Totally agree with you. After spending time scrolling we end up with regrets all the time. I still miss how instagram was just for posting photos and CZcams just for original videos...nothing more, nothing less. After introduction of reels and shorts and other new features, apps became complicated and don't have the same feeling as before.

The amount of intentionality in this video is incredible. The suggestive breaks to do what you need to do and mindful walks and socialization makes this video so meaningful. Such quality content over a short video and a small topic like a beautifully written essay.

Wait, you can leave your room during quarantine in Japan?? When I quarantined in Australia we were very literally confined to our room for two weeks! Leaving your room seems to kind of defeat the purpose of quarantining haha
yes, japan allows ppl to leave your quarantine place to get necessities like food or run errands, as long as they don't take public transport.
I'm quite surprised by this as well, since I recently saw Tokyo Lens quarantine in Japan. Unless he's finished his 7 day quarantine and is staying in hotels while waiting for his more permanent accommodation .

Well I learned it the hard way lol, the last like a week I was using my phone like crazy, playing games, scrolling through CZcams shorts for like 1 hour (which I realized after looking at the "time watched" feature) and 2 days back I literally started getting an eye twitch and I kid you not it's so damn irritating, thankfully that led me to not at all use the phone and today I used it to watch like 20mins worth of content! Thanks Keo for reminding us that!

I literally deleted Instagram to avoid the mindless void of Reels and now I’ve fallen into the void of Shorts. You’re right, the content is literally the same: Videos of other peoples’ content, glimpses of interviews, shows, movies and stand up comedy shows.
I did find a few contents creators I like and love to watch but yeah, most of it is recycled content (garbage).

Instagram and CZcams had been my escape after a whole day of interacting with some toxic people and being stressed at work (I suffered from anxiety during these times). But after I resigned and moved back home, I tried interacting more with my neighbors and I noticed that I seldom use these apps except watching videos with quality content. Even as an introvert, after doing this, I noticed that my mental health improved a lot for the better.
Thank you so much Keo, your channel is one of my few go-to channels ever since and you never disappoints. Keep doing amazing videos!

Not only are most vertical short videos carbon copies, they're mostly very cringey but get very high views. Many creators are getting discouraged that long videos are no longer getting the exposure they deserve, thus moving on to becoming a short video creator.
But you, Keo, is a whole different breed. You don't chase clout & keep up with these high quality videos. I appreciate it a lot!
