Every macro lens has a shallow depth of field, varying with the distance to the subject. With a normal macro lens one can adapt the focus by varying the distance to the subject slightly, but that's not possible for this lens. The focus distance of this lens is fixed, just like the focus distance of a magnifying glass, which this lens in fact is.

That was test after 5 minutes to show everything what it can for beginners because not everyone use manual focus and peoples need to know what they can waiting from this lens ! Like i say in video i don't do marketing just make review for beginners

@@rozentals_photography28 I see, thanks mate! I was using a macro lens that I made out of an old camera lens, but unfortunately I've lost it (it was really good). So I bought this 100mm one today!

@@wedneymoyses this is only in case if you don't have change to buy camera and macro lens and like an photographer i will say true - normal camera and normal lens will be much better option but much more expensive

@@rozentals_photography28 I'm very happy with the results my Mi8 produces with these lenses! I even use it as a way to work with and identify my spiders at home. I'm an arachnologist and sometimes I just don't have the space or time to take my DSLR out. The phone is much more practical in every way and I love the results. Besides, a DSLR macro lens is very expensive, just as you said! I have an older Nikon D60 that I use with an extensor tube, but I prefer just to take my phone and a little lens.
