of an arrogant dick in the movie.
Her shadow boxing reminded me of Tara from Buffy.
the difference is really getting clear in rocky 3
Rocky was nominated for 10 Oscar's, won 3 including best picture and script.
One of the greatest misconceptions about Rocky from people who haven't seen it is that it's a boxing movie. It's not. It's about love. Can`t wait to see you react to the rest!
This movie was a cultural phenomenon. I was a kid but I remember seeing teen boys and young adult men totally stoked about this movie. Rocky was a sympathetic character in that, despite being strong and brave, he wasn't a stereotypical macho man. He was kind, sensitive, caring, and wanting to do the right thing. He's forgiving even when he was mad like he was with his coach. He made the first move for reconciliation. He wouldn't even use his strength against guys who didn't pay the guy who hired Rocky to use his strength to shake them down. In short, Rocky was a good example of what a good man is. I think he was a good example for teen boys and young men to aspire to be like.
My favorite scene has to be the argument between Rocky and Micky in Rocky's apartment. The scene flows so beautifully, with Rocky hiding in the bathroom, Micky starting to leave but the closes the door, Rocky emerging from the bathroom seeing Micky and going back into the bathroom. Then the catharsis of just letting out all his frustration, and being the bigger man and reconciling. It's just gorgeous.
Too bad they cut that scene up and didn't show most of it.
Also when rocky says "you know when I said that stuff on TV didn't bother me, it did"
I like peoples reactions to that part
Yeah the best scene in the movie for me.
The meat is not frozen. Meat is aged in coolers after being harvested to become more flavorful and tender (if you ate a steer right after slaughter, it would be quite tough). It is kept slightly above 32 degrees so it doesn't freeze. Frozen meat is hard as a rock and would break your hands
Yes. It hangs to allow the body heat to dissipate. Otherwise the meat is very tough.
@@brianburton1843 Well sort of. All meat (chicken, pork, lamb) is obviously chilled before sale to prevent rigor mortis (hardening) and spoilage. However, beef is aged additionally (sometimes for weeks) to allow it to dry (increasing flavor) and give time for enzymes to start breaking down muscle fibers making it more tender
@@scottbooker8602 Yes. But dry edged beef don't look like those carcass. When dry aged the blood dries causing the meat on the surface to discolor and turn purple. This is trimmed of and thrown away. Added to the cost.
The carcasses you see in the movie. Have only been hanging for a day or so. And butchers are breaking them down for sale and shipment. It's a standard commercial operation. Beef you would buy in any supermarket.
@@brianburton1843 I did not assert how long it was hanging, I stated that beyond the intention of cooling the meat, hanging beef in sides causes tenderization and dehydration, improving quality. It is industry standard that beef hang as sides for at least 3 and up to 21 days. Further dry aging (as is what a quality steak house or meat purveyor would do) is normally done after the side has been broken down into primal cuts. Under very specifically monitored conditions, the primals age 24, 48, or more days. As the meat ages it does darken as a result of dehydration and enzymes further breaking down muscle fibers, not BLOOD drying. Virtually all the blood is drained from the animal when slaughtered. The red liquid that sometimes seeps out of beef is called myoglobin (an enzyme that causes the meat to maintain its color)
@@scottbooker8602 yes you are 100% right.
Thanks.
As a Philadelphian I'm required by law to watch this video. The statue always has a line of people to take pictures with it.
I love how this movie has nothing to do with boxing. Rocky is both protagonist and antagonist at the same time. There's a reason that this movie holds up.
I think everybody hates Paulie their first time around. I agree, he's a dick, period. But over the years, my anger turned to sadness. Imo he's a tragic character. We don't know the history, but we can be sure it's there. I imagine this is a "we knew each other in school"-deal. I further imagine that all the "go-getters" moved away and it's kinda just those two left from the old days. Both underachievers without much perspective, in fact i would argue that Adrian fits that label as well (though argueably because she is constantly getting bullied around by Paulie). It's kind of a "misery loves company" situation and in Paulie and Adrian's case i think Paulie goes as far as to drag Adrian down to his level just to have that company. So now that Rocky gets his shot, Paulie gets super-jealous and ups his jabs (pun intended) against Adrian to the next level culminating in his break when he goes for the baseball bat. Who in their right mind sticks with someone like that ? Well, do you go and throw away decades of history, because your friend is in a bad place ? At some point maybe, but imo Rocky tries to uplift Paulie to equalize the playing field. Or if you think that is too much of a stretch, at least it can be said, that Rocky is the type of guy who doesn't hold a grudge and doesn't turn his back on "his people", which through the connection with Adrian Paulie definately is. In any case, it's further characterization for Rocky being a really good guy, certainly a better guy than most.
