Frankie’s NC Miata is one of my favorite Miata builds for sure! The Racebred Components GT Wing and the blue Enkei RPF1’s make it so unique. Let us know your favorite part of his track build :) Make sure to check out his socials, his sponsors and the other helpful links in the description!
I have a 2015 pearl white Club Edition with the retractable top. I've had it up to 135 on the freeway and the car feels as comfortable as it does it 70. I wish it would do 160 that's my only complaint
@@abc.garage I ran up on two police officers that night but since they didn't have me paced by the time I slow down they weren't able to pull me over😂. It's only stupid if you don't get away with it
It depends on who you ask. Generally, whatever someone has or is selling is touted as the best. But, I will say the Ohlins are noticeably bigger around, allowing for larger pistons with bigger valves. Theoretically that means the Ohlins have potential for a wider range of damping and oil flow rates. Whether that potential is actually put to use is another question. A larger shock body is generally an advantage in fast off-road applications where oil flow rates can be outrageous, and theoretically the same could apply to smashing curbs. But all you need is "enough". As a trade-off, the Fox are lighter and slightly less expensive. Fox knows a thing or two about making shocks that take big impacts, since they are the OE supplier for the Ford Raptor. Both Fox and Ohlins got their start making high-end motocross suspension in the 70s during the long-travel revolution. That doesn't mean anything for Miatas, but I thought it was neat. I don't think a single person on Earth has actually owned both and written their experiences on the internet. Also, at a certain point, it's conceivable that the car might be a bit low and short of travel for smashing big curbs at speed.
@@abc.garage I got an NB. I am doing the top now and bought full leather for the seats. Love the car. Much easier for me to work on than my SL500. I plan to keep my NB for my life. I am a Mercedes tech by trade so this is my first Miata. my next car will be either a Cl or Sl 55amg. the thing with the loud exhaust is that it covers sounds that you may want to hear
@@abc.garage I love mine. I got lucky and found it with 59k miles.. I went thru the suspension and other things. I will be replacing the seats next. I wish i could get new carpet. I will make it new again and keep it till the end
Change that overflow tank before it cracks. Had mine crack and they're known to crack and leak. I think Moroso makes an all aluminum one. Nice car
The neck cracked and broke off on mine while I was replacing it...
I still have the stock one and my NC has 190k miles.

the good things about these newer NC's is the stock internals. If you have an NC1 chances are it will blow up at those revs :D
Bertie's Works good to know!
@@abc.garage Thats where the 2.5 Swap comes in :)...Keep the revs under 7k RPM or build the bottom end with better rods.
Very nice track oriented MX5!
schellingrs agreed, he puts down very fast times as well!
Sick car👌 and nice vid
Poltie zijn vieze nutteloze ziekte lijers thank you!!
Beautiful car and a beautiful man. Love you Frankie!
PS: you still owe me a ride in your NC so I can feel out you suspension setup lol
Beakz_ LOL the Miata holds it down
Why such different front/rear springrate? Neutralize oversteer? This a miata thing?
Not too sure, but dm him on IG he’ll tell you!
great looking car
Yupppp
Just needs a hardtop.
I got it haha
DAMNNNNN
Fastest NC around!
Adam Tarnoff yeah that sub 2:00 is impressive
How wide are those tires ?? Cool little car likeeeeeee !!!!!! Looks amazing
I believe he's running 17x9
Dang
P1zaro legit though
Where can I get blue RPF1'S like that?
I believe these were painted like that from the manufacturer so you’d have to look at the different colors available for the RPF1’s
Car is beautiful man 👀

Nice video, what is the song used in 0:03-0:20?
CZcams audio
great vid. what size tires and did the fenders need to be rolled?
Yokohama A052 Tires (255/40/17)
Not sure if he rolled his fenders
I'm running 17x9 and 245 definitely needed front and rear roll
What offset are your wheels? Did you need to roll your fenders?
Hit him up on IG he’ll answer
Looks like 17x9 +40mm. Yes needs a roll.
Holy fucking wang bro. That thing must be planted
Planted on the track even at 100+ mph
Cool build.
Does anyone know how the Fox and Ohlins compare for the NC?
I believe Ohlins are better than Fox

Nice car and thanks for the video. Not trying to offend but do all CZcams videos contain the same crappy music?
LOL well since the options are limited for copyright free music a lot of the music is reused or repeated
Get a quite muffler. there is no advantage to all that noise. You can have silence and good exhaust flow
Driving on the track it helps to hear the exhaust

There's no such thing as a 2013 Mazda Miata. There is, in fact, a 2013 Mazda MX5.
Shut the hell up lol
