I have a 2008 mercury 20hp 4 stroke that had 60 lbs compression. As it didn't burn oil I couldn't believe the compression rings were shot. I tried seafoam products but made no difference. Then I tried this stuff, did what you did, let it soak overnight, then took it for a rip. Results 160 lbs compression now. Amazing stuff! Good video.

I miss my old 2 stroke and using Carbon Free. My friend Gator would go down to the ramp on a Sunday morning when all the kayakers were launching and then use a whole can of this stuff and smoke out the whole area with his 125 Force engine. Thanks for the video. This will keep your engine running and most importantly starting better for years to come.

I never used Quick silver power tune before. But I'm sure abt the results. It's a good cleaner. Kick out the deposits, and carbon dioxide. It's more efficient when you winterizing your motor too

I don't winterize my 2 stroke outboard. I usually use sea foam to clean. It works great as well

Did it seem to help clean the carbs to ? I use seafoam because it cleans the carbs but if this cleans them as well then I'll definitely try it. Thanks for the video great job

I am not sure if it cleans the carbs, if it does then it's a double win !

Power tune is the best stuff invented ! I have twin verado 250 HP four stroke outbourds they work hard ,! 2011 models with six thousand hours on the current computers and twelve months on the old computers ! The best thing about the stuff is it cleans the plugs and the glaze off the bores ! I also use it in my chainsaws and other small engines ! It is truly a miracle spray ! It's also very toxic I was cringing when I see him so close to a house doing it ! It must be done outside with some wind away from anybody breathing ! It can cause death if the fumes go inside and can't escape but that is The price you pay for good stuff ! It's better than any carburettor cleaner for washing parts and two stroke tailpipes come up a treat internally ! It's similar to oven cleaner but heaps better at removing carbon ! Maybe don't use on some really old cars as it could make it too clean then it could burn oil ! I use it from about two hundred hours and then every service and my engines internally are like new ! Especially when the two stroke mix is left in saws or wipper snippers longer than twelve months it cleans that gum out good of the fuel lines and needle and seat ! Keep a can in your tool box and U will fall in love with the stuff and end up keeping it under your pillow so nobody else uses it all👍😁 if your having dramas with the legs on the big Merc two strokes always doing seals it's because the exhaust only has a small hole in to let water down and it carbons up and can cost thousands in leg repairs till the hole is cleaned but not many mechanics know this ! Power tune fixes that problem and seals don't get hot no more power tune has saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars in repair bills your outbourd mechanic really did U a favour telling U to use it !

Thanks Darren for sharing your experience. Next time, I will be using it in an open space. And yes, it works great.

Thanks for the video! I was wondering how well it worked. Wondering…did you do anything after this to clean up the carbon from the exhaust port? Don’t know if it matters, or if you just sprayed it out. Any reason to remove the prop and clean? Not sure how gummy or sticky the residual carbon is. It seemed to come right off of your finger…which is a good sign!
Lastly, do they recommend using the entire bottle? I would have thought a few sprays to get it going. If it’s the bottle…did they recommend a frequency for using it? Engine hours? Performance based (just when your engine is running rough)?
    Thanks again!

I would suggest to use the entire bottle. If you need to clean exhaust just hose it or use engine degreaser if desired, and Yes it works keeps my engine running good.

Did you use muffs to avoid burning out the water pump?