At the same time, i think Paulie is a big part of the material that imo could be cut.
13:26 "Making like an omelette?" - Matthew's face... priceless.
WINNER OF 3 OSCARS INCLUDING BEST PICTURE!
"ADRIAN!"
"ROCKY!"
"ADRIAN!"
"Rocky I love you!"
"I love YOU."
Fun fact, he still has the 2 Turtles as pets, they are HUGE now
This movie was the first use of the "Steady Cam" A camera that you could just hold in your hand and follow an actor and it isn't jittery. The guy who invented it and was trying to sell it, he filmed his sister walking up and down the steps at the museum Philadelphia. The producers of Rocky saw this footage and liked it so much they changed the setting from New York to Philly just so they could replicate Rocky running up the stairs in the movie.
"Oh what, is your mother on display?"
A+ comeback lmao
Fun fact Sylvester Stallone had to sell his dog to get the script made into a movie after it was sold to be made he bought his dog back for way more then he sold it for. It’s stallones actually dog in the movie.
Rockys heart is huge, thats why he sort of gets along with Paulie
That bulldog was actually Sly's. His name was Butkus (after football Hall of Famer Dick Butkus). Sly got him when he was a puppy, and considered the dog his best friend. When things got really bad, he had to sell Butkus for $40 to buy food. When Rocky became successful, Sly went to the guy he sold him to and bought him back for $1500. Also, Sly never considered Rocky a "sports movie." He said it's a love story.
I like how after Rock knocks Apollo down, Apollo gets up and is like WTH just happened?
I'm pretty sure there's a story with Bill Conti who did all the music for the movie. He was an unknown composer at the time and the Rocky team only had $75,000 I think for all the music budget and were struggling to get any composers to take on the project until Conti came alone, and made a deal to take the $75,000 in exchange for all the music needs for Rocky as a package deal. It paid off for both as Rocky got iconic music and Bill Conti ended up becoming a famous Hollywood music producer.
Not only that, because of the limited budget, what you hear are the first and only takes of the recording sessions.
the thing about Rocky finally getting to call out Mickie's bad choices right back to him was so powerful because that was the moment where Rocky wiped the slate clean of both their wrong choices between him and Mickie
"Gonna make an omelet?" *Matthew shrugs and looks directly at the camera like "Shh, don't tell her what's coming"*
My nephew walked in when you were talking about rocky punching frozen meat in the film and of course, with no context, he began to laugh. The dialogue afterward though had us in stitches.
Beautiful film.. The first sequel is just as good possibly better.. Rocky 6 is also just as good.. The ones in-between 2 and 6 are fun too.
3 & 5 are my favorites overall. But generally when I decide to watch, I'll make it a weeklong thing and watch them all.
@@pleutron Rocky 3 is incredibly entertaining taking the series into it's next logical step .. I use to love 4, then I stated to seriously hate it as my inner serious movie snob reared it's critical head . It was just too OTT with some very bad comic moments with Paulie and the you know what.. But the directors cut did a great job of toning the 80's silliness and re-sharpening the films edge. 5 had so much potential but never attained that hard edge it was going for, Its a very compromised film, But I still have a soft spot for it. Rocky 6 really put a lot right, and rounded things up nicely for the Creed series to start.
@@ashleywetherall but OTT is a great cheesy fun Stallone movie :P
It won the best picture in 1976, I think it was perfect tbh, a low budget movie rarely wins the best picture award. Cuff and Link are still with Sly. The Dog was his he had sold him because he was to broke to feed him, then he bought him back after he knew he would be making this movie. The movie, imho, is a love story.
The time and effort for Sly Stallone as an budding actor & filmmaker to bring this story to the screen is an underdog story in itself.
One of his most endearing roles and proof that he wasn't just some muscle-bound guy who got lucky (much like Rocky).
Stallone's Oscar-nominated presentation as lead actor and screenwriter.
Proved that he indeed was the real deal.
45 years later and this saga still stands up.
Hopefully you'll watch the sequels.
Fun fact burgess Meredith who plays penguin in 66 batman was rockys coach in this
Mind Blown your right 🤣🤣 this movie just got better
@@INSEIKYU01 thanks for the reply more movie knowledge will come to those who wait

Emily: making an omelet?
