This made me emotional for some reason. As a kid, I loved cars too. And the moment when I got my driving licence, it felt unreal. Everyday when I take out my car, it feels like a whole new experience. Life moved really quickly from wondering "When will I ever drive a car?" to actually driving it.

The ae86's animation at 7:36 was done by an artist called Da Dou and I can guarantee you that each episode of takumi driving that car felt the same way, same graphics when I was a kid, this feels so accurate.

this makes me all too emotional. just last week, i was crying in my bed bc i'll turn 20 this year. i was 17 when the pandemic started. and i'm still at home. aah i wish we all get to make more memories that won't fade. those that make you both smile and and the heart heavy when you remember them. :3

Aye bro, similar situation. Can't really go anywhere, and whilst I wish I bought a Japanese Car, I ended up buying a classic Australian muscle car to restore to pass the time... Still not finished yet. But I say if you have the opportunity and the money, get a car that needs saving, and try to save it. Hard to explain, but despite only having driven my car home, before pulling it apart, I still feel a deep emotional connection to it, and I wouldn't trade it for the world

It's crazy how much our dreams and feelings towards this align with each other. When I got my drivers license, I snuck out at night, EVERY, SINGLE, NIGHT, and just drove around. My first car was a old VW Golf T2 in white. It belonged to my grandmother. Ironically enough, I also started watching initial D right around that time. That's when I started using my midnight drives to learn how to speed up, use the throttle efficiently etc. And even tho my car only had 50 PS at the time, I was able to let people and other drivers eat my dust in illegal street races. So I actually made a name for myself in my hometown, untill I realized what I did was too dangerous and I stopped after our races got the attention of the police. However, my dream to own a AE86 Trueno will never fade away and one day, I wish to participate in real drifting races. These drifts in Touge shown in the anime, but also real footage of illegal Japanese street races just start an emotion inside of me I can't even put into words or explain.

Dude, this made me so emotional. I always felt such a huge emotional attachement with any car - I used to cry when we had to return a rental car. Initial D also made up a huge part of my childhood and I have resolved that my life is a failure if I never drive an 86. The cinematography on the video is beautiful as well!

Seeing an AE86 leaves an impression on you. I saw a really rare red LHD AE86 here in America 6 years ago and it inspired me to get my 22 GR86. I also want an AE86 but importing one from Japan is gonna take some time for me, I wanna enjoy the new one first
