- In this behind the scenes video, I'll be showcasing my efficient lighting and workflow setup for capturing high-volume corporate profile photos.
As a professional photographer, I understand that time is of the essence, and that's why I've perfected a system that allows me to shoot around 50-60 images in just 6 minutes. My clients are always impressed at how quickly I can capture a variety of expressions and backdrops, all while maintaining the highest level of quality.
From the momentI engage with the person that I am photographing, they can see that I take my work seriously. Once my clients are in front of the camera, I work quickly to capture a range of expressions and poses, always keeping in mind the specific needs of each individual. Whether I'm working with a CEO or a recent graduate, I strive to create portraits that accurately reflect their professional brand.
And as for my workflow, let's just say it's been honed to a science. I have a system for organizing images, making selections, and processing the final images, all designed to ensure that I'm able to deliver high-quality images to my clients in a timely manner.
I know that there are many other ways to approach corporate profile photography, but this is the way that I do things. So, whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, I hope this behind the scenes video will provide you with some useful insights into my lighting and workflow setup.

Probably one of the most useful videos on CZcams. Thank you so much! Getting the client to feel comfortable and look natural has to be the most important skill, and you do it so well. 🙏
Thanks so much, great to have a system
Thank you for showing unedited images in this video. This is a great workflow to make job easy.
Thanks - yes, if you have a system you can work so much more efficiently.
A „Friday-Smile” - have to remember this one! Thanks for sharing your workflow, really useful information.
Thanks - simple, but effective
My portraits involve a tripod, 50mm lens and a bottle of bourbon - this guys too fancy
Brilliant!! Love that 🤣🤣
I love the way you use the days of the week to describe the expression! I'm gonna try that next time
I've been shooting for 30 years and only cameup with this around 3 years ago! So much better than - Smile!
Thank you so much Brett!🧡
My Pleasure!
Invaluable content for any photographer, amazing stuff Brett.
Fantastic information. Great being able to watch it live as it’s happening.
This is awesome!!! This looks very effective! Great idea on the setup and giving the client more options to pick. Im glad I ran into your video!!! Thank you for sharing and I will have to try this!!!
Cool - thanks for the feedback, really kind of you
Great shots and very Simple and effective light setup. Thank you for sharing IT with us
Absolutely! Thanks for the comment. Do you also shoot corporate head shots?
Great job, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much, really easy if you have a system.
Nice work very appreciated
Many thanks for sharing, lots of great ideas in here!
You have great information on on your channel. Thank you greatly for your videos 🔥❗️
Thanks so much David, I appreciate the support!
Great stuff Brett, thanks for sharing. One question: When you start the session we see the model enter her details like name. Whats your workflow there, entered in Capture1Pro/Lightroom? And then starting a new sesion for each person? Thanks in advance and keep it up!
Thanks - I enter all their details into ActivCampaign - my CRM where I enter the reference number of the client before shooting the next one :)
I noticed they were typing their information in. What software are you using, and how do you keep up with each individual?
I enter the details right into my CRM, it tags their department and other details. This is in ActivCampaign The time that they enter their details match up to their images and I rename them manually
Great work. Do you bring the stool or do you use whatever the client has on-site?
Thanks for the comment. Thaat one was there, but sometimes I use the Jupio collapsible stool
I am so glad I stumbled on this video. Excellent stuff! My one issue is that it took over 5 minutes for her. If I have to shoot over 60 people that's a lot of time.
Thanks - This created over 60 images for the client, You can shoot quicker if you need less images. If you are being paid by the hour then surely if it takes longer it is better for you?
great content Brett, bravo ! just like i remember a great workshop you taught on Creativelive, if i'm right...
Yes, you are right, thanks for the feeback. really cool of you
Great work flow, learned a lot. I wasn’t a fan of the males second hand pose though.
Great BTS video
Thanks David, appreciate the comment
Thanks for sharing, what lens are you using?
70-200 f2.8 - Thanks for your comment :)
Rushing through tasks can lead to overlooked details, compromising customer satisfaction and potentially causing long-term repercussions, emphasizing that prioritizing speed over quality is not always optimal.
Thanks for the feedback - I have been shooting for 30 years and when shooting this kind of work - time is money to the client and they appreciate that I get the job done efficiently. Not sure where I have compromised on quality?
@@Brettflorens It wasn't a critique of your skills, but rather an acknowledgment of the significance that a deliberate pace contributes to creativity and human connection, particularly in portrait photography. Working with celebrities on portraits is a frequent part of my job, and it can be disheartening when I realize that more time would allow for an even better outcome.
That first backdrop is very badly creased. At least iron or steam it!
Good point, you are right.
🤣 SO BAD !!!!
Wow - Really?