Matthew: *looks at camera*
xD
Rocky is the most loveable and most humble character.
Fun fact: Rocky still has the turtles Cuff and Link with him to this day.
"That's the end? Who won?"
Easy. Audiences everywhere because this story was told over another 7 (soon to be 8) different sequels. And each one pushes the storyline forward in a different way.
Personal rankings for me? This one stands alone because it set the tone for the rest. After that it goes: 2, 4, 6, 3, Creed, Creed 2, 5. Thing is, 5, despite being the "worst" still has some ok moments. All of them are worth watching, and everyone has their favorites, and if there's any of them on TV while I'm flipping channels, I'm stopping to watch.
@Necramonium Yes, I know that. I was quoting her in the reaction. (Pretty sure you knew that, right?)
Pretty sure this film still holds the title as the most profitable investment in movie history. Only a million spent making the film, yet it netted more than $225 million in worldwide box office. And it turned into a multi-billion dollar franchise once you consider the VHS, television airings, merchandising, and other income. Heck, it's still netting money today.
The guy who played the promoter was the actual guy who bought Stallone's dog, and the only way he would sell Butkis back to him is if he gave him a part in the movie.
The actress who plays Adrian is part of the Coppola family. Her brother is Francis Ford Coppola, her nephew is Nicholas Cage and her son is Jason Schwartzman.
13:25 "he makin omelette?" 😆
I'm from Philly originally, and was 10 when this came out. Rocky is an enduring Philly icon and symbol of pride for the city. The Philly pro sports teams will play the theme song late in games at key moments to get the crowd totally fired up! Yo Adrian!!
That's pathetic to idolize a fictional character.
@@azazello1784 not if you don't have, or never had, a real-life positive role-model in your life (but that was a pretty apathetic statement for you to make).
That being said, do you consider it less pathetic to idolize a real life individual whom you've never met? If so, I'd love to know the distinction.
@@richarddefortuna2252 Don't feed the trolls. The asshat created a new account just to leave that comment.
Pauli played his role to perfection. He's not supposed to be liked. In his eyes he was helping his sister find a guy.
The dog was actualy Stallone's dog. I don't remember the exact story, but i think that he had to sell him/givr him away, because at that time he could not afford to buy food
Yep. And he bought him back as soon as he got the movie deal.
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 ok, then i was not completely wrong 😄 thanks 👍
Sylvester Stallone got the idea for this movie after watching Muhammad Ali fight a relative unknown named Chuck "The Bayonne Bleeder" Wepner. Wepner actually knocked Ali down early in the fight. Wepner took a huge beating but lasted until he was knocked out in the final round.
Wepner was quite well known and actually fought some high profile boxers. Joe bugner, George Foreman and he was the last boxer to fight Sonny Liston but he was never considered an elite fighter so it was a bit of a shock that Ali picked him for that fight in 1975 and most people were amazed he lasted 15 rounds with Ali. Think Stallone wanted Rocky as a complete unknown rather than a boxer who had a bit of a reputation
Sonny Liston was old when he and Wepner fought.. but Liston had him bleeding all over the place
He was inspired by Wepner for the story. But his boxing style was modeled after Smokin' Joe.
Adrian is the heart and soul of these movies!
The fact that Emily said the wrong word and got insulted in the edit is gold lol. Also NEVER insult turkeys..they have long memories..oh..and you need to put that cat on the payroll..he's a STARRRR...lol
Rocky series is the greatest love story we've seen on the big screen.
Until the 20s, boxing matches were bare handed, and went on as long as both fighters could answer the bell. Gradually the use of padded gloves and a limit of 15 rounds came into play. Then fights were shortened to 12 rounds in the lighter weight classes, as it was found that 12 3 minute rounds fit perfectly into a 1 hour TV block. When Rocky was made only Heavyweights still went 15, and in the early 80s, Heavyweighrs moved to 12 rounds as well. This has shortened to 10 3 minute rounds for men's non-title fights (12 rounds for title fights) while all women's bouts are 10 2 minute rounds.
Yes but this came out in 1976 ..
16:11 Paulie is the heart and soul of the entire film series.... most people miss that. The series of films is actually all about Paulie and his redemption and transcendence. Without Paulie, the entire story collapses. Paulie is the Sir Galahad of the story.
Seriously though.... I think the function of the Paulie character is a juxtaposition with Rocky.
They both have the same opportunities or lack thereof...they come from the same place.
Paulie is what Rocky could easily have become had he not chosen the right path....
Rocky sees the world with someone innocent, positive and hopeful light... Paulie sees everything from a dirty, dark and negative place.
The story is telling us all to make good choices.
Stallone wrote a great script. On the surface it's very machismo when you left the theater shadow boxing and yelling "Yo Adrienne!"
But each character has depth. For instance the loan shark, who really cares for Rocky and helps him out with no strings. But in the end he is a loan shark.
“Running is the Devil’s sport.”
Never before as a more accurate statement been made.
Little known fact. When Sly and Talia shot the first scene where they hook up in Rocky's apartment, Talia Shire had the flu and was running a fever of 103°. The production was strapped for cash and couldn't wait for Talia to recover. They were going to skip the kissing scene so Sly wouldn't run the risk of getting sick. He said "I'll take my chances. Let's just do it right the first time". This scene was all done super quick and Sly ended up getting Talia's flu. HE was sick for ANOTHER 3 days but since he's in almost every scene, he couldn't take any time off to recover either.
ALso, dont forget....this movie INVENTED the training montage with music. Before this movie: the training montage. did. not. exist.
Hollywood at the time thought that was the dumbest idea: watching someone run and punch a bag and gradually get better. They were TOTALLY against the these
scenes.
BUT...the finished product was so iconic and successful that now EVERY training montage owes it's roots to 1976's Rocky.
Oh! Another great sports movie nobody seems to know or remember is Breaking Away (1979). PLEASE consider giving it a watch. I think you two would love it.
Rocky, to me, is a perfect movie. One of my favorites, easily... and endlessly rewatchable.
@23:04 Your kitty, Pippin, is like: "The feck?" He doesn't look too impressed.
"Oh, he gonna get the salmonellas."
Don't ever change, Emily.
@23:03 lol the cat doesn't look impressed with your skills XD
I know Rocky declaring his love for Adrianne right at the end was all very heart felt, but it wasn't until seeing this that I realized how much Stallone sounded like Scooby Doo saying it.
“If you ever see me running you better start running” 😂
Rocky you went the distance you almost won the championship. Adrian my heart heals and i tear up he knows what is most important in this world.
"There´s no wonder the speedbag won..."
Made my day. Thank you.😂🤣😂
I’m watching this as I’m visiting Philadelphia (introducing my kids to my fiancée’s family) so seeing Rocky come up this weekend is a nice coincidence.
Sylvester himself has said that Rocky is not a boxing or sports movie... it is a love story. ❤️
*she's air boxing* Pippin: "Dad I think mommy has lost it..."
Budget was so tight Bill Conti had people from the office singing on the Rocky theme.
I know you need to make hard decisions in editing, but I don’t know how you can cut out the part of the fight where Rocky gets knocked down, Mickey tells him to stay down, and Apollo turns around in disbelief when he sees him getting back up. “Apollo can’t believe it!” Incredible moment.
This is Sly's masterpiece. And it is a masterpiece. Rocky II is considered a love story. Even Sly thinks so. So you don't have to know alot about boxing. Yes, some fighters do hit cow or pig flesh because it simulates hitting a human.
See the beautiful thing between Adrian and Rocky is that they are complimentary to each other she lacked the confidence that Rocky gave her so it's only fitting that she give him confidence on the way out,... Rocky ain't Rocky until she lets him become Rocky and short Adrian is his lench pin.
THIS WAS 1976 The FANTASTIC 70s JAWS 1975 ,, ROCKY 1976 ,, AND STAR WARS 1977 , What a good time to be a teen
Fun fact: this movie was inspired by a real fight. A nobody did surprisingly well in a fight and even scored a knockdown against Muhammed Ali, but ended up losing, which inspired this script. That's why apollo creed is so obviously patterned after Muhammed Ali in the way he talks and his fighting style.
a backstory- John Avildsen ,the director, was slated to be director of Saturday Night Fever. he actually had some film shot when one of the stars (John Travolta) objected to the style of movie he was making. the producer was said to have informed him by saying that he had been nominated for an Oscar for Rocky, but the bad news was that he was fired.
I bet I'm not the first one to say this, but I can't wait to see Emily's reaction to the masterpiece that is "Rocky IV".
His face when she said "is he making an omlet?" Lol
It's easy for most people to hate Paulie, but he has one redeeming moment at the very end of the fight where he distracts the cop & lifts up the rope so Adrian can enter the ring.
I heard/read somewhere that Duke, Apollo's trainer, was the boxer Apollo beat to claim the heavyweight championship.
Which makes the scene where Duke watches Rocky train on television that much more interesting, because he sees in Rocky what Apollo was before he cared more about his image.
Duke was a boxer in real life
I used to do that egg thing before a run all the time, and I never got 'the salmonellas'!
My interpretation of the friendship between Rocky and Pauloe is Rocky doesn't have any friends and having a suspect friend is better than no friend.
i've rarely heard a reactor or even friends make the connection that if rocky can break the ribs of a COW (1400 lbs), then he's definitely a threat to the ribs of a MAN.
That whole segment quietly shows just how much power, rocky is capable of generating, without him (or apollo) even knowing it.
The biggest thing going for all the Rocky films, is that they've got so much heart. You care for the characters. And you get so fired up watching the fights.
The story of Rocky is based on the life of Chuck "the Bayonne Bleeder" Wepner who fought Muhammad Ali for the Heavyweight Championship in 1975. Wepner fought valiantly for 15 rounds, even knocking the Champ down in the 9th (he was stepping on Ali's foot), but eventually was cut over both eyes and had his nose broken. Finally in the 15th round (unlike the movie), Wepner was floored, took a seven count, and the referee declared a TKO.
Those Turtles from the beginning, Cuff and Link, are still alive and Sly still has them as his pets!
I never tire of the 'Rocky' movies. They are far more than boxing films.
Oh everytime you said “Ya bum”, I DIED 😂
The whole franchise is just a love story with boxing as a backdrop.
Wonderful reaction guys. Looking forward to your reaction to the next Rocky movie. Rocky 5 unfortunately wasn't a good movie. Even Stallone admitted he didn't put effort into it. I don't know of anyone that pounds raw meat. You probably would break your hand doing that
Rocky really isn't a sports drama. You don't get too far into the technical aspects of boxing. Rocky is a love story set around boxing.
It wasn't frozen meat, it was just refrigerated. And there's no punching bag on earth that simulates punching a real person quite like punching a side of beef. As Paulie noted, Rocky was breaking some of the ribs... which he later did to Creed.
In the lowest amateur levels of boxing, they may fight for three, five or sometimes eight rounds. At the professional level, you'll see mostly ten round fights. And only the highest levels (title fights, main events), do they go to fifteen rounds.
I get up every morning at 4:00 to go for a run and I'm 51. My favorite saying (sports related) is "My sport is your sport's punishment."
In an out take from Rocky Balboa aka Rocky 6 we actually see all the regret Paul has over how he treated his sister and how much he loves Rocky.. He's a Looser only Rocky could forgive.
I'm watching 1960s Batman TV show right now, and I adore Burgess Meredith as the Penguin. Always quacking, pretending to be an innocent citizen.
I think something that everyone misses in the "Apollo won the fight" statement is that if you listen to the ring announcer. the decision was a split decision meaning that of the three judges, one of them actually thought Rocky won the fight. This is very important because it makes the sequel make a lot more sense.
Most people don't know that Rocky is based on a true story. Chuck Wepner "the Bayonne bleeder" 1975 fight vs Muhammed Ali. Wepner wanted to go the distance. He was TKO'd in the 15th round with 12 seconds left! Chuck was also a loan shark collector.
My favourite Rocky reference was in the Steve Martin comedy "The Lonely Guy" where Charles Grodin said "I saw Rocky the other day and ran out of the theater full of energy and started jogging and doing shadow boxing in the street, guy came up to me and punched me right in the face" 😂
Those heavy bags are generally canvas over sand, the carcasses are meat over ribs which is essentially one step below a live opponent consisting of meat over ribs. At least that's how I've always looked at it.
I think that you would both love The Boondock Saints. You should add it to your list.
Rocky 1 : Rocky beats Meat
Rocky 2: (Spoiler) Rocky chokes a Chicken
" I feel like a Ketucky Fried idiot"
A love story masquerading as a boxing movie. So so good. Brilliant.
First thought without watching the reaction: Oh, Emily is gonna just LOOOVE Paulie! Lol
Loved that comment...If you see me running you better run too becauce something terrible is behind me...LOL
In the commentary of the film Talia Shire tells that during the scene when Adrian and Rocky has the first kiss she was having a cold. So she was kind of hesitant to kiss Stallone since she didn't want him to catch the cold as well. So that played out really well because of circumstances which is cool :)
